4.2 Cloudy light golden colour really wild smelling with a lot of barrel and peach. Just a wonderful winey and barrel flavour with lots of peach while remaining light. A champagne like sparkle. Long aftertaste, medium dry. A very awesome beer.
Droge afdronk. M: Doordrinker met medium carbonatie.
3.9 75 cl fles 2017 release. Bleek geel blond bier zonder schuim. Geur: hout, fruitig, citrus, stekelbes, wat vineus. Smaak: zoetzuur, fruitig, citrus, vineus, ietwat vlezig. Medium koolzuurprikkel. Afdronk: droog, zurig, tannine. Leuk.
4.0 LCI van de tap @KaapseBrouwers. Heerlijke saison, moutig, zurig, fris, mooie volle smaak. Prima.
4.1 Draft @ VanMoll, Eindhoven. Slightly cloudy light golden, foamy white head. White grapes, citrus, light peach, floral, light funk, medium-high acidity, vanilla: well balanced, very elegant. Medium body, lively carbonation.
4.1 Ottima birra veramente ben fatta.
4.8 Amber color, smelled like nets, taste sparklingly, a bit sweetness, souvour, not strong alcohol, will try next time.
4.1 Pours a slightly murky gold. Sweet delicious aroma and easy. Not too tarty but full of flavour. Definitely one of the easier sours to enjoy.
4.1 750 ml 2016 bottle. Pours golden with tall, long-lasting, foamy off-white head. Nose is of funky yeast, vinegar, bready malt and ripe fruit. Body is full and tangy. Taste is similar to aroma. Finish is long and sour. Nice brew.
3.6 Backlog, bottle that pours an ultra hazy golden with large head and tons of carbonation. Probably too much. Nose and flavor of funky brett, sour peach, vanilla, oak, and vino. Light to medium bodied with a very funked out finish.
3.7 330ml glass bottle, dated as bottled on 14/01/2017. From Hop Lords in Worcester. Cost around £5. Served in an oversized wine glass having been warming from the fridge for about 45minutes. The beer pours a vivid golden orange colour, lots of haze but the main feature of the appearance is the carbonation. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a beer with so much aggressive carbonation. Almost like dropping an Alka Seltzer into a glass of water. But if said Allan Seltzer where pumped up on steroids. The carbonation takes some time to slow down and settle into what is still a highly carbonated beer. No head to speak of. The aroma hits as soon as the crown is off the bottle. Tart and sour, as expected. Peach and apricot, with oak qualities. Everything about this beer reminds me of white wine. The beer is very tasty and surprisingly easy to drink. Medium mouth puckering tartness, peach and woody wine-esque flavours. On the tongue carbonation dominates to begin with but gives way to a strange dry peachy mouthfeel similar to one you experience after eating a peach yogurt. It feels as if the inside of the mouth is coated. A sensation that lasts for some time, with a slight simmering fizz in the background. A very good beer, not overly complex but tasty and easy to drink.
3.9 Cloudy blond colour, medium head with no retention, citrus and herbal aroma, light body, citrus spicy flavour
3.8 Wow
3.7 750 ml bottle rating. Halia has a lively golden body with an average to below average white head. Definite peach scent, combined with some brett and slightly sour notes. Not puckering sour, but definitely leans more towards sour as opposed to tart. Nice effervescent carbonation to offset the sour somewhat. Quite drinkable and not bad overall.
3.7 2016 bottle from the great Chans sale of 2018. Really nice and developed agt this point. Good tart aroma and flavor punch. Enjoyable.
3.7 Clear gold. Sour, tart, funky, notes of peach. Refreshing. Bottle from Sarah for Beervent 2018.
4.0 Poured from 12 oz bottle into tulip glass. Hazy gold with plenty of sediment. Aroma is sour, floral, and peaches. Flavor tart, peach, yeast roll. Overall very good.
4.3 12 oz bottle, thanks CJ. 2017 Release. Aroma is bretty, peach, white wine, wood, vanilla. Pours hazy golden with little flecks of sediment floating around and no head. Taste is highly sour (8/10), savory, with flavors like the aroma. The peach comes through more in flavor than in the nose. This is really fucking tasty, I'm sad to say. Damn you, Budweiser-owned mfs. At least I didn't pay for it.
3.4 Bottled On 14JAN17 (12oz). Nose is puckeringly sour peaches. Pour perfectly clear golden, no gush, but fizzes itself out loudly and quickly. Taste strongly sour with lots of alcohol warmth (without being too rough) and a little acid burn in the throat, milky lacto for sure and relatively mild at some Brett (hay, touch pineapple, touch horsey, again: present but mild). Fizzy-sharp full body, relatively heavy, and doesn't quench the thirst despite activating the salivary glands. Really not getting any kind of traditional estery or spicy-peppery Saison flavor, though the smooth and classy wood character does reveal itself with volume. Peachy, relatively clean, and good (its strength and boldness put it up there with the big boys, though not favorably), but don't think I'm paying for another. [2019.02.21: 3.4]
3.6 Appearance: crisp clear golden bit no head Aroma: funky apricots, horse blanket Palate: mediumight mouthful , highly carbonated Taste: tart, sour, apricots Overall: a pretty sour beer but good drinking
4.0 Apricots, peaches, pineapple, slightly sour , easy to drink, more carbonated than the level I enjoy but very good!
3.6 Hazy straw blond colour with no head. Aroma and flavour have a lot of sharp peach. Dry and tart. Nice mix of funk, fruit and tartness.
3.9 C+. Probably my favorite sour, but that's not saying much
3.5 Good. Golden and effervescent. Funky, lightly tart, very cheesy, like a funky bleu cheese, a bit of feet. Semi-dry, faintly hopped. Almost reminiscent of Orval but not quite in the same ballpark.
4.0 Bottle @ Tidens Farver, 2015 vintage. Pours slightly hazy light golden with a small white head. Aroma ro malt, light sourness, tart fruit, rich peach, wood, white wine. Flavor is sweet and rather sour, malt, yeast, tart fruit, green fruit, peach, wood, wine, light alcohol. Medium body, average carbonation, dry and rather acidic finish. 291218
3.7 Bottle. Wine Rack, Leeds. Dark straw colour. Light haze. Film of white. Nose has cut peach. Peach stone. Soft, brett like funk. Some sour milk. Taste is a little sweet and peachy, with a milky sourness. Medium body. Foamy carbonation. A tad oily maybe. Light sourness to finish. Very drinkable. Very decent, overall.
3.3 12 oz. bottle. Bottled 14JAN17. ABV 7.7% per the label. Pours a minimal head, with no lacing, over a hazy bubbly yellow (SRM 3) body......nose is heavy funk, acid, slight lemon/lime fruit tones, no hops, minimal malts......taste is moderate sour/acid, funk with earthy tones, mild fruits primarily with lemon/lime, finishing with bitter acid......mouth feel, medium light body, slight alcohol warmth, high carbonation. This falls toward the Sour/Wild Ale style nicely, but is not particularly pleasant. The appearance is bad, but maybe too long in the bottle. BJCP 10/2/10/4/6
2.3 12 Oz bottle. Promo'd as a Belgian Ale. Way too bitter and full of floaties. Not good at all. Sour. Not a beer drinkers beer at all.
3.6 2017 bottle, Dan's. Gold. White head fizzes away in seconds. 3- Aroma of old oranges, peaches, boot polish, light bracken. Medium bodied, quite carbonated. Not slippery. A nice balance of sweet fruit, funk, acid and zingy oak. I like it but after about 150ml am wondering whether it has anything more to say - which maybe I wouldn't had it been 6ish%. Does drink well with washed rind cheese.
