4.4Very good scotch ale. Heavy and malty, nice raisin taste, hint of banana
3.2A violent gusher! Pours a hazy, deep copper body with a tan head. Strong aroma of caramel, fermented fruits, and hints of vinegar. Strong flavour of fermented fruits, caramel, and malt. Moderate sweet taste, light sourness, and a very light bitterness. Medium body, moderate carbonation. An ok beer, despite the obvious infection. [br]

3.7Bottle. Brown pour with dissapating beige head. Nicely carnonated. Bubbly and light malt. Pleasant surprise.
3.7Borostyán színű italunk az egyediség, külön megmunkáltság érzetét keltő, díszes papírcsomagolásban várta a felnyitás pillanatát, amelyet természetesen úgy időzítettem, hogy az karácsonyra essen. Puha, belgásan egybefüggő, krémes habpaplanon terülnek el a cukorkás illatmezők, amelyek muffintésztás, mazsolás, kandírozott gyümölcsös hangulatokat permeteznek, így jelölik ki az utat a barnakenyeres, édeskésen malátás, pirított magvas, kandiscukros, hamisítatlan belga karakter megtestesülése számára. Szerkezete egyébként sima, egészen apró szemű, szinte krémesen egybefüggő hálóból szőtt, kortyai megfelelő súlyúak, parfümösek, aszalványosak, kifogástalan kísérői az ünnepi estének.
3.8F: thin, tan, not long lasting.
C: brown, hazy, opaque.
A: malty, fruity, caramel, toffee, bit nutty, dried fruits, dark berries.
T: malty, caramel, toffee, red + dark fruits, bit herbal, yeasty, bit buttery, dry on the palate, medium to full body and medium to high carbonation, nice balanced, good one, 0,5 dcl sample from big 1,5l bottle @ second day ZBF 2018.
3.7Owl Farm, Brooklyn tap: medium amber color with a white head. Aroma is sort of yeasty, very malty, candy sugar. Taste is sort of sweet. Sugary finish, but not cloying sweet. Not too heavy body either. Good.
3.7Bottle. Dark chestnut brown with a medium sized tan head with good retention and regeneration. Pleasant aroma with brown bread, light wood, light dry green plants, light flowers and honey. The flavour has wood, brown bread, brown sugar and light dry green plants. Medium but full body, medium sweet and bitter. Bready finish with mild sweetness. Good malty brew with the alcohol well hidden.
3.8Bottle from Dranken Geers, Oostakker; shared with Anke & Pieter. Pours hazy dark brown with a foamy, diminishing, beige head. The aroma contains caramel & candi sugar, cinnamon, malt & nuts, raisin & candied fruits, hops, yeast, some ripe banana and liquor. It tastes medium malty & caramel-like sweet and light spicy bitter; hoppy & nutty finish and warming alcohol. Full body, slick texture, fizzy to lively carbonation (a bit too much). Very enjoyable late in the evening.
4.0A complex beer. Not one to just open villy-nilly. No, this is a sit down beer. The aroma wasn't all that interesting, but on first taste ,it is belgium in spades. A complex malt profile that sits somewhere between natural and "what on Earth is this?!?" Something almost akin to the aroma of oil paints hits your nose when you drink this, and then the velvety textures makes you smile and think "this is too good for a simple Norwegian". There's plum or fig, some sort of fruit preserve, perhaps like a Christmas pudding, which seems apt, as this is a winter warmer of sorts. Really enjoyed this a lot, it kept me focused on the task ahead so to speak.
3.9Totally winter mate. Like this baby smells and tastes like an elf's loins. Lovely.
3.6Deep brown in colour cream white head . Malty caramel aroma with a spicy sweet taste
Me encanta. Repetira.
2.9Draft @ Thirsty Monk - It’s a Belgian scotch ale. It tastes like beef jerky. I thought it would probably be a little weird and it is.
4.4Christmas spice cookies, apples, faint licorice aroma. Orange brown tan head. Big cookie malts, cinnamon, sweet malts at first. Not thick and syruppy but thinner than I expected. Long malty finish. The 8% booze is well hidden. Delicious malty christmas cookie present.
4.20.75l bottle thanks to Cristobal37. Slightly hazy dark orange/brown body with a beige head. Aroma of dark sugar syrup, apple pie, licourice and nutmeg. Taste is pretty much like the aroma. Nice winter ale, I like it.
4.1Reddish brown colour, medium sized creamy beige-ish head; aroma and taste of apple pie, licorice and anise notes , butterscotch, candied sugar and some Christmas spices; great beer, many thanks, Chris!
3.4Tap at Sovereign. Dark amber pour with a clingy head. Fig, hazelnut, a little ashy, and really dry on the tongue late.
3.3Big bottle wrapped in paper kindly shared by Finn. Cloudy dark reddish body, beige head, spotty lacing. Dried fruity aroma, fruit compote impression. Taste of brittle caramel and dried fruits, plums and prunes. Lingering sweet fruity ending. Slow sipper, too sweet in larger amounts. (Rating session with TheCellarer, Finn and Snegurochka, Tårnrommet, Tromsø 14.11.2017).
3.3Flaske 750ml fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø - Langnes. Delt med Rune, Snegurochka & TheCellarer på Tårnrommet 14 Aug 17. Veldig hissig! Amber. Lavt skum. Plommearoma. Mye kullsyre. Smaken plommer. Langvarig. Kullsyra ødelegger mye. På grensa til tungdrikkelig.
3.4Bottled. Pours slightly hazy deep brown with an average off-white head. Aroma of toasted caramel, yeast, dark fruits and spices. Sweet taste that ends up being more dry and slightly bitter. Medium bodied, oily texture ad average carbonation. A nice Scotch. 🌟🌟🌟🌟
3.8Pours a deep ruby/amber with a thick tan head...nice lacing and retention. Aroma has some roasty caramel, light peat and earthy/fruity notes. Flavor follows suit...a bit more fark fruit and accentuated musty earthiness. Mouthfeel is light/medium and super silky with a dry peaty/roasty finish.
4.0Bottle. Pours brown with a small cream head. Really nice taste and aroma, yummie.
3.7Alterungsnarben ziehen sich durchs AmberCellarMuffelLand. Stumpf entkaramelisiert & würzhopfverspicet. Winter Spass für Zombies 💀!!! 0,1 beim ZYTHOS 2017.
3.4On tap @Ma che siete venuti a fà (Rome). Rosso/bruna, intensa, lievemente torbida, schiuma bianco sporca media. In bocca è dolce all'attacco con finale amaro medio. Corpo medio-alto, carbonazione medio-leggera. Lievemente ossidata e con poco spunto.
3.5Tap at Luppolo Station, Rome-Italy. Chestnut skin pour, beige foam with retention. Nose is macerated cherries, Scotch is there. Mouth: it sips easy, vintage roast notes, mild caramel.
3.7On Tap @ Irreale, Madrid, Spain.
