A heavy, very bitter triple. Subtle sweetness.
Huge, dense, reasonably stable just yellowish head over faintly copperish-tinted golden beer; fine carbonation. Rather sweet-alcoholic nose, pale malts, herbal. Starts dry, straw-like at first, then the sugars show their smell. Dry, spicy, toasted flavour, bit burning MF. Much less sweet than the nose would have me believing. Toasted, caramelized hints get stronger in the finish. Seems pretty well attenuated; bit slick and also somewhat sticky backthroat. Good carbonation. Pretty typical tripel. Decorative 3/4 l bottle looks more expensive than the beer.

Sampled under the name Gouyasse Triple Hazy amber; slim, very white head, dwindling quite fast. Creamy nose, toasted/cookie malt, laundry drying. Bitterish front for some time, then sweetish malts and a whack-in-the-face from the alcohol. Anything but refined. Sweetness keeps building up, featuring some fruity yeast flavours. Fiery initial mouthfeel, alcohol. Medium bodied only. Some importer demanded a strong one, and got it. Another fast-fermented triple with little distinction.
0,33 bottle.Deep golden color, the extract is visible in layers, the foam is huge, white, beautiful. Smell of hops, green-grass, fresh, pine resin. It’s unbelievable that when I filled it into a cup while I smelled and then poured half a decite on it, the same huge foam was formed. Such is the really nice beer. Just separate the foam is very bitter and delicious. The taste is fresh, citrusy, moderately bitter, the alcohol is very hidden. A real masterpiece !!! It has a whole extra aftertaste, kind of gum-like, but very good. Bitter aftertaste, but still fresh while drinking! Outstanding beer.

Mély arany szín, az extrakt látható rétegenként, a habja hatalmas, fehér, gyönyörű. Illata komlós, zöld-füves, friss, fenyőgyantás. Hihetetlen hogy egy kehelybe kitöltve amíg szagolgattam, majd fél decit rátöltöttem, ugyanakkora hatalmas hab képződött. Ilyen az igazán szép sör. Csak külön a habja nagyon keserű és finom. Íze friss, citrusos, közepesen keserű, az alkohol nagyon elbújtatva. Igazi remekmű!!! Van egy egészen extra utóíze, valamilyen gumicukor szerű, de nagyon jó. Kesernyés lecsengés, de ivás közben mégis friss! Kiemelkedő sör.
This is a backlog rating from 2014 on draft at Ei8ht Ball, from notes. When I had this beer it was average to below average for the style and not something I wanted to have again or I just didn't get back to my notes because of my technology at the time. Words to describe this beer are honey, floral, lemony citrus, very average.
Goliath. A pale hazy beer with a nice head. The taste is sweet like a Gallia melon with some lemon peel. There is probably some coriander and the beer is nicely hopped. a Keeper!
Bière 75 cl trouvée chez Leclerc. Jolie bouteille mais c'est tout ce qu'on pourra lui accorder, une triple un peu faiblarde qui tire sur la blanche tout en étant bien plus forte, avec un arrière goût un peu désagréable, sans grand intérêt.
(nez levure délicate, bouche > ronde, ~poivrée, malt consistant, bonne longueur amère, savoir-faire, du caractère)
Pours hazy straw with average lasting head. Aroma is honey, lemon, straw, belgian yeast, some flower on palate. Rather malty. Almost dry, medium+ bitter. Soft and fluffy palate, oily texture, long lasting a bit wooden aftertaste. Well balanced.
Une blonde triple avec des caractéristiques assez classiques, hélas dégustée après sa date recommandée de consommation. A réessayer.

Rerate 2022. Very irony, unbalanced tartness, grainy and malty. Very bad. Something went wrong.
Robe blond voilée, jolie mousse assez visqueuse et épaisse, belle carbo. Nez agréable, très épicé et levuré. En bouche, légère amertume liée à un fort côté épicé, alcool perceptible dans la longueur, une triple sans prétention mais fort agréable et bien dans le style. Riche mais pas écoeurante.

A light yellow beer, a head is big and white. Aroma has fruitness, spicyness, some earthynesss. Taste has strong spicyness of black pepper, some earthyness, very dry, not fruitness. Medium bodied, high carbonation. Dry and low fruitness beer.

Poured hazy blond with a large white foamy head. Firm head, lasting.
Aroma is fruity, banana, straw.
Taste is sweet fruity as well.
Finish is light bitter.
Fles 33cl thuis als Géants Gouyasse Tripel (Triple). Lekkere zachte tripel. Heel licht fruit, zoete tonen. Nasmaak heel licht scherp. (1-2012).
Grassy, malty orange up front. Huuuge, pillowy head. Candied citrus. Good balance - drier than sweet. Crisp, dry flavor that emphasizes hops with a lingering bitterness. Quite tasty - just what I want a farmhouse ale to be.
What a beautiful discovery! Pours golden (not amber as the makers discribe it), quite clear with a perfect foam that lasts. The aroma is very fruity: I smelled sweet apple (jonagold) and pear, as if one Walks through an orchard in an indian summer. Also Some complexity in the nose. The taste is sweet but not overly sweet. The fruitiness is balanced with fresh citrus and a slight bitterness, giving this beauty a very appealing mouthfeel. also hints of banana, but not as full as in the Westmalle tripel f.e.. Aftertaste is slightly bitter, but always pleasant and asking for more. Nothing indicates for a second that it has 9 abv, so be careful! Refreshing, complex, and unusual tripel.
Klasyczny niemal Tripel, piekna kremowa biala piana stala tak dlugo na piwie jak pokrecone lody wloskie na wafelku. Lekko metniste, Pachnie owocami glownie ananasem, smakowo ananasy i slodkosc mango, niestety minusem tego piwa jest wyeksponowany alkohol, zadki przypadek bo belgijskie piwa slyna z tego ze doskonale sie to ukrywa. Ale ogolnie dobre piwo
Bouteille de 33 CL achetée chez V&B. Robe dorée trouble avec une mousse blanche abondante. Arômes fruités, malts, houblons, banane, citron. Texture crémeuse, carbonatation moyenne. Notes de banane, malts, levures, herbacées. Fin sèche portée sur le côté herbacé.
Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours clear golden with velvety white head, on a wide Rochefort glass. Nose is sweet fruity, caramel, sweet and spicy yeasty notes, zest. Tastes creamy and crisp, both sweet and gently bitter, yeast, caramel, citrus, finish is dry hop forward. Very nice, proper tripel after a while.
A good triple spicy with an intense flavour golden color white foam, medium sweetness,lively catbonisation and full body.
Golden straw with a thick creamy head and lacing. Smells of fruit and fresh citrus hops, yeasty, grassy and liquorice. Tastes of fruit, earth, grassy as well as herbs and mild spices. Alcohol warms when going down.
Pours hazy yellow with a big, lasting, frothy, white head that leaves lacing. The aroma contains pineapple, banana, citrus, bitter hops, yeast and malt. It tastes light fruity sweet and medium hoppy bitter with a short, dry, though alcoholic finish. Medium body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Promising nose but failed to convince me in the end.
Robe blonde foncée voilée. Col de mousse blanche bien calibrée, stable, bonne tenue. Nez au fort parfum de maïs, légume vert cuit. Bouche au fort arôme de maïs et de légume vert cuit, note herbacée, verte, amère avec une amertume franche qui perce ensuite. Petite présence alcooleuse. Finale amère, âcre. Carbonatation moyenne, corpulence moyenne à épaisse. Triple sèche, amère, légèrement alcooleuse où l'arôme de maïs cuit domine. Faux goût ?
Bottle. White head and clear golden. Citrus, some yeast, some malts and a lot of carbonation in this one. A bit to much carbonation to "feel" the beer.
Yellow with thick head, looks like thin honey. Very nice fruity, yeasty aroma. Taste is fruity, a lot of mango and some apricote. The sweetness dissapears in the quite prominent bitterness at the end. Very good Tripel!
Blonde dorée à la clarté nette et avec une mousse bien blanche à montée centrale, dense. Le nez est très houblonné (houblons Européens surtout) avec un côté acidulé assez prononcé, des agrumes (citron vert), de la coriandre, du basilic. On trouve aussi une grosse charge de malts blonds avec ces notes de céréales juste chaudes caractéristiques. L’ensemble est très végétal, très floral également (avec de la jacinthe, du géranium). On retrouve un peu de caramel, mais les fruits sont absents tout comme les autres notes maltées. Un nez vraiment simple (pour ne pas dire simpliste). En bouche, belle carbonatation, texture ronde et bien souple avec du corps, les sucres sont bien présents mais pas trop écœurants, l’alcool est solide, un peu trop d’ailleurs (puisqu’il domine presque les saveurs), l’amertume est plutôt bien amenée surtout sur le final tandis que les levures sont vraiment neutres. On retrouve du fruit à coque avec des traces de noix, de noisette, d’amande et de cacahuète. La longueur est bonne en ceci que l’alcool fait le boulot pour maintenir le tout à flot. Le final est sur l’amertume principalement... Une triple moyenne de consommation courante qui est à des années lumières de ce que la Belgique produit dans le style... A nice and dense, slightly sweet, really rich tripel. As advertised, plenty of malt character, with bread, caramel, and nutella on the nose. Light-bodied, crisp, and champagne-like. Dry finish and small-bead carbonation.
Cloudy honey yellow, huge white head of perfect retention. The aroma is very spicy. Apple and pear all along. Medium to full body. Sweetish malty flavour. Decent spiciness. Light bitterness. I liked this tripel quite a lot
