3.4 Bottle, 330 ml from Pivoteka, Zagreb. Hazy dark orange, no head. Smoke in aroma, malty, some fruity notes, low carbonation. Light to medium bodied.

3.9 Bottle, courtesy of SinH4. Pours hazy dark amber with a big head and a beautiful retention. Aroma is peat, smoked malt, sausage, pig. Body is medium, strongly carbonated, ham, bacon, smoke. Too much carbonation, otherwise near perfect. Much lighter than the Schlenkerlas without compromising much on taste. Very good!
3.8 Bottle. Cloudy amber colour. Huge ivory-coloured head. Stays. Aroma: intense smoke, cheese, caramel. Medium body. Relatively dry taste. Fat smokiness. Caramel malts. Light spicy bitterness on ending. Good.
4.4 @ BXLfest 2017. Orangé, col blanc. Arôme est big/bold bbq style sur d'excellent effets fumés, malt en rétro. Palais est généreux et abondamment fumé, léger sur le côté caramel, fini noble avec une pointe d'amertume, malt tirant sur le pils et pâle avec ajout de malt fumé voire Munich. Petite amertume noble balance le tout sur la fin.

3.8 *Bottle from Rudat. Deep roasted nose with lots of malt. Dry woody, malty and smoke. Long deep smoky mainpart, round malty with roast, great depth.
3.9 Proefglas op BXLBeerFest. U: Helder oranje-amber met bijna geen witte schuimkraag. G: Zeer veel gerookte mout, leder en licht fruitig. S: Zeer gerookt met enkele zoete prikken. Bacon, leder, beetje perzik en karamel. M: Doordrinker met medium carbonatie.
3.3 BXLBeerfest. Pours amber. Aroma is smoke, birch, some grainy notes, malt. Flavor is sweet and bitter, smoke, malt, birch. Overall: ok smoked, but I like the ones with hammy/sausage smoke (a’ la schlenkerla).
3.7 Van ’t vat. Amberrood bier met weinig wit schuim. Geur: rook, mout, grill chips (boni), ietwat leder. Smaak: licht zoet, rook, karamel. Eerder dunne body maar ietwat romig. Matige koolzuurprikkel. Afdronk: licht bitter, gerookt.

3.6 Bold copper colour. Very bubbly head. Smells like maple-smoked meat. Taste is smoke, malt, and sausage. Tasty.
3.3 Tap at BXL festival. Clear darker golden to copper with short lasting off white head. Massive smoked meats, caramel, light herbs, sausage and ham, some herbs. Medium sweet with smoked bitter finish. Over medium bodied. Too smoked for me.
3.5 Bottle. Maybe it’s me but smoked beers taste the same to me. Now, there’s a little difference but much. I still like them though.
2.8 Bottle. An almost flat unclear orange-brown colored beer with a few off-white bubbles on top. Smoked aroma with ham, nuts, bonfire and caramel. Bread crust as well. It’s medium bodied and soft on the palate, semi sweet, with a very soft bitterness. Close to no carbonation. Smoked ham, caramel, bread and some bonfire in the flavor. Even some generic fruityness. Long fruity and smoked finish. Wonder how this would be with carbonation. 170816
4.1 Aroma is wood smoke and sweet dark fruit. The flavor is smoked malts, mild BBQ, fruit/dark fruit, and a sweet/slightly dry finish.
3.5 Color ámbar, turbio, con capa de espuma de un blanco amarronado de tres dedos de grosor (buena retención). Carbonatación alta. Textura acuosa y ligeramente efervescente. Aroma a humo, madera, a fruta seca (muy ligera). Sabor maltoso, casi dulce de entrada, a caramelo, terroso. Final donde se va colando el ahumado, que se va haciendo más intenso en regusto. Postgusto ahumado largo. Bien.
3.2 Almost clear amber color with just a bit of beige foam. Aroma has the specific german rauchmalt savory notes with some sweet, sticky syrup notes and dried fruits. Taste is not as intense as expected from the aroma. It’s malty, slightly sweet at first but more earthy and bitter towards the finish with lingering smoked malt notes. Medium body, almost flat. The mouthfeel is the worst part about this beer making it quite difficult to drink.
4.3 33 cl. bottle bb 31 MRT 2017. Big smoked meat and molasses aroma jumps right out. Pour is lightly hazy and has lots of activity that supports a big foamy head. Tastes of smoked meat, bread and a touch of caramel apple. Some toasted walnut that almost becomes chocolate in the aftertaste. Medium body has the desired onslaught of smoke with the solid foundation of malty support required underneath. The only detracting quality of this brew is the high level of fizz that explodes in the mouth at times.
3.1 Bottle - It pours a dissapointing cloudy dark amber with virtually no carbonation and no head, but the aroma is strong and smokey, giving hope of a real great beer... Sadly the taste is uninspring and I was left with the feeling of drinking flat beer and a lasting taste of burnt wood in my mouth, and not an interesting wood at that....

BB 12.10.2017. copper cloudy color, very big off-white / yellowish head. smells earthy, some smoke, caramel, spices, some peat, light ash, very nice smell. medium to full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of ash, earthy, hints of caramel, spices, bit peppery, some grass, bit soapy, very creamy. finishes lightly bitter and dry with notes of earth, spices and caramel. very nice one, lovely balance, very smooth and easy to drink. great stuff.
3.3 Botella 33 cl en Cimmeria 16..06.. 2017. (r16). Color ámbar tostado turbio con poca espuma blanca. Sabores dominantes ahumados algo tostados y dulces. Ligeros caramelos y tofes. Cuerpo ligero a medio algo espumoso y fino. Toques ahumados. Buena.
3.9 Bronze with light haze and big foamy head. Quite a strong oak wood and smoke aroma. Carbonated heavily. Smokey and sticky mouthfeel. Long smokey aftertaste. Really nice smoked bier even if it seems a little more watery than the Schlenkerla marzen. Tasty and enjoyable.
3.6 Thanks Matija (Trolleo)! Hazy dark amber, tiny head. Intensive pancetta aroma. Mild sweetish smoked ham taste. Simple but nice, exactly as it should be.
3.7 Pours dark orange, small bubbly head, low retention. Nose: smoked cheese, dried tree bark, pastrami, sweet malt, faint orchard fruit. The taste is cleaner, dialing down the smokey notes. Malty, grainy front, with some dried apple peel and soft smoked apricot. Some rather soft bacon-like smokiness shows up, a lot more earthy spiciness and some spicy hop. Still, the taste lacks intensity. Aftertaste is pretty simple, with a lagery zestiness and some smoked spicy grain. Light body, surprisingly low carbonation. A light beer that’s not light on the smokiness. So tread lightly!
3.5 Clear amber with little white head. Aroma is some smoked malt, fruits (orange, mango) sweet sugar. Taste is sweet fruity malty with slight saltyness and average bitterness. Full bodied, creamy on the tongue. Nice.
3.6 Coear, no head. Aroma: caramel, cane sugar, smoke. Medium body, heavy sweetness, low bitterness. Flavour: lots of smoke againts malty sweetness.
3.8 Io l’ho trovata davvero strepitosa, dove al naso emerge la parte legnosa affumicata, mentre in bocca ha un equilibrio e una delicatezza fantastiche. Ci vorrebbe un fusto!!!!
