3.5Fles 50cl in Speyer. Licht bitter, lichte caramelsmaak. Vlakkig maar niet verkeerd. (8-2010).
4.0Mørke malte og en fin tysk humle. Det var fint med den søde eftersmag, god tysk øl
2.5(bottle) clear deep amber colour with a frothy beige head. aroma of herbal hops and earth, with some notes of gently roasted malts, caramel and floral hops. flavour is mostly herbal hops and dusty malts, with some notes of bread crusts and a yeasty medium-bitter finish. medium-bodied with average carbonation.
2.8Sampled from 0.5 l bottle from local 'REWE', best before July 2018. Clear, dark brownish red with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, slightly grassy-spicy aroma of nuts, caramel, some raisins and a touch of wet straw. Moderately sweet, malty, slightly roasty, a bit grassy-spicy taste of caramel, nuts, straw and hints of raisins, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly grassy-spicy, a bit roasty and quite dry finish. Almost medium-bodied, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Quite okay. Helau!
3.1Sweet malts dry hops nice tingle touch to it. A Simply done decent alt beer.
2.950 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Trinkgut, Kleve.
Clear dark amber with a big white head. Caramel aroma. Bittersweet taste. Decent alt, maybe not the best choice on a frisky winter evening though. I bet I would appreciate this more on a warm day.
3.3330ml bottle (Sushi place in Dusseldorf Airport, Dusseldorf) (6:4:6:4:13=3.3)
Nice malty aroma, some dark woodiness. Mahogany, very pleasing viscosity, bubbles rise so beautifully, persistent doughy head. Rich bready taste, lovely level of roast. some barky dryness, really drinkable alt, a good one from a bottle.
2.8Aroma of caramel with some toasty, minimal honey and bready notes. Pale brown in the glass with a medium head. Taste is semi dry with bread, some mineral note, grainy and little bit nutty. Highly carbonated. Average.
2.8Being brought up on Altbier it's hard to be objective. Pro: It's an Alt! Con: does not equal the outstanding top-class Altbier from the house breweries in the old city of Düsseldorf, so I rate this a medium-range. Not bad, not special.
2.9Bottle 0,5ltr: Clear brown colored brew with slightly dry bitter taste with some hints of caramel.
2.8Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours hazy chestnut brown with a small lasting off-white head. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel, some roasting and nut. Quite heavy seeetness, light roasted bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Finish is roasted and just a touch sour.
2.950cl bottle from Durstbunker.
Thick creamy white head. Clear amber pour. An average alt bier.
3.2Draft. Copper coloured. Nice head. Aroma is subdued. Malts and biscuit. Taste of malts, nuts, biscuit and hops. Bitter finish. Low carbonation. A little bit watery but somehow also smooth and creamy. Decent Alt.
3.00,5 l Flasche. Aroma: Zunächst frisch und fruchtig (Feige), dann deutlich Röstmalz. Erscheinung: Dunkelbraunes Bier, cremeweißer, grobporiger, Schaum, gute Gardine. Geschmack: Röstaromen, süßlich, leicht fruchtig. Nachgeschmack: Zunge zieht sich leicht zusammen, leichte Bitterkeit kommt, Röstaromen bleiben. Gesamt: Gefällt.
3.4Bottle at home, 19/08/16. Bought from Beers of Europe. Sweet yeasty aroma. Dark chestnut. Bubbly. Frothy beige head. Soft bodied. Carbonation. Bitter. Then sourness, which follows through in to a long finish. A sweet aftertaste on the tongue. Got my saliva glands going.
3.0Clear dark ruby, small off-white lacing foam. Light smokey aroma and taste, light bitter aftertaste. (Velp 201604)
2.7Medium bodied
Malt, bitter and sweet
No big accent, but a good Alt

2.8Nettes, unspektakuläres Alt. Sehr süffig, leider für ein Alt wenig herb. Kein nachhaltiger Abgang.
3.2Aroma: herbs and roasted malts.
Appearance: clear amber color and nice beige head.
Taste: medium herbal bitterness, herbs, roasted malts, slightly astringent, quite dry.
Palate: medium body and high carbonation, empty finish.
Overall: Decent alt, refreshing.
3.1From the bottle, off white head and hazelnut Brown color. Nose is rosted malt and typical i call it muddy alt smell. Taste is metallic bitter rosted malts and some hazelnut Aroma some residual sweetness there too. Aftertaste is good clean grassy hops long finish. Good commercial beer of it’ style...
2.7Bottle from McTapps. Crisp brown with a medium head. Aroma is dry malt. Flavour is toasted caramel and wood, a little nut.
2.5Tap. Frothy off-white diminishing head. Reddish dark amber. Soft aroma, toasted malt and somehow metalic. Taste is toasted malt swetness, salty with acid tinge. Ligth body, watery and low carbonation. Acidic aftertaste.
3.0Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours chestnut brown with off white head. Pretty smooth to start then feels thin, hint of caramel but not much going on. Average.
3.0The old Gatzweiler Altbier renamed, a lesser known example of its style with rather thin and unstable, off-white head and dark bronze colour, cristal clear. Toasty and caramelly taste, bit woody, very nutty, typical ’cooked’ effect from pasteurisation, thin and even a bit watery mouthfeel, metallic, mild hop bitterness in the finish. I like Altbiers but this was one of the lesser ones I’ve tasted so far.
3.0Dark red-brown clear, slight foamy head. Light maltiness, smooth with hint of chocolate malt. Actually better than I was expecting. Malty and acidic aroma.
