3.44 August 2021. At Dok Brewing Company. Shared with the lovely Anke!
Clear golden, small, frothy, white head. Aroma of apple, pear, old apricot, bread crust, yeast, air freshener, 'toilet block'. Taste has sweetish apple & pear, citrus zest accent, yeasty & bready-malty body. Grassy hoppy finish with grain, yeast, old fruit. Medium body, slick texture, average carbonation. Not bad, refreshing, bit neutral.
3.7Can from the brewery webshop, drink with homemade risotto. Golden with a light haze and a decent lasting head. Bright and slightly malty nose. Very nice mouthfeel though heavier than a usual pils. Powerful and citrus bitterness that leaves behind a bit of grapefruit rind character; nevertheless pretty smooth bitter bite. Nice take on the pils style.
3.8440ml can, online from Trembling Madness, York. Pours light hazed mid gold with a tight white cap. Aroma: malty, grains, bread, herbal. Taste: light to moderate sweet & bitter, dry, bready, straw, grassy, light herbal. Light to medium body with tight carbonation.

4.0Can at home in Hackney - picked up from HOTM. Pours lightly hazed honey-gold with a creamy, white topping. Moderately sweet with a lovely, rich and natural bready-biscuity character, some restrained grassy bitterness, leafy hops, sun-kissed grains. Light bodied with massaging carbonation. More bready malts in the finish, husk bitterness, some grass, straw, a hint of orange rind. Delicious beer.
4.1Can from the brewery. It pours clear deep golden with a creamy white head. Incredible aroma of fresh grass and bread. Bitter hoppy and malty flavor. Great stuff! If this was the standard of all Pilsner types I would welcome year of the lager!
2.9Can 440ml (KCM Palokka)
Dark golden colour, medium-sized steady white head and lace. Quite fruity nose for Kellerbier. Light-bodied. Malty, a bit sweetish fruity flavour (even apple), late light spicey bitterness. Not really up to its score here (3.59).
2.744 cl can @ home, BBE 20.07.2021. Aroma is malty with some mild hops. Flavour has malty notes, odd menthol-y hops. Also messy yeasty vibes. Finishes with grass and herbs. Not my thing, too much herbs in the hop profile. Rated on 2021-03-17.
2.90.44 l can from K-Citymarket Ruoholahti, Helsinki. Amber, cloudy, small decent head. Strangely, I taste some apple. Ending is not crisp, but there are some hops too.

4.2Can picked up from Ganstaller, Webshop. Had this Friday 19th February 2021 cooking a homemade Tomato Relish and Persian Spiced Chicken Skewers with a Sweet Tomato Yoghurt (this is where the relish comes in) from The Modern Pantry Cookbook listening to Steve Lamaq on 6 Music. Pours deep gold, slight haze, big white head, light spiciness, full flavoured, soft moutheel. Very nice, very pleasant beer, however I think that the Zoigl is just about my favourite of the two.
Update July 2021. I have had this repeatedly since this rating and like many of the other Ganstaller beers this is an ever-present in the house, I love this, I love the crispness, the hops, however I do realise that I am becoming more and more fond of Pilsners, this is a worthy 4.2 beer.

Pours a cloudy pale orange colour with a huge thick foamy white head. Fresh aromas of grains, hay, straw, bread and faint herbal notes. Taste has added citrus and floral notes with a hoppy grassy bitterness on the finish. Light to medium body, fairly low carbonation and a very smooth mouthfeel. Nice fresh modern take on a Kellerbier/Pils.

3.7Can from HoTM. It pours hazy bright gold with a thick, pillowy white head. The aroma is fresh, grassy, floral, orange blossom, doughy hay, cereal and a hint of spice. The taste is dry, nice assertive hit of bitterness, green, grassy, slightly herbal, straw, hay, floral, peppery spice, cereal and a touch of waxy citrus peel with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate, prickly carbonation. All comes together well. Nice level of hoppage.
3.7Ganstaller 02 kellerpils 5.1% 440ml can BB Feb 2021 consumed Oct 2020. Chuffed this came to the UK. Hazy orange with small foamy off-white head that leaves rows of thin lacing. Aroma is muted, sort of estery apple some hop oils and faint cereals. Quite apple-like. Body is rounded and carbonation is nicely restrained. Taste has a powdery, minerally vibe, like brick dust ... in a good way, the nice bitter noble hops are great - drying, bitter and moreish, lingering. The background malt is just supporting, semisweet against the dusty minerally hops. The faintest gummy sweets fruitiness. Perfect level of bitterness - assertive but still balanced. Very good lager. (7-3-8-4-15=3.7)
3.6Fat. Klar guldfärgad med ett vitt skum. Dofter och smaker av vitt bröd, malt, citrus och örter. Frisk och fräsch. Lätt beska i avslutningen. Mycket snyggt.
4.2yellow golden, nice small creamy foam, nice carbonation, touch of breadyness, bitter, slight peppery alcoholic, spicy aroma of herbs and hops, sharp condimental, very smooth and drinkable with a bitter dry aftertaste like a prototype Pils
3.9Can from Gänstaller webshop. Herbal and bready malty smell. Light smell. Crisp. Similar taste. Clean. Very drinkable.
3.7Can. Aroma- nice balance between herbal hoppiness and grainy, a bit sweet notes from Pilzen malt. Golden, a bit hazy, with a low head. Taste- mega, with noticeable maltiness, but it's not dull or tiring. Subtle sweetness, in general feels like a fresh beer. Medium-low, short lasting bitterness. Medium-low bodied, with a medium-low carbonation. It's very different compared to the typical Pils, but I like it a lot.
3.9500ml can and 5000ml party keg. Crisp, smooth malty and slightly grainy with some grassy hops, sweetish cellar notes, hay, floral farmyardy notes. Rustic and well balanced kellerpils. Super quaffable and tasty.
3.4Halmgul vätska med vitt tjockt skum. Gräsig brödig arom. Gräset återkommer i smaken som möter en stram och neutral beska. Hyfsat torr i avslutet.
3.8tap at Brudermühle Bamberg. Slightly hazy golden yellow, creamy white head. Lovely hoppy nose with bold resiny-herbal notes. Light and elegant malty base, lots of resiny and citrusy hops, shy herbal hints. Smooth on the palate. A delight.
