2.3Bottle from Deconinck, Vichte - BE. Color: hazy dark golden blond beer with no carbonation and small white foam. Smell: sweet malt and hops. Yeast notes. Alcohol. Resin. Taste: medium palate with hoppy and high malt alcohol taste. High resin and alcohol taste. Bad balance. Not really drinkable. It seems to be barrel aged... Astringent from alcohol. Taste: alcohol taste. Astringent from alcohol. Resin. Very bad experience...
3.8Troebel oranjekleurig bier. Fruitig aroma van sinas, perzik, mango. Fruitige, licht zoete smaak zelfs. Slechts een hele slappe, zeer licht bittere, afdronk. Het is een lekker bier maar ZEKER geen double ipa zoals het etiket vermeld. Had hier meer van verwacht..
3.4bottle @ Party Source / Bellevue KY --- Aroma of malt and light hops. Bright cloudy medium amber color, sudsy white head that has volume issues, splotches of lace. Taste is malt that gives way to strong European hops, moving through a swallow that adds biscuit and light citrus. The finish begins with hop domination, but slowly and surely the malt re-activates. giving the end a nice balance. Pretty good stuff.
1.533 cl fles blind geproefd met een vriend. Amberkleurig bier met dunne witte schuimkraag. Geur: Onaangenaam, kazig, zurig – zoetig. En daaronder staat vermeld : Double IPA, … jongens, jongens, NO WAY! Als het zo was, dan reste er toch nog iets van bitterheid!
3.9Cloudy amber body, creamy white head. Heavy aroma on amber malts, cookies, oatmeal, overripe peaches, grapefruit. Quite heavy carbonation, that could be improved upon. I love the start, ending is a bit dimmed. (33cl bottle from Dranken Pauwels)
2.6Bottle. Hazy light brown with foamy white head and floaters. Smells a little off, sweet and astringent. Flavor isn’t great either. Might be old.
1.633cl bottle. Pale golden colour with yeasts sediments floating. Yeast aroma, hints of cascade. Ways too carbonated, the fluid gush in the outside.
3.7Een zeer bittere IPA, een goede kleur, aroma van lychee en pompelmoes, vandaar de iets bitterigheid in de na-smaak.
3.033 cl. looks like bb Aug 2016. The slow gusher pours a cloudy dark brown with a sticky foam. Nose is brown sugar, toffee, raisin and a touch of cocoa. Tastes of toffee, chocolate, evergreen resin and wood. Long finish has a hint of oak. Overall not much of an IPA and kind of a muddle of flavors, but not awful. Medium bodied with medium carbonation.
3.9Troebel lichtbruin bier met schuim. Smaak is krachtig hoppig bitter en licht zoet, citrus en ananas. Smaak blijft lang hangen.
3.7Bottle at Monterey, Berlin. Clear amber - bif fluffy white head. Fruity. Grape fruits. Nice medium to high Bitterness. Resin. Grassy. Soapy eastery soapy. Medium sweet malty. Strawberrie. Spicy notes. Nice dry bitter finish.
3.6Bottle at home I was seduced by the bottle for unknown reasons. Hazes orange with big sudsy slightly annoying head. Nose is booted hops light citrus. Tastes of mandarin orange, pine needles, yeast, peach, florals, and bread. Heavy bitterness semi sweet finish. Slightly oily palate.
3.5Bottle. Dark golden brown with tan head(over carbed). Belgian spice and yeast, fruit aromas. Body is too carbonated, flavors are spice, fruit and yeast toned.
3.7Bottle at home. A bit hazy golden beer with an offwhite head. Hoppy, grassy floral pine aroma. Hoppy citrus and grapefruit flavour with some spicy notes.
2.8From a bottle into a glass. The pour is unfiltered dark yellow with a weird yeast taste and spicy hop taste.
2.9Sehr stark karbonisierter Antrunk mit voluminösen dunklen Hopfennoten. Blumig, etwas hefig, steigende Herbe mit nussigen Noten. Rund, minimal alkoholisch. 6/11/9/9/9/9
3.3Bottle at BGH with Andrew and Ellen. Pours a hazy golden orange with thick white lacing. Aroma is bright, spicy and strange yeast. Mouthfeel is bright and carbonated with notes of fresh floral yeast, spice and herbal character.
3.3Bottle @home. Pours yellow/orange with a white creamy, adhesive head. Aroma is fruity, bit hoppy. Taste is also fruity, bit bitterness, dry. Dry and fruity finish.
3.2March 31, 2015. Bottle at home.
Cloudy dark orange with a medium sized white head. Aroma is some higher alcohol notes. sweet ripe pineapple, grass and herbal. Taste is sweet malty and fruity, alcohol, light to medium bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation.
3.0London 2014 - September 6th, with harrisoni & Theydon_Bois - 330ml bottle c/o harrisoni and PhilL. Sorry, garbled voice notes here - seems it was mostly clear gold, average off-white diminishing head; aroma and taste - alcohol, overly sweet fruity malt, some grassy bitterness, but an odd vegetal thing working too - a little jangly overall. Reasonably thick, almost syrupy mouthfeel, average bottle carb, medium-quick boozy generically bitter finish - like an oddly fruity malt likka.

3.5Bottle, nice beer, but isn’t what I’d call an IPA, the Belgium yeast flavour is to strong and hides what hoppy dryness there might be lurking behind the scenes. That said a very good beer
3.811.2oz shorty grenade bottle. Yeasty thick orange body. Creamy. respectably steady white head. Kind of a noble hop aroma, but a real underlying citrus depth in the hop character. The lack of filtration lends a creamy mouthfeel which really benefits this style. Maybe the most enjoyable Belgian IPA I’ve had in some time, I’d go back for more of this. No hairspray, drinkable.
3.2Bottle at home in London - sourced from one of the online shops. Pours perfectly clear gold with a lively, frothy white head. Not the most inviting of aromas as far as DIPAs go - there’s some grass, leaves, mild yeast and drying berries. The flavor is moderately sweet and there’s a big, boozy punch in the throat, coupled with notes of ripe apples, orange, wood, grass, pear and melon. Full bodied with high carbonation. Warm to hot on the finish with bready, lightly toasted malts, grape, more berries, ripe orange and other citrus, mild bitter grass, some esters, oily pine. A bit messy. Drinkable.
3.5a slightly orange colour, a long lasting head is big and blond. The aroma is strongly fruitful, slightly tropical, citrusfruits, sweet marshmellows and some spices. Taste has fruits, some marshmellows and spices, surprisingly, some slightly alcohol in the end, but not after the couple of sips. Bitterness in the end but that’s not very strong. Medium+ bodied, strong carbonation, not heavy at all. Old coast DIPA with belgian fruits, a stronger character would be better.
