3.7Cask at Ginger Man Boston, 3/31/17.
Clear auburn-copper with an off-white head atop showing moderate to moderately low retention.
Fruity in the nose with both ester and hop contributing. Red fruits with just a touch of mild orange that quickly fold in to the lightly honey-accentuated malts. Some bread and more fresh yeast on the finish with a reasonable minerality and no alcohol or flaw.
Some crystal malt character adds tea and spice with light bread and a bit of soft honey helping smooth things over somewhat. Mild but balancing bitterness and tons of fruitiness. Soft, dry, flavorful and drinkable with no flaw or alcohol. Quite nice.
2.2On cask at Churckey, pours a very watery brown with no head. Nose is just OK, some detritus, some soggy bread, black tea, some dried apple. Flavor is a bit of a let down... really just heavy black tea, some malts and bread, but really one note. Finishes watery.

3.7From a cask at the January 2017 ACAF.
Dark clear copper body. Durable bubbly head.
Very appealing aroma dominated by toffee but with some brown bread.
More richness and complexity in the flavor which is also stronger than the aroma suggests. Relatively hoppy finish and aftertaste. Excellent bitter-sweet balance. Very nice.
3.4Handpump @Ma che siete venuti a fà (Rome). Ambrata carica, schiuma bianco sporca molto persistente. Al naso sentori di malti, nocciola, mela, erba tagliata. In bocca è ben equilibrata ma un po’ stantia, forse non freschissima. Corpo leggero, carbonazione soft. Anonima.

3.44.2%abv. Purchased in Hippo Beer, West End. The bitterness is a highlight, just about alright. Really like the colour, too; dark amber, pretty. The palate is not aggressive at all. Aroma could be better though. A very pleasant bitter ale, would definitely try more stuff from Fyne Ales.
