3.4 Really heavy and dark and full of flavour, very nice brer . Heavy duty dresden. Tastes quite sweet, a little too much. D&S Dresden 3.6 Aug 2019) Revised to 3.4, a bit too harshly acrid sweet
3.1 50cl bottle. Medium creamy white head. Clear golden pour. Herbal/caramel aftertaste.
2.7 50 cl bottle from the brewery. Golden, clear with a large frothy white head. A grainy aroma with malt and hops. Sweet, ligth bitter with a grainy and sweet malt end.
Jehova statt Odin.
2.2 0,5 liter bottle. Nope, not the one for me. Maybe I drank it on the wrong temperature..
2.6 Flaske 500ml fra Pi Pa Po. Delt med Rune på rom 605 - Amano Home Berlin 12 Jan 18. Gylden. 0 skum. Lett krydderaroma. Silkemyk munnfølelse. Smaken honning. Søt & kjedelig.
2.3 500ml bottle picked up at Pi Pa Po, shared with Finn. A clear amber coloured body, dissipating off-white head, fragile lacing. Sweet and papery dry malts on the nose. Honeyed caramel taste, dry. Sweet and dry ending. Gets too sweet in the long run. Accepted to a certain degree. (Hotel room, Berlin 12.01.2018).
3.2 Bottle from Globus Losheim, Saarland, Germany! Pours clear amber with a beige head. Aroma of honey, toffee and biscuit. Taste has very much sweet honey, caramel and candy sugar. Very sweet honey'ish finish with some biscuit.
2.8 Clear bright yellow, white foam head. Sweet honey aroma and bit too sweet honey taste for me. Not my thing. (Velp 201708)
4.0 aste is very sweet, lots of malts, light sugar, light honey, caramel, toasted malts, light toffee. Medium body, soft carbonation that fits good with the taste. Not bad if you like sweet beers.
2.1 Mal aroma y a leva Buen aspecto carbonatacion media En boca plana y oxidada. No repetire
2.3 Along with Yves at home philip amber coloured body with a white head and a spicy sweet fruity hop aroma a spicy fruity honeyed sweet taste with a sweet slightly bitter finish
2.5 Shared with wim at phil’s place. Amber colored beer with small white head and no carbonation. Fruited herby aroma. Full sparkling palate. Finish is very sweet.
2.7 Bottle of 50cl @Berlin. Rubi colour, few smell. Very sweet, honey has been added after fermentation. It’s not really bad, but it doesn’t like beer.
2.5 0.5l bottle in vereinslokal. pours a clear pale amber with a small white head and no lacing. aroma of sweet grains, corn, honey. flavour of honey, orange blossoms, chestnut. slight bitterness towards the finish. fruity, a bit too sweet for me.
2.7 Flasche 0,5l: Bernstein, glasklar, etwas grobporiger Schaum; in der Nase sehr süß, Malzzucker, dazu deutliche Honigsüße, etwas Getreide, Müsliriegel; in Körper kräftige Süße, deutlich Honig, Malzzucker, cremig, deutliche Kohlensäure, dunkle aufgesetzte Fruchtigkeit, dann langsam trockener, leichte Hopfenbitterkeit; sehr süßer Nachgang mit leichten Hopfennoten
1.2 500ml bottle (random place, Berlin) Scary sweet aroma, worse than corny, just a sweet mess. Taste way worse, scary sweet, slick and sticky, slimy even. Total sweet horror. Diacetyl everywhere. Scary mess.
1.3 500ml bottle (no idea where we got that, Berlin). Clear amber color. Small size, white head, stays. Husky, barley, dusty, papery and glue in aroma. Horribly sweet, caramel, liquid honey in taste. Fuckly sweet. Nope nope nope.
3.0 Amber brown colour, white head. Aroma of sweet malts, honey, brown sugar. Sweet flavour, honey, sweet malts, reminding of wort. Sweet malty finish. (from 50cL bottle @ home)
2.4 Christmas bottle off Shimmer. Prost! Engaging German nostril of dense sappy shrub, varnished wood and caramel. Unexpectedly syrupy toothrot death flavour with the blossom and sap of the hops immersed in bee shit. Odin would be embarrassed to be seen drinking this. A pity.
2.9 330 ml bottle bought at Hexapi (HK)’s booth at HKCEC in Wan Chai during HKTDC Food Expo 2016. Clear amber colour; Less than one-quarter finger head and residual spapy white foam which fades in 10 seconds; Good sticky lacing with barely notable slight carbonation; Sweet aroma of amber malt, with strong honey, red fruit, very light cardboard, floral, sugar, light bread and faint grass; Medium sweet taste of light malt, with fairly strong honey, hint of dark fruits, floral, biscuits, light lemon, medium bitter hops and grass; Close to light body. Slightly slick palate; Mouth feel is like a light amber lager mixed with fair amount of honey – watery background with fair maltyness, honey is orange-blossom like, sweet but not overwhelming. Some light dark fruityess. Hoppy bitter with light lemon to round. Okay… Hoppiness is floral and faint grass in nose; Light lemon, floral and grass in taste; Bitterness is moderate for a lasting, mid astringent honey and bitter finish; Fairly dry after taste. Sweet and quite bitter to mouth. Comments: For a honey beer, this one’s has fair amber maltyness while the honey is fairly strong in aroma and taste. Neither cloying or annoying, better than I expected and quite nice to have for this style!
3.2 Pours amber from the bottle and leaves a creamy white head that lingers and lingers. Aroma promises malt and, yes, honey, which is the defining ingredient for the brew - despite coming in at only 2.5% of the overall content. Taste is cloyingly sweet, with honey in the foreground, and everything else very much pushed to the back. No real bitterness here. Medium bodied, perfect carbonation level. Pleasant enough if you like an occassional beer on the sweet side. This is a beer guaranteed to polarize.
1.8 Haphazard Odin bottles 2010ish, mercifully forgotten over the years. Resurfaced 2016 as an alias 33cl bb09/2016 "Fürstlich Drehna Selection Honig Bier", a "Biodegradable Premium Luxury Biermischgetränk". Clearish amber pour. Dusty sweetness in aroma, Bloemenbier-sickly sweet with a stroopwafel edge over a Märzen malt. Cardboard honeysweet notes fade into a Märzen as if this has been blended 5sec prior to bottling. Slick palate. - Beer mix drink indeed - more than half down the drain. See Fuller’s Honey Dew for an actually drinkable Bio beer and Bloemenbier for an undrinkable one with more bite and yeast culture to it.
2.5 Bottle. Pale brown-orange color, clear and with a medium rocky white head. Floral in the nose, light herbal, grain and some hints of sherry. Surprisingly not much honey here. Taste is very sweet, with a light bitter balance. Sweetness is ok, not overwhelming or sticky. Medium bodied with some thickness but still feels somewhat light. The honey is coming through in the mouth with a stronger honey and floral flavor. However still not very distinctive or complex. Aftertaste is light sweet and short. Solid.
1.6 Bottle from bierpost.com Pours tawny brown with a mid sized off white head. Aroma is sweet, malt, dark fruit. Much too sweet. Opressive sweetness in finish. Drank half and rest had to go.
3.2 A little bit different to your regular beer. Quite sweet honey notes, which dominate a bit too much. Reasonable effort though.
