Fuller's Discovery (Bottle)

Bottle: Pasteurised.
This delicious, premium blonde ale from Fuller’s is the perfect combination of unbeatable flavour and refreshment.
Brewed using a unique blend of malted barley and wheat for a delicious malty taste bursting with rich, biscuity flavours, Liberty hops are then added for a distinctive zesty character and fruity bite, whilst Saaz hops add a gentle bitter taste for a clean, refreshing finish.
In cask, Discovery is 3.9% ABV, while in bottles the strength is 4.5% ABV.
Discovery tastes great served chilled, and its light, refreshing character makes it a perfect accompaniment to many foods.

3.2 Had in a bottle at home. Lemony grass aroma. Pours a clear golden straw color. Lightly carbonated with a minimal white head.
2.7 Smak och doft av humle, malt, frukt. Alldeles för tunn och vattning kropp. Doftar dessvärre mycket mer än det smakar.
3.1 Bottle at home. Pours golden with a good white head. Clean tasting and refreshing - a good session beer
2.6 Bottle 0.5 from local market. Colour is clear golden with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Fruits, bitterness, grass and malts.
3.1 500ml bottle. Golden colour, very refreshing taste. Biscuity aroma and flavour with maybe some fruit. Medium bitter finish. Very pleasant.
2.9 Bottle from Ocado; clear golden pour with frothy white head, bready malt aroma, light malt taste crisp and refreshing.
2.8 Bottled 0.5l ; Devon ; UK ; Floral and light malty aroma ; Golden color with bigger head ; Lighter sweet and bitter taste ; Light body , crisp finish ; Refreshing beer.
3.0 50cl bouteille.
3.0 500ml bottle. Clear golden amber colour, frothy white head leaving some lacing and zesty orange aroma. Taste is sweetish biscuity malt with citrus orange, through to a souring dry bitter finish. Refreshing. OK.
2.4 50 cl bottle. Originally rated on 20090605. Pours golden color with a small head. Aroma of malts, hops, some fruits and grass. Flavor of mild honey notes, hay, caramel and malts, some fruity notes too. Some disturbing off-notes ruin the show.
2.3 Not much to ’discover’ here hohohohohohahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah
2.7 Decent aroma, appearance, taste and palate, overall memorable. Rated from the bottle.
3.2 500ml bottle - Gold body, a thin but lasting white head. Gentle chalky nose with hints of citrus and melon, soft and slightly fruity in the mouth with some peach and a gentle hop bitterness. Slight chalky bitterness lingering in the finish. Nice and fresh.
3.1 Golden colour with a white head. Aroma of citrus and hops. Flavour to hops, yeast and a little malt with a light bitter finish. --- BeerItsNice
3.4 Bottle. Nice light gold with big fluffy white head some lacing. Aroma is some citrus. Floral notes and a yeasty hint. Taste is lightly sweet with malty undertones and a light mellow bitterness. Medium carbonation and mouthfeel. Very drinkable.
2.9 0.5l bottle. Light golden body with a white head. Aroma of biscuit and some fruityness. Balanced flavor between the honey and biscuit flavored malts and the fruity hops. An OK beer.
3.6 (500ml bottle) A gold/orange colour with a large off-white head leaves a light lacing. Taste is sweet malt with notes of caramel and a bitter/hoppy finish. Pleasant easy drinking session blonde ale when I find myself in a Fullers pub and its on tap. I like it.
3.0 500 ml bottle. 4.5%. 046. BB 15 NOV 12. (K-Citymarket) Kuopio, Finland. Clear pale golden colour with small white head. Fruity hops, banana, soap and sweetish malt in aroma. Flavour is fruity and floral hops, some bitterness and sweetish biscuity malt. Light, drinkable Blonde Ale.
3.4 Bottle shared with MichaelBruch. Aroma and colour like a mild German Pilsener, golden / blonde with some intensive hops aroma. Taste of citrus fruits, lemongrass and biscuits, dry and crisp finish.
3.5 Bottle shared with McTapps. Pours in golden with big stable head. Nose is typical Belgian white with a bit of yeast. Smell also awesome. Tastes nice with a bit of honey but has a strange metallic end. Without that it would be huge.
3.0 From old backlog. Golden colour with nice big head. Aroma is caramel, hops. Flavous is malt.
3.8 Aroma is fresh, light, fruity with floral notes. Citrus and excotic fruits. Clear golden, frothy white head goes fast but keaves some lacing. Taste is slightly bitter, fruity. Also biscuit here. Soft and round in mouth altough medium bodied, soft carbonation. Liked this one. Light and fresh but also aromatic.
3.5 Floral and light citrus aroma. Sweet, fruity maltiness. Smooth texture. Hoppy flavour but quite sweet, not so bitter.
3.2 Bottle 50cl, a clear golden beer with meduim head. Nose is hopy, aroma is sligtly toasted with nice grassy and honey hops, good round biterness, easy dinking beer.
3.9 Bottle. Dark yellow clear colour, with creamy off white head, quickly laying into nice lace. Aroma of hops and malted barley with a touch of caramel, wheat and biscuits. Flavor goes from light bitter to light acidic, back to "saaz" bitter in the aftertaste.
2.6 4.5% Bottle, brown 500ml type. One week before it’s best before date: poured into a vase shaped ’Old Speckled Hen’ pint glass. Lagerlike in its appearance, bright golden body and a pure white head on top. The head however disappeared very quickly leaving a thin collar. Fresh bread smell with wheat esters and a sweet yeasty aroma mixed within it. This had a summer beer feel to it (it is snowing outside at the moment), tangy, sharp and highy carbonated. Wheat and Barley is used in the brew, the wheat is evident in the taste more than the malted barley. An OK beer in the right circumstances, sunny and warm sort of times. Not late January (2010) when I reviewed it.
4.0 Pours a nice golden colour, big bubbled head fainting rather quickly. For the majority, this ale is a fantastic choice with food. The brew is very refreshing and is a bit sweet, yet sour. One its own it doesnt leave much though.
3.3 Golden in colour, quite well carbonated: pours with a very lively frothing but little in the way of a lasting head. Aromas are very citrussy: orange and lemon peel, and honey, The lemsip flavour continues through the initially slightly tart taste and sweet aftertaste. A refreshing beer with a strangely "sweet & sour" taste.
3.1 Tried this back ’09. Just on cool, out the bottle. Orange gold and sparkling with little in the way of carbonation. A Houdini head; now you see it, now you don’t. Aroma is sweet and reminiscent of orange toffee glaze, ripe peaches and apricot, and just a speckle of wheat. Sweetish start in the mouth. Nice, juicy citric flavours, tangy and zesty across the tongue with a subtley astringent bite in the back. Crisp, moderately bitter finish. Dusty malt and earthy hops give contrast to the fruity notes. A linger of what I can only describe as banana leaves builds as it goes. The body is good, or at least of what I expected from Fuller’s with prickly carbonation giving good bounce. Overall easy drinking ale that could benefit from being served chilled.
