a bit too fruity for me. very soft, something for strarters
Ma version est la Goliath Blonde, appellation un peu plus classique que Géant Gouyasse... Belle versée blonde translucide, jaune paille, avec une grosse mousse blanche épaisse. Nez légèrement épicé, sur les herbes et les céréales blondes, avec de subtiles notes de légumes et de fleurs. Un peu de bois, un peu de cuir, du citron vert, du sucre candi, une touche de caramel, un peu de prune, de raisin, de poire et de pomme... Un bon nez pour une blonde avec un bel équilibre, e tout avec simplicité. La carbonatation est soutenue et titille bien les papilles, l’alcool est sobre avec ses 6% qui travaillent sur le fond et non de manière frontale, les levures sont légèrement sèches, la texture est ronde avec une petite mâche en fin de gorgée pas bégueule et une petite amertume de circonstance qui se marie bien avec la carbo. Pas trop de sucres résiduels (c’est une blonde hein !) et très honnêtement c’est une bonne chose car cette bière est une bonne bière de soif élaborée qui aurait été gâchée par trop de douceur. Le final est assez court malheureusement, on reste un peu sur notre faim (soif), mais ce n’est peu être pas le propos de ce type de bière de nous offrir une longueur infinie. Classique et très buvable. Bouteille 33cl, Boissons du Monde, Saint-Egrève.
Bottle from Beergium. As "Goliath Blonde/Blond". Aroma is malt, spicy peppery yeast, fruity notes, citrus, coriander. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet and light bitter. Body is medium. Fairly typical but easy going Belgian Blond, not bad.

Really nice blond beer, with a small fuzzy/foamy white head. The aroma is mostly malty, with some floral notes. Taste is malty, but not too heavy. Aftertaste got the floral notes more.

Hazy yellow with a white head. Yeasty fruity aroma. Sweet taste. A decent Belgian blonde ale.
Shared from bottle at Maakun’s. Slightly unclear pale straw with white head. Lime, lemon, malts, coriander, spices, almond. Grassy and sugary. Thin sheet of cardboard. Medium sweet and light bitter. About medium body.

Unclear, golden colored. Aroma is of brewing sugar, some fruity notes, spicy Belgian yeast. Taste is medium sweet malt and brewing sugar, spicy Belgian yeast, some fruity apple, medium bitterness, dryish finish. Medium bodied, average carbonation, oily.
Bottle at deanso’s birthday party. Slight gusher. Bit hazy light golden with big white head. Grassy, some green vegetables, pils malts, light yeast, paper. Light sweet and under medium bitter. Medium bodied with lots of pillowy carbonation.

Bière avec pas mal de dépôt , la mousse ne tiens pas beaucoup Bonne amertume et bonne longueur en bouche pour un bière à 6% mais manque vraiment de nez

Bottle as Goliath. Color clear yellow with huge white head. Aroma corn, grass, malt, yeast. Taste sweet, some fruits, yeast.
Belle mousse blanche sur une bière couleur or. Peu de nez et finalement peu de caractères distinctifs et identifiables pour cette bière néanmoins rafraîchissante. Seule originalité : cette laide appellation de "Gouyasse" provenant certainement du folklore local à Ath (géants).

Scherpe moutgeur met citrustoets.
De smaak is licht zurig en droog.
Mondgevoel is licht met matige koolzuur en droge afdronk.
Dorée, clair, avec un collet epais mais grossier.
Belgian classique et sans grand relief, elle ne se démarque en rien.

Pale blonde colour, almost like a white beer , with a small head that keeps a ring and leaves a great lace. Aroma of pineapple,banana, coriander. Medium to light body, great carbonation. Taste of fruits, bitersweet, cloves. Good.

Blond beer looks a bit like white beer. Grassy hoppy sour.
Probably excellent in summer when you’re thirsty.
Nice gold with a fizzy top, lots of residue. Typical Belgian blond, yeasty, some earth. Short finish. -- second tasting went better. Quite clear pale yellow, between lager and white
Robe blonde, mousse de persistance moyenne, Nez houblonné et levuré sur un léger fond minéral. Bouche fraîche et amère, bulle peu persistante, finale acidulée. Une bière de soif.
Pours cloudy golden with nice large pillowy white head. Peppery aroma, with lightly toasted bread and honey. The taste has the funky belgian yeast expected, along with floral honey, toasted bread and a light grassy hop bitterness. Solid beer.

Pale blonde beer, slight haze, pours a rather big creamy white head.
Nose somewhat subdued - white pepper & clove phenolics, light grainy bready malt, some light ripe pear-like fruit esters.
Medium bodied, lively carbonation.
Flavour is bready, slightly spicy/peppery, notes of pear, grainy/husky cereals, reasonable bitterness.
Reasonable effort.
33cl bottle at home, had it as "Goliath blonde". This is a sharp malt and yeast flavoured citrus blonde with a huge white, long lasting collar. The nose has some penetrant zeste or citrus features too. The taste is penetrant and sharp too, with a tiny, yet very unpleasant hint of dishwashing soap. Besides that, the lime and cinnamon flavours are nice enough to make it a decent brew. The ending has a lovely bitter and warming touch.
Amarillenta pálida, ligeramente turbia, y un dedo de espuma. Agradable aroma dulce. Muy agradable también en boca, frutal, citrica. Final muy seco. Muy bebible.
33 cl bottle @ home, Goliath blond. Golden yellow, almost white beer, small white head. Refreshing aroma, grassy with citrus, bit sour. Taste is well balanced between bitter and sweet.
On tap @ Restaurant Barbeau, Sippenaeken. Yellow/strawblonde color, hazy. Dense snow white head, sticking to the glass. Aroma’s: grain, grass. Retronasal: grains, malts, fruity, a bit sweet spices. Flavor is dry and fruity, almost sourish, light sweetness, light spices. Light to medium bodied. Long finish, slightly dry, but hardly any bitterness. Decent enough.
Bottled, 330ml as ’Goliath’ from Beers of Europe, Norfolk. Gold with white head. Quite a flowery, herby start to this, Belgian yeast notes also to the fore with a slight banana hint. A little thinner than expected with a simple finish. It’s okay.
