3.0 (Draught at Beer Temple, Amsterdam, 30 July 2017) Golden colour with lasting, white head. Malty nose with bread, grass and a touch of fruit. Clean and crisp. Malty, crisp taste with notes of bread, citrus, grass and a gentle citric bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Crisp and well made pilsner, but hardly exceptional. Quite enjoyable.
3.4 (12oz bottle) AROMA: biscuit, bread crust, light yeast, touch of toffee, some herbs, parsley , grass APPEARANCE: nice looking beer, medium straw/golden yellow, clear, decent carbonation, think/dense tight foam that holds on for a while. TASTE: medium roasty malt, buttery biscuit, cornbread, touch of toast and dark chocolate PALATE: not too heavy, light medium body, smooth and soft, a little creamy. OVERALL: a decent middle of the road Pilsner, I like the softness and the light roasted notes. Not as bold or hoppy as a great pils but much better than a mass lager.
2.8 Pilsner ehh. Pours gold w/ a fluffy white head & spotty lacing. The aroma is faint bread. The taste is a little malty w/ a slight hop kick towards the end. Boring, plain, pils!
2.5 I did not care for the character of the bitterness. Somewhat metallic. Also a long lasting bitter metallic finish. Disappointing beerfrom a normally pretty good brewery
2.6 At a party: was this can too old? Dated March 2017. In any case golden. Aroma is herbal and malty. Taste too sweet and herby. Aome bitterness. Not good.
3.3 Dégustée à l'été 2017 (De mes notes). .
3.5 Gold color with a large head. Vegetal hoppy aroma. Grassy, medicinal hop flavor. Slightly metallic. Light grain, dusty silo character. Moderately bitter, dry finish.
3.2 Bottled from mixer 12 pack. Pours an average size foamy white head, good retention. Has a clear golden appearance. Fizzy carbonation. Aromas are herbs, grass, hay. Flavours are medium sweetness, lightly bitter, some grassy and herbal hops. Medium body, astringent finish. Not bad.
3.3 Canette 473ml. Couleur jaune dorée translucide, mousse blanche. Arôme de houblon herbacé, agrumes. Goût de houblon herbacé, malt, amertume moyenne-faible, un peu trop sucré. Carbonatation moyenne-élevée, corps moyen.
3.4 12 oz Bottle. Smells of grass and citrus and malt. Pours hoiney gold with a pillowy, persistent white head. Some lacing. Malty pils tastes. Lots of carbonation. Solid. I think it’s pretty good.
3.3 Light aroma but there is faint hints of honey and grapefruit. Taste is honey caramel and some citrus. Finishes with a light earthiness.
3.4 Clear golden pour with limited head and lacing. Aroma was grainy, malty and bit of citrus. The taste was a citrus and mildly spicy pilsner, pretty good for the style.
3.1 Over priced can a concert @ an InBev facility Not bad really, Pils are not my go to , but beer seemed right and IPA was not the call. On a warm summer night Pretty good really tasty some balls for a change in Pils world May reconsider @ $3.00 vs $12.25 WTF.
3.1 Clear golden, with a lacing white head. Grassy, hoppy aroma. Refreshing, malty, with a slightly bitter finish.
(Rating #7766)
3.0 Can from beer store. Unremarkable pils that somehow misses the mark on the style. It’s more of a straight up lager than it is a Czech or German styled pils. Lacks the crispness, absorbic acid flush & the sharp finish. Not sure why I’d buy another one of these.
3.3 Really a nice pils with good pils malt flavor and body. Good hop character and really a bit of soul in the caramel malt. Refreshing carbonation and altogether an appropriate pils. Everything thing in beer these days does not have to be demonstrative!
3.1 12 fl oz bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow. Small white head. Aroma is grassy, grainy. Mild straw. Bitter and dry grassy finish.
2.9 Free sample. Blonde but dull-looking. Decent herbaceous continental hops, and biscuity malt note. Moderate bitterness. Ok pils, thought doesn’t distinguish itself much.
2.4 pale yellow with nice white head, loads of spicy bitter hops. Reminds me of a dish towel wrung out through a hale bale, through a bed of pine needles and into a glass, it's not bad.
2.9 Draft at Beer Temple. Clear golden color. Creamy white head. Aroma’s: malty, light vegetal. Retronasal there isn’t much, light sweetness, light hops, light fruit. Flavor is light bitter. Light bodied. Finishes with a pleasant bitterness.
3.0 6 3 6 3 12 Draft at Beer Temple, Amsterdam. Clear golden with a thick white head. Aroma of light fruity hops, cardboard, grain and malt. Flavour is above light sweet and bitter. Light bodied with light carbonation.
2.5 Bottle at Legacy, Vancouver Darker blond than other Pilsners, it has somehow a grainy malt profile and no noble hops. Boring.
3.4 Bottle… Pours clear and golden with a small, wispy, white head that shrinks to a small, tight, white collar. The nose features delightful, doughy malts and spicy, floral, European hops. Medium-bodied with jazzy carbonation. The flavor trends modestly bitter with peppery and spicy hops. Doughy malts take a backseat here, but are far from forgotten. Crisp, moderately bitter, doughy finish that dries out a tad.
3.4 473ml can. Gold with haze. Big white creamy cap. Nose has grain, bread, light hops. Taste - grain, pils malt, grassy hops. Dry end with grassy bitterness and a light mouth feel. Aftertaste is hay, grain, grass. I like it.
3.7 Drunk at Goose island vintage ale house on draft. Copper appearance, bitter finish, floral and fairly easy drinking.
3.3 Draft. Light hazy golden, nice floral and grass aroma. Mild sweet taste, balanced light body finish. Good overall.
1.2 Is goose islands answer to all their beers to just go crazy with the hops?! If I wanted IPA bitterness, I would have bought one. Tastes like biting a grapefruit peel.
