“August in Florida is God’s way of reminding us who’s in charge.” ― Blaize Clement
Unfiltered and refreshing, our German-style wheat beer is full on flavor yet light on the palate. Authentic hefeweizen yeast creates the compelling aromas of bananas, citrus, and cloves, while the all wheat and malt body perfectly captures the brilliance of an orange- and yellow-flecked Florida sunset.
Pairing Suggestions: Mild or sharp goat cheeses, arugula salad with lemon vinaigrette, grilled shrimp, beer-battered onion rings with spicy aioli, whole wheat crust pizza, honey-drizzled baklava.

3.3Subtle hits of orange and clove aromas. Mild bready malt. Mild flavors but balanced and refreshing.
4.0Thick and nutty for a heffevisen but it works really well. Bubbly too with a nice head
3.4Can from Total Wine. Slightly hazy and golden in colour, with a thin, white, head. Aroma of bubbld gum, tangerines, clove pine, and floral hops. Flavour had grainy malts, more cirrus fruit, a suggestion of spice and lingering, dryish, finish. A good what beer.
3.5Can from total wine & more in saint pete, nice place. Typical hefe aroma, maybe some bubble gum on the nose. Taste is near perfect hefe, no ill effects. Its been a while since I had a well made hefe and this one is quite good. Its almost as good as the real old country stuff. Good job on this one funky! Can drink a few of these. To top it off, it has good co2 from start to finish! Good satisfying overall beer tasting experience.
3.4On tap at a Holiday Inn in downtown DC. Orange and pepper, would make a nice beer slushy
3.2Can. Frothy white head with a hazy, light golden body. Aroma of toasted grain, banana, clove. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Taste of banana and clove. Far from the better hefes in aroma, texture and taste. But drinkable.
3.4Found out of can. Pours slightly hazy yellow with short lasting head. Good summer option.
3.3Drinkable if a tad pedestrian, with a moderate amount of banana-clove hefe goodness and a yeasty, lemon-tinted finish. Not bad.
4.2One of my favorites. It’s a nice thick light beer. Good taste, great color and doesn’t taste like piss water or dirt.
3.7I had this at Riverwalk. Pours gold with a white head. Taste sweet, banana, light. I thought this was good. I would drink this again.
3.5Hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma is banana, clove, wheat and pepper. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter.
3.3Can from Total Wine. Filled 3 months ago. Just a bit too sugary to really capture the prize here. Flavours of banana popsicles spiked with clove laced booze. Needs more work. A great hefe invites another round of the same; the sweetness here prevents that from happening. Lacks balance. Ok but the fact that it’s in the top 50 of the style proves Florida always gets the vote wrong.
2.5[12oz bottle from Jerry's Foods, Sanibel, FL.] A pale amber pour with a very slight haze, medium carbonation and a fast fading white head; stale grainy aroma; grainy body with some sweet banana esters and the faintest whiff of cloves; then a dry finish with a chemical aftertaste. A pale imitation of a Hefeweizen.
3.7Nice bandanna nutty clove aromas and flavors. Full flavored but easy drinking hefe. Solid.
3.5On tap at the brewery. Pours a hazy golden yellow orange with a thick white head. Aroma of clove, coriander, spices, bready malt, citrus, bubblegum. Flavor of clove, bubblegum, spices, bready malt. Standard Hefeweizen, decent.

3.3It's a sweet hefe. A little too sweet, but not too overpowering. Really good on tap.
1.8Cloudy yellow with a horse blanket toast aroma. Sweet wheat flavor is overpowered by a funky bitterness. Not a typical Hefe.
3.1Gezapft im Beer & Burger Joint in Miami.Trübes Gelb, wenig Schaum. Aroma: Malz, Getreide, Frucht (Orange, Pfirsich). Geschmack: Erde, Zitrone, Hefe.
3.1Hazy golden pour, smells very wheaty and a dry intensity, strong aroma. Taste is strongly wheaty, a little spice and yeast. A bit on the intense side for a hefe, but drinkable.
3.4Pours hazy golden with a thin white head. Aroma of banana, cloves and cinnamon. Intense taste of nutmeg and cloves. Light mouthfeel. Palate is dominated by cloves, dark woody taste on the back of the tongue. Good hefe.
3.3Draft. Hazy orange body, big white head. The Erika is extremely fruity and the taste is pure oranges.
4.1Clear golden pour with a touch of amber. World class head volume, lacing and retention. Quite impressive for the style.
Very good nose that has a slightly sweet base with a whiff of orange. Yeast also presents in a mild fashion underneath. Light lemon notes and a touch of wheat chaff.
Light body that is quite smooth with a touch of slick texture. Carbonation / body balance is quite good and approaches world class. The middle effervesces nicely delivering a prickly mouthfeel. The finish is finely bubbled and prickly.
The flavor profile is quite outstanding. Flavors present as suggested by the nose. Orange is less pronounced and lemon more so. The base delivers a bit of wheat in cracker rather than biscuit fashion. For the style, clove is light and was absent in the nose. Sweetness is unusually high for the style but balances perfectly and allows the orange notes to emerge. Bitterness is light and is noticed in the finish and its slow fade out. Light clove lingers.
3.9Can. Malty aroma and taste, banana, spicy and yeasty notes, light sour notes, light bitter. Medium body, malty light bitter finish. Easy to drink, very good.
3.9Got in a trade with The-Adjunct-Hippie. 12 ounce bottle into weizen glass, bottled on 4/16/2018. Pours fairly hazy pale golden yellow color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of lemon, orange, peach, pear, melon, red apple, banana, bubblegum, clove, peppercorn, wheat, cracker, white bread, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, citrus/fruity/earthy hops, and moderate pale/wheat malt notes; with solid strength. A bit too yeasty on aromas. Taste of lemon, orange, peach, pear, melon, red apple, banana, bubblegum, clove, peppercorn, wheat, cracker, white bread, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Mild herbal/grassy bitterness, yeast spiciness, and wheat tang on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, orange, peach, pear, melon, red apple, banana, bubblegum, clove, peppercorn, wheat, cracker, white bread, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, citrus/fruity/earthy hops, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; with a nice malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitter/spiciness. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/grainy, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.2%. Overall this is a delicious hopped hefeweizen. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, citrus/fruity/earthy hops, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth and refreshing to drink with the mildly bitter/spicy/drying finish. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. A unique take on the style, with the added American hop notes. Very well balanced between German yeast, citrus/fruity/earthy hops, and pale/wheat malts. A very enjoyable offering, and well made style example otherwise.
3.3Hazy light gold pour. Thin white head. Banana aroma. Taste has hint of banana and some yeast. A little thin. Still refreshing and nice.
3.1Funky Buddha's hefe is a mixed affair. While it has the requisite fresh banana and hints of clove, it lacks the pretty fluffy head and active carbonation, and ultimately it comes off as flat and boring. Nice but could be amazingly NG with some minor tweaks.
3.612 oz. canned 12 Feb 2018. Orange-amber with a thin film of foam. Mild nose of clove, bread, caramel and banana. Flavor is bolder with clove, banana, toasted nut, bread, caramel apple and a bit of lemon. Light-medium mouthfeel with medium-high fizz that gets a bit annoying.
3.3Yummy summery beer. Tastes of citrus and spice, oh how nice. A great beer with a light meal.
4.0Can at the Smithsonian American History Museum in DC. Slightly hazy bright golden orange with a nice white head. Aroma is great, banana bread and clove. Flavor is sweet banana, well balanced, little spice, no bitterness. Light, crisp. Really well done hef.
