3.5 Bottle from Morrisons. Hope I’m rating this in the right palce, as the bottle definitely said 4.5%, not 4.2%. Has a complex aroma of aniseed, liquorice and milky chocolate. Pours almost black, with a vigorous but transient beige head. In the mouth there is an initial bitter sharpness before the smooth chocolate kicks in. Bitterness lingers in the finish, with a hint of alcoholic strength. Nice, but a little watery.
3.5 Tap. Almost black. Aroma: burnt barley, croutons, hops and caramel. Taste: dry, bitter tones of roasted barley and malts, coffee beans, caramel, pleasant.
4.0 Aroma : Deeply roasted chocolate & sweet caramel maltiness, merest hint of soft red fruits and a slight ashy/smoky note. Taste : Dry roasty bitter...almost burnt chocolate malt upfront. Practically no sweetness in the taste anywhere. Light spicy tingle in the finish. Medium bodied. A quality sessionable dry stout.
3.5 Roast coffee. Dark malts. Dark chocolate bitterness. Decently creamy mouthfeel. Slightly dry. Quite smooth. Easy drinking stout.
3.5 Creamy light brown head left a spotty cover on a jet black still body. Caramel, dark chocolate & malt aroma. Medium bodied, soft over the tongue with tingle down the throat. Malt, roasted, chocolate & nutty tastes with fruity, tangy bitter finish. Great Pint!
3.8 Testing wielu piwerek ze znajomymi w Cesarskiej, brak możliwości szczegółowego opisania.
4.3 500ml bottle brewed in England at 4.5%. Rich dark appearance, black but for the crimson tint at the edges. Dark roast aroma. Low carbonation. Decent but swiftly-dissipating head. Some of the Fuggles/Goldings rustic British hop character is there, as is a suggestion of Chocolate from the malt, but primarily you taste roast coffee notes, more roast than coffee. Decent thickness on the mouth, but really seems to thicken up and settle down heavily in the aftertaste, down your throat and in your stomach - this would otherwise be eminently sessionable, but I imagine you'd swiftly feel full drinking this! A bit more bitter than sweet, but not especially bitter. Straightforward good-quality stout - an eminently competent challenger to Guinness if you dare compare the two...may well beat out Guinness Original XX in my book!
3.6 svart, ristede toner, lett kaffe, tynt, men lettdrikkelig..........................

3.8 Draught. Pours jet black with a creamy beige head. Aroma of dark chocolate, roasted malt, slight earthy and toasty notes. Taste is slightly dry, low bitterness. Flavors of roasted malt, dark chocolate, slight toast. Medium body, watery smooth texture, flat carbonation. A very smooth, gentle dry stout. Highly drinkable and enjoyable.
3.3 Kicsit, kesernyésebb a kelleténél, illetve, akarom mondani a kelletemnél, amúgy kávénak nem alkalmaznám. Roston sült maláta, ami még eszembe ötlik róla.
3.3 17.09.2019. 0,5l Bottle. Ujevnt, Bergen. Black colour with off-white head. Rich malty. Dark malts. Roasted, light burnt. Dry with dry aftertaste and mouthfeel. Medium body.
3.2 Black pour, beige head. Earthy notes, coffee, roasted barley, metallic notes. Light, borderline thin body, soft carbonation.
3.4 Bitter and light astringent notes. Smooth and dark. Everything a good stout should be.
4,9% ABV.
3.4 500ml bottle. Black colour with tan head. Dark roasted malts, cocoa powder, black coffee, light dried dark fruits, light black olive, light liquorice, light herbal, dark chocolate, figs, molasses.
3.1 Tap at Captain Cook, Östersund (maltfestival). Light black colour. Nothing to scream about
3.4 Pours pitch black with a thin head. Aroma of roast malts, dark fruits, oak barrels. Taste of roast malts, chocolate, coffee, caramel. A bit thin for a stout. Roast bitter aftertaste.
3.0 This is a fairly pleasant, easy drinking stout. It is quite thin with a rapidly disappearing head. Taste is a bit weak in comparison to the competition. Of the widely available bottles of stout/porter available in UK supermarkets, this is markedly inferior to Titanic Plum Porter.
3.4 Piwo pite w Cesarskiej w Sosnowcu, na kranie z Azotem. Barwa ciemna, na pewno azot sprawił iż piana trzyma się dłużej niż lane w tradycyjny sposób. Całkiem przyjemne w smaku.
3.8 Kran w Cesarskiej. Piękna pianka. Piwo ciemnobrązowe. W aromacie kawa, rum z colą i czekolada. Piwo gładziutkie, wodniste. W smaku kawowe z leciutką czekoladą. Wyraźnie wytrawne. Gorycz średnio-niska. Podsumowanie: Bardzo solidny i smaczny stout.
3.6 Wypite lane w Cesarska w Sosnowcu. Barwa czarna, nieprzejrzysta. Piana jasnobeżowa, nietrwała. Aromat wyraźnie palony. Poza tym ciemna czekolada. W smaku również palone, a dalej kawa, lekki popiół, trochę żywicy. Wyczuwalna delikatna kwaśność.
2.7 Bland slightly astringent thin for a stout, aftertaste of faint creosote. Not as bad as all that makes it sound, but neither pleasant. Perhaps a bad bottle?
3.7 A fairly decent stout with a decent coffee and roasted malt aroma. Certainly would drink it again if there is nothing else going
2.9 Bottiglia.
3.9 Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle and Mam and Dad's holiday, Cambridge. Black with a thin tan head. It has a rich liquorice, blackberry and chocolate flavour followed by a smooth bitter roasted and milk chocolate finsih. Very good.
3.0 500ml bottle at 4.5%. Black with a short lived tan head. Coffee roast aroma, flavour is roast malt, a little coffee, quite thin mouthfeel, overall a bit disappointing
