3.2Light herbal, floral aroma--more in the flavor. Sweet malt flavor; a little biscuit-y malt in finish. A little astringent.
3.4Poured from a 12 ounce bottle. There are notes of honey, corn, sweet pilsner malt, slight fruity esters in the aroma. The flavor is corn, sweet pilsner malts. Really clean beer, just a boring style.
2.9Beer has a lemon yellow color with a small head. It has a little bit of spice with some floral hops. Taste has some hops with a lemon taste to it. It also has a slight bitterness to it. Short finish.
3.6Typical summer brew. Hops forward, but not overpowering. Slight cloves aroma.Price is right.
2.6malt sugar.....................................................................................sssssssssssssssssssssssssssss even caramel
3.2On tap during Ohio Brew Week 2013, taster from Red Brick. Clear pale yellow color. Good thin white head. Good lace. Good, smooth kind of soft, kind of crisp lighter carbonation. Nice hay, light grass hop aroma, peppery breadiness. Satisfying lighter bitter taste. Great kolsch.
2.7Smells floral and somewhat sour. Pours yellow-orange, clear with a very thin white head. Taste is pretty bland but has a nice grainy finish.
3.0Pours pale yellow with creamy white head. Malt, grass and corn aromas. Malt and grain flavors. Smooth refreshing finish.
3.7On tap at GB @ Oakland airport
Clear golden with a medium sized white head and good lacing. Aroma and flavors of malts, banana, wheat and grains
This would be nice on a hot day.
2.3Pours yellow with a thin white head. Notes of pils malt, vegetable, buttery, papery malt. Light to medium bodied with soft carbonation. Some off flavors made this less enjoyable.
2.8Sweet malty aroma, flavor and body are too thin--"thin" being a word that applies all too often to the beers I had at this place. Flavor seems to be in the backround, as if a good beer is trying to break out but doesn’t quite make it.
2.8Aroma:grainy ,dusty with golden malts.Lighter hop, bit understated.
Look:proper , presentable golen brew with medium top. 3+
Taste:medium light bodied with accent on golden malts. Grainy backing with clean lighter hop notes. Clen but with generic approach.
2.812 oz. Bottle in SF, CA. Golden color with little to no head. Decent light citrus grain flavor on a light, crisp palate. Very little to no scent. Overall, an OK kolsch.
3.0On draft at brewery in Boolingbrook, poured a light yellow color with little aroams, moslty light grain and cereal. Flavors followed suit, mostly grain, light lemon, and some cereal. Ok beer overall.
2.9On tap at brewpub. Clear straw with a short-lasting white head. Tastes like cereals. Very light bitterness. Medium bodied. Creamy mouthfeel. Very average...
2.7Tap @ the brewpub. Nice head with good duration. Color is yellow. Aroma and taste are crisp clean malt, straw and hops.
3.2Draft at Rockville, MD location on 07/28/12. Served in a footed pilsner glass. Arrived at the table a clear pale gold color with a thick off-white head that left rings of lacing behind. There was a semi-sweet aroma of freshly cut grass, wheat, light citrus, and touches of corn. Went down thin and crisp with a high level of effervescence. The taste started with a little sweet cereal graininess. Mineral and yeast touches were present in the middle. There was a light hop bitterness at the end. Refreshing, but quite boring.
3.50.5L draft, served in a sort of oversized slightly flared Kolsch glass, at Gordon Biersch in Leawood, Kansas. The pour is a clear golden, with lots of carbonation bubbles, and a one inch white head that falls pretty quick. The aroma is soft floral and hay, simple, fresh nose. The taste is cracker sweet malt right off, the hay, and some mineral and a bit of general earthiness. Aftertaste lingers with a touch of the sweetness. The palate is light to medium bodied, featuring above average fine carbonation and the earthy mineral finish. Easy drinking, nice take on the style.
2.9Pours a clear golden straw with a thick white head, aroma is yeast strong with pale malt to balance. Flavor is just like aroma light malt with a lot of yeast character.
2.7Pours a pale golden with a thick white head. I’m getting a little bit of grass in this, but not a huge amount of smell. This is very easy on the palate and goes down rather nice on a hot summer day.
3.4Draft: crisp, clean, slightly hoppy Kölsch. A great session beer. Food Pairing: Garlic Fries.
3.7on draught at GB in broomfield, co. this was a nice crisp refreshing, version of the style, very light and sessionable, a nice beer
3.2On draught at DC brewpub. Pkurs astraw color with a lasting medium-bubble white head. Musty, slightly yeasty, slightly hoppy aroma. Light body. Noticable carbonation. Moderate mouthfeel with slight hop bitterness. Slightly hoppy, crisp flavor balance. Clean u.derlying malt. Nice refreshing summer beer.
2.9Poured from the bottle, aroma is grainy, bleh I know kolsch beer is light and refreshing in summer, but so plain! Flavor is also grainy. Whatever.
3.2Tasted on tap in sampler glass. Appears a clear golden color with weak white head, no lace. Little aroma, but there are hints of grain, baking bread, refined hops, and some fruity yeast esters. A very crisp, clean and refreshing ale. Easier to drink than macro adjunct lagers.
3.1Great aroma. Flavor is not as robust as I would expect with a Kolsch. Mostly sweet, malty taste. Well-carbonated.
2.4Poured a clear orange color with a small white hegad. Nose is bland Light to medium body with heavy carbonation. Flavor is grassy hops. No finish
3.6brew in GB in DC. Pretty decent summer beer, nice refreshing taste, pleasant palate.
2.7Draft at Rockville location. Clear pale yellow pour with a fluffy white head. Grassy bitter beer with some off cream and butter flavors. Not much flavor. Overall not great.
3.0This armoa is of Bacon????? at least to me it does, the taste of sourness and hops this is a really refreshing beer if you really love the smell of bacon, I dont understand why i smell it but I do.
