Fremont Interurban IPA

Fremont Interurban IPA

Named after Fremont’s most famous outdoor sculpture, Waiting for the Interurban, Interurban India Pale Ale offers the adventurous beer lover a warm embrace of organic Gambrinus roasted pale malt swirled with a hand-selected blend of flavor malts and filled with the rich spice of Chinook, Centennial and Cascade hops. Interurban India Pale is a session beer, eminently drinkable throughout the year.

4.3 This is different, with a touch of old fashioned beer, with Centennial, Cascade and Chinook, that now aren't that trendy. Piney, citrusy on the nose, with a bready and caramel note. Light tropical aroma. Beautiful clear golden, a nice, frothy, rocky and everlasting white head, clouds of foam on the glass. Bitter, roasted malts, pine, grapefruit and minor tropical note. Balance to the hops but with a solid malt character. Light body, crisp and high carbonation, easy to drink. An unexpected excellent, crepuscular, American IPA, pity for the small can.
3.7 Clear gold with a thick white head. Aroma is citrus, mango, black tea, and pine. Taste is medium sweet and medium/heavy bitter.
3.4 Cans from Small Batch 8-16-15
3.8 Well it looks like an IPA. Real bright citrus and resin nose, mild to medium bitterness with a nice grapefruit and lemon rind kick. Semi dry to maybe all the way dry. So this is my first real west coast IPA at least while on the west coast. Good stuff. very lean and tight.
3.8 Draft: Poured a golden color ale with a medium size white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrus hoppy undertones with light bitter notes. Taste is dominated by citrusy hops notes with light malt presence with some bitterness noticeable in the aftertaste. Body is about average with good carbonation. Highly drinkable west coast style IPA.
3.6 355ml can. Pours a hazy orange with a large, foamy, long lasting, white head that leaves curtains of lace. Sweet fruity aroma of caramel malt, orange, grapefruit, pineapple and piney hops. Sweet fruity flavour of bready caramel malt, mango, pineapple, orange, grapefruit, pine resin and bitter grass in a spicy hop finish. Medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Tasty and enjoyable.
3.7 A great go-to IPA. The kind you could drink all night at a house party. Clear, yellow colour. Hops with notes of citrus and resin.
3.6 Draft. Pours a medium, well retained off white head, with slight lacing, over a slightly hazy amber (SRM 7) body....nose is light pine, resin, slight fruits, mild malts, balance to the hops....taste is mild malts, pine, light fruits, slight dank grass notes, finishing with moderate bitterness, balance to the hops....mouth feel, medium body, mild alcohol, moderate carbonation. This is a typical, drinkable IPA. BJCP 9/3/13/4/7
3.6 22 oz bottle, from notes. Pours a clear dark golden/light amber color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have orange and grapefruit citrus, resin, earthy notes, mild to moderate bitterness, drinkable but nothing stands out.
3.4 Can from World Beer Market (Sake no Taniguchi). Citrusy nose, with grapefruit, orange rind, and some light pine. Orange/gold color, small white head. Light citrus, small caramel, bready and mild, with a light balanced finish. Okay. Pretty tame by contemporary West Coast standards, but very drinkable.
3.5 Pint can into shaker. Thank you, Bitterlady. Copper coloured beer with a large foamy white head and light carbonation. Looks good, smells of caramel, malt, pepper and fruit. Good body, flat mouthfeel. Dry, spicy, peppery finish. Very good IPA. Super easy-drinking at 6.2%. Could drink this all day (not really advisable).
3.5 Can from Beer Republic. Clear orange with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and moderate hoppy - fruity and old hops. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish. 280818
3.5 Ban from Beerma Kanda. Pours darker shade of orange, not too much foam there. Sweetish apricot and fruity-malty nose, light hop bitterness. Either hop character was quite mild from the beginning or it has somewhat faded already. Tastes light, sweet and malty but not too heavy, rather fruity instead, dried apricots, with more serious bitterness lingering there in the finish. Cjtrusy (orange marmalade?) and just juicy, easy-drinking. Just not very hoppy.
3.4 12 ounce can I got when out west. Drunk at the house in pint glass. Smell the pine Big, fluffy white head with film on glass. Deep golden in color and hazy. Taste some hops but not over done which I like. Little bit of pine after taste which I like. It lingers Just a little touch of bitterness. Good beer for this style. Cheers!
3.5 Good IPA with long lasting taste, quite sweet and you can tell you are drinking a 6.2% beer
3.4 355 ml can. Canned on 09.02.2018. Pours clear golden color with a large white head. Aroma is mostly resinous, mild hops, some orange and faint malt notes. Flavor is malt-forward, some resinous hop bitterness, orange, mild caramel notes on the finish. Decent malty IPA, slightly old though. 4424
3.7 From a 22 oz. bottle. Pours a clear copper with a bit off white head. Aroma is of pine and tropical fruits. Flavors are bitter citrus peel. Lingering bitter finish. Nice IPA.
3.4 355ml can. Pours orange. Orange peel, grapefruit, pine, toffee, biscuit, peachy finish. Medium body. Very easy drinking.
3.2 Can. Toasted malt aroma with notes of caramel malt, floral hops and some grapefruit. Pours clear amber colored with a large off white head that has excellent retention but little lacing. Starts with toasted malt and caramel malt flavors with little hop flavors. Finishes very dry as the hop flavors assert themselves with grapefruit hop citrus and bitter floral hop flavors as well as a hint of pine. Decent, but I didn’t think it was well balanced.
2.9 Pours a darkish amber from a can, some lacing. Aroma is of sourdough toast. Flavor adds some spiciness. Okay beer.
3.7 Draft. Session beer my ass. Aroma of toast crust and caramel. Flavor follows nose with gingerbread and a bit of tangerine. Really bursting and clean.
4.2 Citrusy with a melon aroma. Initially hoppy sensation followed by a super dry hoppy after taste. I hate IPAs but may drink this again. Good job Fremont. Purchased at 722
4.0 Draft at Seattle Taproom. Mostly clear golden-orange color, off white head, lots of lace. Grapefruit forward hop profile, resin, a little grass. Drinks on the bitter side. Nice, traditional PNW style IPA.
3.6 Amber colored with a white head that lasts. Aroma is dank with grapefruit, pine, citrus, caramel. Medium bodied, moderate bitterness, dank, citrusy, tasty.
3.4 Slightly hazy light amber golden color with big frothy white head. Nice apricot, citrus and cherries in the nose. Medium full body with good carbonation. Modest bitterness but hops don’t shine. Overall not bad but not memorable
3.8 Draft at SEA airport. Light, golden and frothy. Sticky both visually and in the mouthfeel. Nice Northwestern, mushy hop appeal. Rich but drinkable. (#6866, 1/6/2018)
4.1 Saturday, August 08, 2015 2:30 PM 12 ounce can poured to tulip glass Sight: clear, amber, small foam Smell: fragrant, hoppy and malty aroma Taste: medium bitterness, sweet Mouthfeel: medium carbonation, finish can be improve, long bitter aftertaste Overall: very good beer something to repeat
4.3 Aluminum can from 7-11: Poured with a thick white foamy head and a solid golden liquid. Aroma is fragrant with quality hops that bring out scents of sweet onion and some other smells of fruit perhaps strawberry or honeydew melon. The flavor is bitter sweet in a good way and brings sensations to my taste buds and has a luscious finish. Palate is so well balanced it is gratifying. Such a good beer. Will make sure this beer is sold out where I found it for the fair price of $11
4.1 From a can into a chalice. Pours gold with head and lace. Aroma of grains, grass, straw hops. Medium carbonation and mouthfeel. Flavors of pale malt, grains, floral hops, straw hops, minerals, grapefruit zest. Overall rich, smooth and quite tasty.
3.7 Pours a golden orange on tap with fluffy white head that dissipates to leave good lace. Aroma of dank piney hops and mild caramel malts. Taste is bitter piney hops with a hint of grass, malt is hidden by bitterness here. Old school, but solid.
