Fuller's Frontier

Fuller's Frontier

Keg & Bottle: Filtered

Frontier is hand-crafted over 42 days combining the best of old world malts and 168 years of brewing knowledge with new world brewing techniques and hops. The blend of powerful new world hops and the distinctive Fuller’s yeast that is brewed at a higher temperature allows a deeper and more robust flavour to flood out. The brew is then carefully lagered for five weeks to fully condition the beer and give it the full and interesting flavour that differentiates it from its peers. Allowing the flavour to develop over time, Frontier is unpasteurised yet filtered to deliver the clarity our consumers have asked for. These factors combined deliver the unique taste of Frontier.

The result is a memorable beer with citrus and spicy notes, a light fizzy body and a clean refreshing taste.

2.4 Tap. Clear golden color with white head. Aroma is cereal, light herbal hops. Taste is cereals, grains, a bit earthy, light minerals. Chalky mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Not very good, but it's kinda alright.
3.7 Draft at a London pub. Dark gold, well bodied. Firm top. This has a corn-malt-heavy character, but also a nice kiss of hops on top. I'm not used to that hoppy swirl on a maize base, but I like it. (#7156, 8/2018)

3.4 33 cl can, BB Dec 31th 2018. Clear, dark golden amber, thick white head, low carbonation. Aroma is pleasantly biscuity. Mouthfeel is a bit oily, low carbonated. Taste is good, not your average pale lager, it's biscuity, grassy, citrusy and spicy.
3.1 Served cold from the keg at The Scarsdale Tavern near High Street Kensington. Light gold appearance and an aroma of cut grass and malts. The taste is light malts with hints of lemon and some floral notes. Light bitterness and lightish carbonation. Not bad tasting and better than many draught lagers. Perfect when the weather has been 30 degrees all day, like today.
3.2 It’s a really nice lager. Not overly fizzy, very refreshing and has a well rounded taste. A superior lager.
3.1 Clear golden, medium white head and nice lacing. Aroma is floral and malty. Tastes funky and light bitter, lemon, grass and pepper. Easy to drink, very thin body and a bit watery. Decent lager, nothing exciting, but it doesn't go along with corn and rice commercial lagers.
