Fuller's Organic Honey Dew (Bottle)

Fuller's Organic Honey Dew (Bottle)

Bottle: Filtered
<<>>A light golden beer with a zesty edge and a hint of honey sweetness, Organic Honey Dew is a naturally palatable brew that finds popularity among lager drinkers as well as ale fans.
It’s a popular misconception that only the honey is organic, but in fact the beer is brewed with entirely organic ingredients. It uses organic honey imported from Brazil, plus organic English malt and hops including the First Gold hop variety.

3.3 Hazy and clear appearance, with slightly sweet aroma coming from the honey and some citrus ingredients. The malt tastes fresh and sweet, alcohol is not noticeable and there is no bitterness from hops. I like the the flavor but is far from being the top of my favorite beers, so I can say is a good beer with a plain taste.
3.0 Clear golden appearance. Aroma is malt and hops. Flavour is honey, malt, hops and bitter.
3.1 The beer remind you more one ordinary "Pale Lager" beer than a pure "Golden Ale". The aroma has many wheat notes and nothing more. The taste has bitter direction with a lot of wheat notes and very few honey and lemon ingredients. The finish give you some kind bitterness with wheat flavors. The carboration is moderate and the beer is slightly watery. Overall a very sterile beer to drink and now i get the "Organic" text on the label. The beer remind you more a "Pale Lager" and that disappointed me.
2.5 Bottle from local ASDA. Very surprised this was a tick for me. Strong aroma of honey, almost sticky sweetness. Pours a aple yellow with a frothy transient white head. Taste has a honey sweetness, but also grains . Above average carbonation and an underflying metallic tang. Finish is sweet with hints of ginger. Bit of a mess really.
4.0 Muito boa
3.2 Sweet with slight bitter on the finish
2.9 Flasche 0,5l: Kräftiges Gold, glasklar, stabiler mittelporiger Schaum; fruchtige + frische Nase, deutlich Honig, Med, kräftige malzige + Honig-Süße, trockene Hopfennoten, Malz, Getreide, Karamell, Honigbonbon, dezente fruchtige Bitterkeit; leicht fruchtiger + milder Körper, kräftige Honignoten, dezente Hopfennoten, Malz, Getreide, Karamell, cremig, deutliche Kohlensäure, dezente Würze, leichte Kräuternoten; leichter fruchtig-würziger Nachgang
2.4 Pours a golden colour beer with a white head Notes of citrus fruits and strawberries and fruits
1.2 Aroma : Light grainy malt, merest note of sweet honey, straw Taste : As aroma. Thin & watery. Low bitterness, low sweetness, doesn't taste of much really…very boring !
2.7 Keg at the Bishops Arms Östersund. I've had this before and found it equally disappointing. The sweetness gives a kind of macro lager feeling without any aley bitterness to save it.
2.0 Taste like a thin pilsner with honey.
3.2 Bottle 500 ml from FB food and wine, corner shop near us. Aroma is malts, citrus, hay, bread, honey. Clear golden body with big white head. Refreshing with sweet malts and honey followed by bready notes and a crisp citrus finish.
4.3 Buona. Gesù Cristian.
0.5 Tættere på syrlige vingummier end øl
0.5 Har intet med øl at gøre
3.4 500ml bottle. I have been meaning to try this beer for years, finally got round to it. Pours clear gold with a small white head. Aroma is honey, bread and grain. Taste is slighlty sweet, fruity, honey. The honey is subdued, which isn't a bad thing.
3.1 Bottle @ Friends/Boilermaker. Appearance: pours clear golden with ok white soapy head and lacing. aroma/taste: barley, bread, honey, light oranges and floral notes. palette: medium malty aroma, average carbonation, medium body, medium sweetness, balanced by a light to medium bitterness, average duration and a watery texture. Overall: solid golden ale
2.6 500ml bottle in 2013. Clear mid golden with a white head. Lots of these honey ales kicking around at the time, but this was one of the better (read; not disgusting) ones. Honey in the aroma, with floral hops and sponge cake. Flavour was a little sweet, but had enough graininess to not be saccharine.
3.7 500ml bottle brewed in England at 5%. Almost murky golden colour. Smallish head, in parts active, in parts docile, not terribly long-lasting. Aroma is lager-esque with the key distinguishing note of honey. Moderate carbonation, flattening quickly. In short, it's a lager with honey, at least as far as taste goes. Don't let that put you off though: Fuller's bring their quality craftsmanship to the table here as usual, so it's a good lager you're drinking - you can actually taste the citrus in the grassy hops, even if it's faint, and the similarly light malt is pleasantly sweet - furthermore, the honey kicks in towards the end, and that's when this beer comes into its own. The honey ties everything together, adds body where the beer needs it, and coats the mouth making the flavours develop and linger. This is refreshing, and also worth savouring. But it's not brilliant either, just good. Fuller's can do better than good - I don't know what constrained them here, but I suspect it has something to do with making everything organic and then trying to target the organic market instead of the (golden) ale market. This is definitely one to try if you'd like to wean your lager-drinking friends onto bigger and better things. It does say serve chilled, after all...
2.0 Bright golden colour. Aroma: honey, nectar, flowers. Taste: watery, honey. Aftertaste: melon and flowers. Seems too sweet and unbalanced, aroma is pretty good though.
0.0 Suena aroma a miel. Bajo cuerpo.
3.1 Aroma: biscuit, honey, herbal hop Appearance: clear golden color with a one-finger white head. Taste: biscuit, bready malt, honey, herbal hop Palate: medium-low body, medium carbonation, very easy to drink Overall: It is very easy to drink. The honey flavor in the aroma and taste blends in very well and is stronger in the aroma than in the taste. Interesting and refreshing.
3.4 Backlog. Slightly hazy gold with a medium white head. The honey is very apparent, but works well.
4.0 A little shocked at low score. Beatiful organic beer.. Strong fizz. Minor sweetness. Slight farmyard flavours. Refreshing. Lovely beer. Tastes organic. Fizz of lager with potent natural flavours.
2.5 Leicht malziger Geruch, Honig?
