3.4 How: Draught. Where: MBCC 2018. Appearance: Hazy dark golden colour with a white head. Aroma: Malt, hops, fruit, pine, spices, some gin. Body: Medium body and carbonation. Flavour: Malt, fruit, hops, spices, some citrus, gin.
3.4 500ml bottle. Juniper and gin botanical aroma with notes of grapefruit hop citrus and oak. Pours orange-caramel colored with a large off white head that has excellent retention and some lacing. Starts with strong juniper and gin botanical flavors. Finishes dry with some grapefruit hop citrus and oak flavors before the gin flavors overtake the palate again at the end. Interesting, but a bit too much gin.
3.5 From tap at HOP The Beer Experience 2, Mexico D.F., at 8% ABV. Clear golden color with a white head. Aroma of intense herbal notes, coriander seeds, gin, lemon cest, lemonade - lots of citric notes. Medium body with with a very light sweetness and a medium bitterness. The flavor is lightly hoppy (grapefruit) with lot of fresh herbal notes, coriander, candied orange peel, some soap. Finishes with wood, some vanilla, gin and some hoppy bitterness. Overall a little weird. I like the flavors but I dont like the balance. Aroma: 8 Appearance: 3 Taste: 7 Palate: 4 Overall: 13

3.8 Tap at MBCC 2018. Pours clear golden. Earl grey, spicy, junipers, orange peel, citrus. Medium body.
3.8 (Draught) Pours a cloudy orange body with a medium white head. Aroma of orange, caramel, grass, straw, and herbs. Flavor of orange, lemon, lime, wood, caramel, peach, and nectarine with a dry finish.
2.6 Pours a dark amber from a bottle. Herbal, floral, gin aroma and flavor. One trick pony. Okay beer.
4.2 April 11, 2018: On tap at Alibi Room in Vancouver. A medium amber beer with a bit of white head and an intriguing juniper herbal nose. The juniper note is confirmed on tasting, along with a bit of hop and malt background. Lovely! 4.2 August 2, 2018: Bomber. As noted previously, a delicious IPA. That gin/juniper note is just right for summer refreshment. 4.2
3.7 Gin barrel-aged Imperial IPA. Sampled at the Portland, Oregon brewpub, March 31st, 2018. Re-rating, May 28th, 2022. Now known as “Pom Gin Fizz”. You can really taste the barrel-aging. It’s a bit leathery and bitter on the back of the throat. Gets better as your mouth adjusts to the flavor.
3.2 I don't know this is a really Old Skool IPA that I'm just not digging so much anymore. Maybe it's good by the old standards but for me now, not so much.
3.7 On tap at the Trappist. Aroma is floral gin notes with some light orange, tangerine and tropical fruit notes. Faint oak with some light cracker malt notes and hints of caramel. Pours a hazy, copper orange with a medium sized, thick, white head that recedes steadily to a thin film that lingers. Moderately high amounts of lacing and small legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with some medium light grain notes of cracker and caramel. Moderately strong bitterness with a bit of a grassiness. Moderate gin floral and herbal notes. Some light orange and tangerine notes with light oak. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice gin IPA but the flavor has a bit of an odd, grassy note.
3.9 Nice
3.8 Draft 8 oz pour at The Cave, Kirkland. A thick, milky orange pour. Gin barrel beers are so much fun for me. Very fragrant aroma. Inviting. Flavor is a cool fresh front, floral, obvious gin impact. As much gin there is, the hop profile remains very much intact. Boasting with flavor. A touch boozy, but I can never hate barrel aged beers too much for that. Never had an IPA like this before. So interesting.
4.1 When they're done well Gin barrel IPA's can be - at the very least - totally intriguing. Especially good ones like Pipe Wrench often end up tasting like an unusual but refined cocktail.Pipe Wrench has a barely hazy orange-gold color. Notes of lemon, orange, and grapefruit peels. Tons of tree character - oak, spruce, pine, and juniper. It's the bark and the foliage all in one. Refreshing spiciness and a moderate amount of herbal bitterness. A bit of booze. Like most hoppy things from Gigantic, this doesn't disappoint.
3.8 Poured a nice gold with white head via bomber. Nose is strong gin/junipers. Some citrus, hops and then a ginnish finish. Pretty good.
3.4 Pours orange with a big white Lacey head. Nose is juniper, citrus, wood and light spice. The taste is very citrus heavy with plenof gin notes. The finish is very gin-like with a moderate alcohol burn. Pleasant, but not really something I would choose again.
3.8 Bottled. Pours hazy deep golden with an average lacing off-white head. Aroma of citrus, wood, juniper and other spicy notes. Sweet flavor that ends up being slightly more dry and nice bitter. Medium bodied, oily texture and soft carbonation. An excellent DIPA. 🌟🌟🌟🌟
4.0 Visual: Pours opaque deep coral pink with a large supremely foamy long-lasting head, thick sticky lacing, clusters of active micro streams - Flawless appearance. Nose: floral orange citrusy sweet malt with some tangy curd (lvl-7)-pungency Attack: silky-fine creamy-crisp, airy alcoholic, sweet malt impression Mid-palate: fruity juniper/crème de violet, (lvl-4-sweetness), soft tangy citrus curd, toffee malt Finish: soft dry woody oak, dry gin edginess, stealth low bitter hops Summary: A deeply interesting IPA that absorbs compound flavours from both the gin and wine that were aged in that same barrel (Wine -> Ransom Old Tom Gin -> Gigantic IPA). An IPA at heart with a prominent floral gin component as well as a woody nuance. The finish is slightly alcoholic aggressive. I'd love to try more gin BA beers.
3.7 Bottle. Notes of gin, spruce, like. Big gin burn alcohohol not well hidden.
3.9 On bottle from Vinmonopolet Sandefjord- 2 weeks back. Hazy golden orange Color with good foam. Medium high aroma intensity; distinct gin, citrus, fruitiness and hops. Medium/ full body & complexity . Good bitterness & balance. Very enjoyable
4.7 650ml Bottle. Pours a strong gold with a lot of off white head. Large hoppy aroma with hints of alcohol and floral notes. Full body with amazing floral and hop notes combined together. Subtle bitterness with strong flavours. An excellent IPA.
3.8 On tap at the brewery. Pours a gently hazed orange amber with a medium sized white head. Gin on the nose, sweet and fruity, wood and a touch of citrus, lime, earthy lime peels and zest. Very pretty. Medium bodied, spicy citrus over malt, thick malty sweetness, then a bit of sweet candy sugar over wood. Gin notes are lurking, lime zest, juniper, red wood and earth. Smooth and musky, long wood into the finish, soft wood and yeast, lime and a bit of lemon, sweet and estery. Fun and playful. Gin barrel definitely hangs on the back end, lingering.
3.7 My brother anecdotalised about his mates who were getting old and fat because of too much beer consumption. They switched to G&T. I bet they would love this. The colour is a hazy/cloudy reddish amber with a one finger, muted, frothy light tan head. The aroma is bright tropical fruit, biscuit, juniper and wood. Taste is primarily sour gin/juniper, oak and bitterness. The booze is there, but nowhere as strong as expected for 7.8%.
3.6 From bottle. Pours hazy orange. Grapefruit, juniper, lemon, blood orange, little spice. Really well balanced for a gin beer.
3.4 Sample @ Mikkeller Beer Celebration 2017, Blue Session 20170512. Fruity and citrusy, gin, sweet, medium body, fruity and dry finish.
3.2 Tap at MBCC 2017 Blue session. Poured a crystal clear Lucozade orange amber colour with a round white head. The aroma is lemon rind zesty citrus, woody hop. The flavour is moderate sweet light bitter with a sweet glucose malt, light fruit, woody resin hop bitter, light spice palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. It kinda tastes a little bit like Lucozade too. Not one for me.
3.4 Draught @ Mikkeller Bar. Pours clear golden orange with a smooth head. Aroma of gin, caramel, toffee, fruits and pine. Taste is sweet, malty and caramely with some pine, resin and sticky Notes. Finish is sweet, malty and stuffy with some caramel and pine. Sweet and heavy.
3.7 On tap at mikkeller bar Victoriagade. Klare dunkel goldene Farbe. Geruch ist extrem hopfig, grasig, Pfirsich, leicht holzig. Geschmack ist mild süß malzig, Trauben, holzig, Brett, Vanille. Awesome.
3.2 Tap @ mikkeller bar. Poured golden color with a thin white head. Tropical fruity aroma, pineapples Flavor has tropical fruits, some gin. Quite sweet finish. Fruity, some hops, cactus I think. Not for me.
3.9 Tap @ Mikkeller bar. Clear copper with no head. Strange fruity nose that is reminiscent of gin. Cucumber, juniper. Juniper, other red berries, some herbal hops. Fresh and light for an IIPA. A very pleasant and ginny experience.
