3.4 On tap, orange colored pour with nice frothy head, crisp fruity clove and malt caramel aroma and flavors, nice Octoberfest
3.2 Pours a clear copper color with white head. Malt, caramel and spice aroma. Malt, toffee, slight hop and spice flavors. Medium light body and a spiced malt finish.
2.7 Amber lager, tastes more like a pumpkin spice beer with strong hints of cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger. Not bad overall but slightly flat.
3.0 Tap at GB in Broomfield, pale amber, a little hazy, toast on the nose, nice example of the style, toasty but also a little dusty and spicy.
2.8 Tap in Mission Valley. Pours a clear golden color with a medium white head. Nose is bready, cereal, caramel. Flavor is bread, caramel, light hops, with a dry finish. Watery mouthfeel. Ok.
2.9 Draft. Pours hazy amber gold with a thin white head. Tastes malty, slightly sweet and bready. Light body and medium carbonation. Smells slightly musky and bready.
2.8 Tap. Pours mostly clear gold with creamy white head. Aroma is faint with some notes of bread, cereal, caramel, dates, and pine. Flavor is bready malts, light caramel sweetness, light hop bitterness, and faint toast; dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.
2.7 Tap at brewery...orangish clrar pour..white head...super malty n boring..corn...just ok
2.7 Bottle: light amber orange. Medium white head. Clear. Light malty nose. Neutral and a little dirty or advanced. Crisp clean. Medium light sweetness. Not much depth. Malty. Just a little bitterness. Light medium weight. Light medium length. Easy drinking. Little character.
2.7 A red copper beer in with a thick collapsing mocha mocha head. In aroma, sweet caramel malt with nutty notes, grassy hops. In mouth, a lightly sweet malt with nutty notes, a bit watery, so-so. On tap at Gordon Biersch Dulles.
2.0 Draught. This is a not as good as the Marzen they brew seasonally. It is thin and a the maltiness tastes off somehow. Like mouldy biscuits.
3.4 12 ounce bottle found at the Redwood Road state store. Pours a clear amber color with a small white head. A sweet nose of fruit and honey. A light refreshing brew, some light fruity hops, biscuit, spices. Pretty nice.
2.5 In bottle; this was an OK beer. Quite hoppy and a little bitter ... as far as Oktoberfest beers go, it was just OK. Mild-medium bodied, very hoppy taste and feel.
2.8 Clean light floral and bread aromas. Golden with a white cap. Smooth balanced flavors. Crisp and clean.
3.4 Poured from a 12 ounce bottle. Malty, sweet bread, caramel, slight sulfur. A light easy drinking lager. This is a standard
3.0 Appearance is a clear amber. Aroma is sweet malts. Taste is a typical Oktoberfest with bready malts. Overall pretty decent.
3.0 Tap - small foamy head, medium amber color, mildly sweet malty aroma and flavor, mild nutty notes
3.1 On tap at NO restaurant. Clear, pale orange amber with a short lasting white head. Taste is malty, cereals, lightly bronzed cooked bread. Light, very fine bitterness. Some spices, some sweetness. Mostly malty finish. Medium bodied, somewhat creamy. Good beer, not legendary.
2.3 I picked this up in the bottle at Total Wine in Henderson, NV. An Oktoberfest style lager with sweet malt and toasted barley flavors; a slight bitter/metallic aftertaste. Not one of my favorite Oktoberfest beers.
3.1 Tap. Fluffy eggshell head, light orangey clear copper. Lightly sweet malts, slight grain, and toffee as well. Flavor is quite similar, some slight toffee, light toast, fairly clean and slightly leafy. Lighter to medium body with bright carbonation. Not all that bad.
2.9 Draft. Pours gold with a fluffy white head. Lightly sweet malts, lighter toasty notes, low bitterness throughout, and a grainy malty finish. Not bad.
3.4 Bottle, Sandy Lane, CA, 31/08/12. Bright gold with a slender, slightly lacing head. Shrubs and honey aroma. Shrubs, sherbet-sprinkled honey and honeycomb notes; clean bread and bitterness to finish. Another surprisingly tasty European-style lager from the sampler case.
3.3 Hazy golden color with a sticky off white head. Thin sweet nose. Sweet caramel taste with faint camp fire and toasted grains. Some white sugar sweetness. Pretty generic beer.
3.4 12oz bottle from the state store Appearance: Clear dark amber with a small off-white head and some lacing Aroma: Toasted malts, bready and sweet Taste: Dusty sweet caramel, hoppy citrus with a dry bitter finish OK, clean
3.2 ~Aroma of sweet bread, melanoidins, caramel and spicy hops. ~Pours clear dark gold color with lasting white head. ~Flavor is much more hoppy and bitter than aroma implies. Spicy earthy hops with bready biscuity malts, Slight caramel sweetness. ~Med body, med high CO2, finish is dry and leaves lingering hoppy finish. ~Enjoyable brew. Flavor reminds me more of a Czech Pilsner than Oktoberfest beer.
3.4 Bottle 355 ml Aroma: sweet dusty malty aroma, low hop profile. Fairly clean but it is lacking some fine depth of top lagers. 6+ Appearance: very nice shade of deep gold-amber. Neatly contrasting white cap.. Palate / Taste: Nice solid malt profile. Front was sweeter with gently hopped walls. Very nice carbonation level. Refreshing with good depth. Traditional feel. Solid Oktoberfest beer.
3.2 Draught at SFO. Golden color with just a touch of amber. Malty and rich flavor, smooth. Pretty authentic. Slightly strong but sweet and decently balanced.
2.2 I’m not a huge Gordon Biersch fan but this is a pretty good beer. It has a lot of flavor and is smooth for a Oktoberfest style beer.
2.6 On tap at brewpub. Comes clear amber with decent white head. Aroma of malt and yeast. Taste is sweet malt, caramel and bread. Decent but unremarkable.
2.9 Serving: 12 oz. bottle from State Line Liquors. It pours a deep copper color with a small, off-white crop of foam. The nose is a little musty and stale. There is some honey in there. The flavor has light malt, honey, and cracker notes. Thin on the palate and rather drab. This one seems a little watery and dull. Light in body with carbonation that seems to hurt rather than help. It thins out a beer that’s already thin. Drinkable, but certainly not their best offering.
