4.0 Decent little lager. Only 11 ounces! Bought a 12 pack- really only an 11 pack... like the stubby bottle- reminds of the old Oly- still feel a little cheated though. Seems like the kind of brewery that would make a 13 pack... someone needs to...!
3.1 From Feb 2008 I got this in a trade with Wasatch. Thanks John! It pours from 11oz stubby a clear yellow-gold with a small but stubborn head of foam with a bit of lacing. The smell has a hoppy bitter nose with just a smidgeon of malt. The taste has some nice hop bitterness up front with a mild but definitely present malt character that smooths out the bitterness nicely. Very easy drinking Lager here! The mouthfeel is darn good for the style and the carbonation is on the high side but again, this is one easy to drink Lager that I'm liking a lot. Thanks again, John!
3.5 Very mild grassy aroma. Appearance - golden, clear, white foam. Taste - light sweetness, lightly bitter. light body, lively, Nice, smooth finish with no very mild bitterness. This is one of the best American Lagers on the market. It stays consistent from first sip to last. Unlike more hoppy Pilsners, it does not get more bitter as it warms. Full Sail is a very underated brewery with range and depth of products. Thanks FS for making this fantastic Pilsner!
2.6 Light straw color; Medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of malt, hops, & some grain; Flavor of slight sweet malt, caramel, hops, and light floral; Decent lager.
2.8 12 oz can poured into a tulip glass. Pour is golden with a medium white head. Aroma is sweet and malty. This is a good lay back sort of lager. Would recommend to friends and the price is reasonable.
3.2 12 fl oz bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow. Small white head. Aroma is grassy. Straw. Light bitter. Grassy. Mild toasted malty. Bitter and dry hoppy. Grassy into a medium dry finish.
3.1 Decent light American lager. A little more hop flavor and bitterness would improve the flavor.
3.2 A solid classic lager with a touch of sweetness. Goes well with light appetizers. Good for sipping.
2.5 Pretty much your standard lager, moderate malt and cereal grain sweetness offset by apple esters and a teensy-weensy noble hop flourish on the end. About as middle-of-the-road as craft can get, which apparently is this beer’s purpose. Better than macro swill, and I’ll admit it’s a nice, refreshing bottle after working in the flower beds all afternoon, but not something I’d seek out again.
2.7 Pale golden colour, white head. Aroma of malt, hops, hay. Dry lightly sweet taste, mildly bitter finish. Thin body and average carbonation. Fine lager.
3.8 This is a delectable beer for those who have had a shit day. when I feel like I’ve been fucked over tremendously, a six pack of these and my problems are long forgotten.
3.0 Bottle in Brooklyn - Friend said its a good average beer. and it is. But nothing more. No off tastes, medium malty body, crisp taste. Okay.
3.2 Ultra clean lager. Clear, flawless vibrant gold color with a fizzy head with a quick disappearing act. Sweet corn in the arom and taste. A a surprisingly better than normal kickback and smash lager.
2.6 O.k so i paid $3.75 at a local cafe for it but i am glad i didnt get a whole sixer. Pretty much what you expect for an american lager in a red stripe inspired bottle. Grassy smell and taste a little malty with some honey notes. Mouthfeel is thin but crisp. Originally rated on 10/12/08.
2.5 Bottle at the Knickerbocker. Pours a light pale golden body with soft white head that dissipates to spotty lacing. Nose is a bit more wheat and banana than I would expect from a session lager. The grain and malt come off much more fruitier in this, and almost verges into witbier territory. Mouthfeel is medium to light bodied with notes of grain, banana, pepper, spice and bland malt character. Nothing great.
3.5 Clear, golden color. Aroma of grain , grass and malt . Malt and grain dominate in taste . Mild , hoppy bitterness at the end. Fair lager.
4.0 Really pound able. An easy summer drinker. No off tastes. A nice lager beer.
3.8 Aroma: grass, cereal Appearance: clear golden with a white head Taste: light sweetness, lightly bitter, Palate: light body, slick feel, average carbonation, clean finish Decent
3.3 On tap at the Hood River brewery. Crystal clear golden small white head. Classic pale lager less hoppy than I expected Melos and smooth.
2.7 11.2-ounce stubby bottles. Feels a bit thin, has a poor aroma, and is a little more carbonated than I would like but it has decent taste and has a pretty high abv for a "session" lager. Not great, but not bad either.
2.9 Bottle from City Beer. Light hop, grass, hay, grainy nose. Pale gold with a low, bubbly head. Sweet, somewhat grainy, a bit corny, light hopping. Faint Bitterness. Very boring, actually. And thin.
3.7 This is a good basic very drinkable lager. Inexpensive good taste would recommend.
2.7 Better than most lagers. They call it a session thought it is almost 6 percent abv. Very malty and bitter. Meh. Had at a party. Best option available
2.4 I just didn’t really like this beer. Maybe it was too watered down for me. The malts gave this beer an off taste, possibly due to the weakness of the hops. I would not have this beer with any kind of food as that just amplifies the off taste.
2.0 Rated based on notes taken 22 June 2012 -- Not much as far as notes go. Good beer?
2.5 Bottle 330ml @ Hotel Room, Four Points by Sheraton, Boston, MA Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, grain and grass. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.
2.8 Bottle. A clear, pale golden beer with a small, white head. The aroma is lightly grainy and mostly fruity, with pear drops, hay, grass and pine cones. It’s medium bodied and pleasantly carbonated, dry. Grass, pine cones, some hay and grains in the flavor, as well as a decent bitterness. Lasting mostly fruity finish with a suitable, drying bitterness. A decent beer indeed, but a rather boring style. Slakes the thirst. 150608
