3.5 Cask at Ye Olde Mitre Inne, London. Amber color with a big beige head. Malt and grass with a bitter aftertaste.
2.9 Beautiful copper color, smell is toffee and sweet malt all day for me, a little agitation and you pick up some scant whiffs of dark fruit. Had this in some pub in London after a hard night out, excellent hangover cure! A couple of pints of these and you are ready to get back on the horse :) Not bad at all.
3.9 Tap at Churchill's arms London. Copper color short offwhitr head. Taste malty and grassy, biscuits, caramel, with grassy bittering hops and hints of lemon. Smoother than the export version, less sharp, much more velvetu. A classic bitter, juicy fruity aftertaste, flat carbonation medmium body. Yeah, something to be proud of, somehow.
2.9 27th May 2019 - On cask at The Goose, Beaumont, Jersey. A reasonable bitter without been anything out of the ordinary. 12th June 2021 - at Les Fontaine Tavern, just about drinkable but only cask they had on
4.0 The Crown, Londres
5.0 Great red ale. Hoppy taste with a good malty finish. On tap
3.5 Malty and sweet. Little aroma light caramel and subtle chocolate notes. Great lasting head. Low bitterness.
3.1 Light brown colour with low carbonation. Front palate is quite sweet, but finishes with a mild round spicy bitterness.
3.6 Boa
3.5 Cask at Red Lion Westminster. Clear orange appearance. Aroma is hoppy, malty and sweet. Flavour is malty, bitter and quite sweet
3.0 Lightish brown. Very smooth caramel taste, quite mild. No bitterness. Easy drinking.
4.9 Have drunk this at the Mawson Arms at the brewery and fell in love with it so much that it now makes a regular appearance in the pub I work in. Well balanced, malty beer that is easy to drink.
2.8 Cask at Number Twenty2, Darlington. Clear golden amber colour, white foam head leaving lacing and malty caramel aroma. Taste is malt, earthy, some biscuit, grains and with metallic bitterness. Light to medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry metallic bitter finish. OK
3.0 Cask at The Dove, Hammersmith, Lobdon, UK. Poured a crystal clear coppery amber with a white blotchy cap that laced well. Aroma softly of biscuity malt, as is the taste. Light body. Smooth with a soft malty finish. Typical UK bitter.
2.5 Cask @ The Abbey. Pours clear amber, off-white topping. Subtle gentle malt on the nose. Taste is clean, exceptionally light with a gentle earthy malt character. Lacks any complexity or depth of flavour, just a standard crowd-pleasing bitter.
3.4 Cask @ Woodin's Shades, London. Clear amber with a small white head. Aroma of biscuits, mild citrus fruits, honey, malts with a little bit of diacetyl. Taste is toffee, citrus fruits, malts and some caramel. Moderate presence of hops. Low carbonation. Creamy mouthfeel. Nice Bitter and better than the bottled version.
3.3 Cask at Bishops Uppsala. Clear golden amber with whiteish head. Slight caramel notes, toasty bready malt notes with a discreet earthy hop profile in the background
3.3 A classic English cask nut brown ale. The malts have been roasted enough to give it a distinct caramel sweetness with very limited hop taste. It loses aroma as it is served cooler but retains flavour. This is one of the many regional nut brown ales which at one time were decreasing in number at an alarming rate. They all differ because of their differing water base and slightly different use of hops.
4.5 My favourite bitter/amber ale. I go for 'extremes' in malt/hop and find balanced beers to not stand out very much. This however, is amazing. Great use of British hops to create an ale that tastes of home. It's very sessionable as well, perfect for a night out in the boozer
3.2 Cask @ The Three Greyhounds, Londen, VII 2018 Licht kruidig helder Amber kleurig biertje met een zachte bitter. Origineel glas
3.3 Cask It's okay. Good beer for the evening. Mild. Proper ale. Bitter part is okay.
3.0 Golden brown, no head. Drinkable, nut quite flat in taste.
3.5 Cask (Union Inn, Cowes) - Amber in colour. Biscuity and fruity aroma with notes of apricot, sultanas and grain. Nicely balanced taste with grain, sultanas, dried apricot and some earthy and floral notes.
3.7 Pint from cask at The greyhound Pub. Tradicional malty real ale. Grainy, floral and extremely drinkable even in cask
4.0 Always has a place in my heart, even during the gradual move to pale ales during the summer, had one in the Fuller's pub at Heathrow Terminal 2 and it's a great beer and all rounder
3.5 Cask pour. The beer is a clear gold with a white head of foam. Grainy and a little floral aroma. Moderately sweet and doughy. Medium body and medium carbonation. Thicker mouthfeel. Pretty nice overall.
3.0 Van tap in Londen. Droog, maltig, licht bitter. (7-2016).---------------------.
3.2 Классический пример культа переросшего в масс-маркет с потерей качества...
4.0 Wonderful London ale. Same crisp flavourful ale everywhere it seems to be served on draught.
