3.3 * Old rating, best before 19 Dec 10. Schönes, sehr süffiges und leicht getreidiges Ale. Nicht zu tief mit feinherber Note im Nachgeschmack.
2.8 Aroma: bread malts, flowers. Appearance: pale hazy gold, frothy head. Taste: light bitter. Palate: watery, light bitters, hay, floral hoppiness. Overall: below-average bitter, too bland, not enough flavours. Bottle from Sainsburys, Pimlico.
3.5 Pours a clear amber color, topped with an average white head. Malty aroma, some caramel and some hoppy notes. Taste is moderately herbal and hoppy with some nice bitterness in the finish. A nice one.
3.4 Aromas of toasted, nutty malts. Clear copper-amber with a fairly lasting white head. Decently dry, well balanced, earthy hops. Light-medium bodied. Very sessionable.
3.4 500ml bottle at home. Clear amber with a small white head. Light to medium body with ditto carbonation. Nice bitterness with some sweet tones. Some bread, pine hops, light caramel and herbs. A decent bitter.
3.1 Clear amber small off-white foam head. Decent bitter aroma and likewise taste, a nice British Bitter. Lasting aftertaste. (Velp 201409)
3.0 Bottle at the Village. The standard Fullers mix, low abv is of course welcome, well balanced etc. etc. But lacks the conditioning that makes the cask version such an interesting moreish pint.
2.7 Aroma of malt, some caramel, light hop. Flavour is light malty, light sweetness, with a fairly bitter finish. Body is light and watery. Very mild and too watery, but it went down well.
2.6 Draft at Beer Run, 8/5/14. Pours a clear copper with a medium sized creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of caramel, raisin, floral hops. The taste is weak caramel, earthy hops, plastic. Thin, watery.
3.3 Tap. Clear Amber with small white head. Light malts, very dry fruits and light pine hops. Bit of roasted grains. Light bodied with slight dry feel. Pretty decent light beer.
3.4 Bottle - light amber with a thin white head which fades to a thin ring. Aroma is floral and grassy with tangerine. Taste is peppery and malty followed by some flowers, grass and lemon. Light body, medium carbonation. Solid beer.
3.5 On tap at beer run. Pours a light copper with a loose white head that leaves no lacing. Aroma is the classic sweet orange of Fuller’s, with some spice. Taste is light toffee, some bread, and a gentle herbal hop note. Medium light body, very drinkable.
3.2 Bottle 0.5l thanks to Alberto at Belgrade tasting Matt’s place.Pour it amber colour with small white head.Taste is tipycal English with aroma of malt, hops.Bitter and sweet. Not bad
2.5 Flaska från Coop i Kalix. Klar brungul vätska med ett minimalt skum. Torkad frukt och koladofter. Lätt fruktig sötma och en sträv bitterhet på det. Kraftig i kolsyran, tunn i kroppen.
3.1 Botella de 50 cl, adquirida en Slainte. Color ambar. Sabor a malta, caramelo, suave. Da la sensacion de estar ligeramente aguada.
3.0 Draught @ Wildeman, Amsterdam. Pours clear amber brown, hardly any head. Very malty, mild with low 3,5%, but fairly bitter finish.
3.5 Really good for being a low-alcoholic beer. Clearly better than many stronger lager beers.
2.8 Bottle from Waitrose and drunk at home. Clear mid brown colour thin off white head. Some pasteurised toffee aroma and some peppery hop aroma. A little empty cos of the pasteurisation. I mean it’s not a good beer. I hate pasteurisation of beers with such light flavours as it completely ruins it in my opinion. Some ok bitterness on the finish. Very English hops which are ok. It’s better than when I first tasted it, but still, it could be better. Bitterness is the best thing about it.
3.1 @ Röhällavägen. Bottle (500 ml) from Coop Forum, Kalmar (24:-). Malty and hoppy with some fruity and caramelly notes, quite sweet and bitter, medium body with an oily texture. The finish is dry, bitter and fruity.
1.9 One of those bitters I have been waiting for years to give a nudge to and here it is, don’t know what the fuss was about on my part. Looks good, must say. In a Fuller’s pint it produces up a deep amber with steady streams of fine carbonation. Resilient head; messy, soppy white fluff that weaves a dense lace. Floral, rose garden, roast peanut, toffee and butterscotch tinged nose. In the mouth it heaves with nutty, buttery diacetyl. Soapy, slick finish, lasting and layering. Light touch of floral hops with medial bitterness. Light in body, almost to the point of watery. Drabby and flabby. A struggle to drink. Not in good form! 3.3 Bottle from Coop. Overall enjoyable, refreshing. Bitter finish, as supposed to be, but well balanced to the beer as a whole.
2.4 Butter, biscuit and a hoppy but thin finish. Floral nose. OK for the strength.
3.2 Bottle 50 cl. Pours copper color with white frothy head. Notes of caramel, toffee, tea, floral, citrus, grass. Nice refreshing bitter taste. Well done, for an alcohol level of only 3,5%.
2.4 This one poured a lighter brownish orange color with a white head. Aroma was of diaceytl, butterscotch and biscuts. Flavor was similar, biscut, caramel and cardboard. Bleh.
2.5 500ml bottle from Waitrose. Amber beer with a very think head that disappears quickly.Grassy and floral notes. Mild carbonation with mild bitter aftertaste. Forgettable beer.
3.2 Pale golden colour with a coarse cream coloured head and plentiful sparkle. Light malt driven aromas with gentle herbaceous hoppiness and lovely orange and mandarin aromas. Mild and tasty in the mouth with tangy bitterness dwelling on those citrus characters. Tasty stuff and eminently sessionable.
2.9 500ml bottle Appearance:Clear, red/brown beer with a small white head., poor retention light lacing. Aroma: grassy and floral notes and some butter Taste: Butter and floral notes, some light caramel,r. Nutty with appleskin light bitter aftertaste Thin body, soft carbonation.
3.1 Bottle in Kosovo, with huge thanks to ippopotamo36! Clear honey brown, soapy foam. Metallic, quite sweet but not precise. Very english hop presence. Soft bitterness. Slight sour. Alright.
3.2 500ml bottle from Tesco in Windsor. Light golden brown beer. For 3.5% there is a fair amount going on. Some fruity hop. Fair amount of malt backbone.
3.2 Clear, red/brown beer with a small white head. A hint of caramel and hops on the nose. Buttery and floral notes tastewise. Thin body but creaminess fixes the palate. Quite a good beer for only 3,5% alcohol.
