4.1Bottle shared at Ratebeer awards show. 30/01/2016. Huge thanks to whomever brought it. A viscous mahogany brown coloured pour with no head. Aroma is big smooth bourbon, vanilla oak, shaved coconut, soicy jamaica cake, and chocolate. Flavour is composed of sticky caramel, toffee, praline chocolate, vanilla, bourbon and some brown sugars. Palate is full and sticky, moderate to low carbonation. Very nice!
3.7bottle, the coconut is light, the rye is strill strong, adding sweetness, whiskey flavors, booze burn and spices. Some vanilla, but its light. Very sweet.
4.4Bottle @cgarvieuk, The Keith Tasting, April 2nd. [Rating Backlog] Pours black, beige head. Nose is wonderful, coconut, dark chocolate, syrup, vanilla, molasses, slight coffee. Taste is more of the same with big fruit cake vibes, huge coconut, big lemon, slightly woody.
4.4Bottle at Dangerous bottleshares 20th edition. Pours black with a tiny brown head. Aroma of cinnamon, bourbon, coconut, chocolate, dark fruits, tonic, vanilla and brown sugar - overall pretty awesome! The taste has vanilla, cinnamon, dark sugar, caramel, bourbon, slight smokey whiskey and coconut. Full smooth body and just rich and complex.
4.3Bottle shared at RBWG 16: Poured a marble brown with no head. Aroma was strong coconut and cinnamon spice. Taste was sticky boozy, cinnamon, coconut, cocoa. Amazing beer, fanf&ckintastic!
4.4Bottle. Pours pitch black with a small brown head. Aromas of cinnamon, vanilla, fudge, chocolate, subtle coconut, sweet bourbon. Taste has cinnamon, fudge, cocoa, dark sugar, caramel, vanilla, light booze, subtle roast in the backend. Delicious!

4.5Aroma has cinnamon, roasted malt and bourbon notes. Pours a black color with white head. Flavor is a robust stout, classic BBC, sticky sweet with cinnamon character and a bourbon booziness.
Notes: On tap at tell Denver Rare Beer Tasting for GABF week ’15
4.1Bottle at Franks. Never wanted to, or thought I would try this rare InBev tick but glad I did. Notes of Almond joy and mounds toasted coconut, graham cracker, Marshmallow, whiskey and milk chocolate vanilla bean. A little thin for 14 but Still really enjoyable for the style
4.5Bottle at Dangerous bottleshares 20th edition!! Featuring Zakoon and Aaron. Pitch black pour with a dark tan head. Notes of spice, cinnamon, light coconut, vanilla, some roast, sweet malts and milky chocolate. Held up good!
4.4Bottle at Dangerous bottleshares 20th edition!! Featuring Zakoon and Aaron. This one from trade with Craig. Pours an almost pitch black with a fizzy tan head. Aroma has lots of what i would assume is this cassia bark, which smells more like cinnamon. Light coconut, caramel, vanilla, cacao, bourbon (well probably rye whiskey), tonka and a light roast. Taste is sweet, light burned caramel, super spicy, lots of maple syrup, light saltiness leading to a bourbon oaky, light bitter finish. Sticky body and a rather high carbonation.
4.1Bottle to glass. Arima is all coconut, sweetness. Thick mouthfeel, sweet, but not cloying. This is really good. Think 13 was better, but still super good.
4.6Bottle shared by jamesy in line at the MBC Dinner release. It’s amazing how the coconut flavor and aroma dominates in this, even with just coconut water as the additive. It’s got all of the sweetness and bourbon heat of the base BCBS, but there’s substantially more going on from the coconut, cassia bark, and cocoa. Tasty and complex, and it’s awesome to finally try this -- cheers, James!
4.3Thanks to Scopemaster Flex for this! Pours viscous opaque black with no head. Aroma is coconut, dark cocoa, chooclate, slight molasses. Taste is coconut, cocoa, milk chocolate, caramel, mild roast, molasses. Full body.
4.4(Goose Island Bourbon County Stout - Proprietor’s 2014) Bottle 650 ml at home, served into a snifter, ABV 13.2%
Pours black with a small dark brown, fizzy head on top, collapsing fast.
Aroma of alcohol, coconut, syrup, molasses, roasted malts, whiskey.
Sweet taste with lots of alcohol, coconut, chocolate, roasted malts, whiskey, molasses.
Thick body, good carbonation, very sticky on the palate.
Another very good, I liked the 2013 and its toasted coconut better than this version with coconut water though.
4.2Thick, greasy brown and a thin tan head. Nose is earthy coconut, big peppery dark choc and bright sweetness. Initial taste is woody sheen, fried BBQ sauce and milky coconut. Mouthfeel is thick, oddly tart on the recoil. Finishes waxy booze which was fairly understated in the offing and lingers spicy choc and thumps of long caramac and dark choc.
Bottle, Scopey Dreggz Tasting
4.2Bottle shared at Craig’s place. It pours jet black with a small, but sturdy tan head. The nose is rather soft, sweet, mellow, juicy, nice coconut character, spice, whiskey and dark chocolate bounty bar. The taste is soft, juicy, oily, slick, a good hit of dark chocolate, plenty of coconut, bounty bar car throughout and some warming alcohol through the finish. Full body, fine carbonation and slick mouth-feel. If you like the chocolate-coconut combo and getting boosted this is for you.
4.0Sampled during RBWG Tampa 2015. Deep brown with a small head. Viscous, oily-looking stuff. Nose is very similar to a Mounds Bar. Plenty of toasted shredded coconut. Sweet milk chocolate. A bit of spicy cinnamon and mild roast coffee. Flavor is sweet, rich and hot. Sweet vanilla and chocolate. Mellow coconut. Spicy finish. Decadently oily body. Smooth and harmonious. Certainly one of the better BCBS variants I’ve had.
4.2Bottle at Craigs. Ta Scopey! Pours dark brown with a thin tan head. Aromas of coconut, chocolate. Taste is coconut. Chocolate finish.
4.4Bottle at craig’s. Pours black, nose is huge coconut, vanilla, cocoa, chocolate , taste is similar, quite rich, dry.

4.5On tap at Flanny’s during a Goose Island tap takeover. A huge amount of sweet toasted coconut pops right away on the aroma accompanied by milk chocolate, cinnamon and faint warm rye whiskey. Pours glossy black with a khaki head that fades quickly. The first sip reveals a delicious medley of prominent toasted coconut, cinnamon and a touch of cocoa. Solid boozy warmth and taste but not overpowering. Excellent, and it even exceeds the 2013 version, which I adored.
4.4Bottle at RBWG. Pours a deep black appearance with a dark brown head. Bright cinnamon, rich dark chocolate, caramel, nutty aroma. Oily, thick German chocolate cake with some vanilla and a ton of coconut. This is amazing. Incredibly good in the small portion I had.
4.6Bottle at RBWG 2016. Holy coconut nose. Milky. Lots of bourbon. Taste is just as decadent and sweet. Lots of vanilla and cocoa throughout. Amazing. Previous notes. Nose is light vanilla but might not even get that if I wasn’t told. Comes through more as it warms. Dark brown pour with small light brown head. Taste is more vanilla forward with a light cocoa powder and surprisingly moderate bitterness that I don’t recall in the non vanilla version. A tad thin but still very drinkable. Overall ok but nothing grate.
4.6650ml bottle pours a dark brown color with a foaming brown head that dissipates quickly. Delicious balance of the cocoa and spice.
4.4Bottle @ Abijen’s Christmas non-tick tasting. Strong aroma of cocos, vanilla, cacao and creamy roast. Rich amazing flavor of milky cocos, chocolate, vanilla, nuts, cinnamon, spices and a long evolving delicious finish. This is really friggin’ amazing.
4.6Bottle @ Abijen’s Christmas non-tick tasting, small sample. Dark color, short head. Aroma of coconut, vanilla, roasted malts, caramel, cookie, biscuit. Lovely coconut in taste, bit sweet, some vanilla. Well balanced, and I love coconut BA beers. Wonderful.
