3.5From notes. Had as “Lazy Dog IPA” on draft at the Lazy Dog Bar in Valencia on October 10. The pour is a lighter golden orange color with a thick head of white that falls down slowly, leaving a decently soapy lace. The aroma is pretty decent. There is a lot of tropical fruit with a growing bitterness from the hop resin on the back end. It’s balanced, and not overbearing in either direction. I like it. The flavor is much of the same. The tropical fruitiness holds point and lets the pine resin move in slowly with a light citrus bitterness that also comes in. The mouth feel is light and clean with a decently bright carbonation and a lingeringly bitter finish. I like this one the best of the beers they have here on draft. Not bad. 7 4 6 4 14
3.4(Tap) clear, bright orange amber colour with a small white head; aroma of citrus; balanced flavour with a long, light bitter finish
3.4Pale gold, slightly hazy pour with a decent white head. Citrus, pine, a bit of passionfruit and caramel on the nose. Taste is sweetish, citrus, decent bitterness, but not overly interesting
3.0Testing beer reviews to appear on all reviews page. It is not appearing
3.2Pours a lightly hazed gold. Aroma is soggy malt and lemon lime. Falvor is sweetish acidic, soem c-hops, pine, meh.
3.7IPA is not my preferred style, but I found this one to be good, though not exceptional. The aroma was floral and herb like, but not too over powering. It smells IPA but not in a way that would cause one to reject it on that IPA smell. It’s golden color but not quite clear though not exactly hazy. It’s got the trademark bitterness but isn’t overwhelming the palate.
3.7Can at MC Zurich. Pours hazy amber. Aroma is strong tropical fruit, mango, pineapple, passion fruit, light onion. Body is strong, sweet and quite bitter, but there is not much residual sweetness left. Lively carbonation, but not many flavours, except onion and tropical fruit. Sweet fruity palate. Quite a letdown after this delicious nose!
3.7From a 16 oz can from my brother Rick. Pours gold with a white head. Nose iof citrus and tropical fruit. Medium body. Flavor is citrus and fruit and the finish is bitter. Solid IPA.
3.4This is a 2017 backlog entry. I may add more details on this beer at a future time.
3.1Can. Nearly clear. Sweet at first. Fruity but not juicy. Nice safe ipa. Thx tim
4.0Can pour. Appearance is hazy gold with nice sparkle, 2-finger width foamy white head with good retention and nice leggy lacing. Aroma is tons of tropical fruit and citrus, light pine and grapefruit. Taste is sweet fruits and citrus as in aroma with late piney and grapefruit bitterness. Palate is medium bodied with thick texture, average carbonation and mix of sweet and bitter as with the taste. Overall, this is a real thirst quencher with nice attributes all around.
3.5Golden color. Grassy-piney hop aroma. Dry citrus-piney hop dominated flavor, light bodied and highly carbonated.
Notes: Can while delayed in LAX, Feb ’17
3.6Tap at Golden Road. Big citrusy and grassy nose. Deep gold straw color, sticky lacing. Sharp grapefruit initial flavor, moderate bitterness in mid palate. Bittering intensifies throughout. Medium body, and fairly well balanced. Pretty West Coasty, malty and citrusy. Solid.
3.5W aromacie przede wszystkim aromaty żywiczne oraz cytrusy. W smaku sporo grejpfruta i nieco żywicy, goryczka średnia, bardzo przyjemna. Piwo ogólnie przyjemne i pijalne. Bardzo dobre.
3.1355ml bottle. InBev with a new-to-market brwery. Pours a lightly hazed gold. Aroma is soggy malt and lemon lime. Falvor is sweetish acidic, soem c-hops, pine, meh.
3.1Pours quite clear golden. Foam rises highland comes down after a while. Aroma is super fresh and crisp. Resins and herbal hops, some tropical fruits. Taste is refreshing, crisp and hoppy. Nice refreshing beer but the finish gets a bit messy and falls apart for me. Rough bitterness and even booze. Drink this beer quickly before it warms up.
3.2Hazy dirty golden brown color. Big frothy white head. Very clean dry nose. Tropical fruit and acetone with some biscuity character. The mouth is a bit lifeless and not as balanced. Some bitterness in the end but overall disappointing.
3.5Tap @ Keg &Brew Hotel. Citrus, tropical fruits and pine dominate the hops while a earthy, slightly toasted malt bill lightens the beer in a slightly English style. Easy drinking, but not particularly complex or exciting.
3.1Pour is gold straw with a fluffy white head. Aroma of citrus with a bit of floral hop notes. Initial malt is a bit of breadiness/apricot/butterscotch, moderate to long bitter finish. very quaffable.
3.7Poured from the 19.2 oz can into a large wine glass. The appearance is a cloudy orange yellow with a pillowy white two finger head. The aroma is soft orange peel with a little bit of wet cardboard. The taste is biscuit with smooth citrus and slight dry pine on the finish.
3.5Poured from the 12oz can into a shaker glass. Light to medium amber with a cream colored head. Aroma is mild but has some citrusy hops. Flavor is lightly malty with some citrusy hops as well as a floral/herbal note. Medium bodied and lightly astringent. Decent IPA.
3.7From the can with friends before heading over to the San Diego Festival of Beer. Hoppy and good for the style. Starting to like this brewery.
3.24oz from flight at the brewery. Poured a clear, yellow orange color with a small white head. Aroma was crisp, tasty hops. Earthy notes, light floral character. Decent, but not as exciting as some of their other offerings.
3.1Can. Hazy gold with white head and lacing. Aroma is floral with notes of bitter orange. Mildly bitter unlike most typical IPAs.
3.322nd May 2016, two 16oz cans at the Angles Stadium in Anaheim as they beat Baltimore O’s 10-2. Assume it was golden, no head to be seen either, as I drank the cans straight. Decent hop bite, both piney and mildly citrusy: I thought this OK, which is why I had two of them ($11.00 each).
3.5Golden with a white head - Malt and hops in the aroma - Good malt to support a nice hop profile that has some fruity tones and bitterness - The fruity hop and bitterness goes into the finish - This was nice
3.4On Tap @ Bay Area Craft Beer Festival, Martinez, California (16.04.2016)
Złoty kolor, czysty, klarowny. Piana wysoka, drobnoziarnista, biała, bujna i trwała. W aromacie owoce tropikalne, skórki pomarańczy, trochę grejpfruta i cytryny. Ciasteczkowa i karmelowa słodowa podbudowa. Średnia tekstura i taka sama goryczka. Po prostu OK.
3.3This was a good ipa it was smooth and didn't have that overly harsh bite of the hops that most would expect, I enjoyed that it came in a can as well.
3.4Can at LAX, pine & citrus hops, decent bitterness, malt tries to balance the hops but falls a bit short, nothing wrong with this beer, it’s another good beer in a very crowded field of Left Coast IPAs, many of them fantastic so this is lost anonymity
4.7I like this a lot - much less sweet and fruity than Wolf - more herbal and bitter - not complex, a bit watery but very very quaffable and refreshing - a very good drink.
