Gotlands Sleepy Bulldog Pale Ale
Benämningen Pale Ale kännetecknar en ljusare typ av Ale som bryggs på ljusare malt. En ölsort med karaktäristisk humle som har fruktiga toner och en markerad beska. Namnet härrör från en Bulldog som hette Krut. Med sina dryga 40 kilo muskler, ingav Krut välförtjänt respekt.
Han var en sann glädjespridare precis som denna öl.

On bottle.
Pours deep red with small head.
Scent: Little hoppy.
Taste: Lots of bitterness. Long aftertaste, little watery though.
Texture: Low carbonation, unfortunately.
Flaska 330 ml från Systembolaget. Bärnstensfärgad med skum som sedan lägger sig på insidan av glaset. Doft av humle, torkad frukt och mandarin. Smak av humle, torkad frukt, bröd apelsinskal och örter. Rejäl beska.

God öl
This beer is coming from Amstein, St-Légier, tasted ultimately at home, in Epalinges. In my point of view, it is a classical pale ale, simple. A good beer after the job, copper body, clear, regular carbonation. The taste is dry, dry malt, watery, resinous side that it is common on the pale ale, maybe it is a cheapest hop than others giving tropical fruits, but it is just an impression.

Amber, cloudy with a medium white head. Aroma of hops, sweet malt and caramel. Light bitter with a caramel and malt end.
On tap at Arlanda. Clear amber colour, white foam. Actually wasn’t the worst pale ale ever this, good malt base, hint of sweetness, and a reasonable hop bite with some fruit and a medium bitterness.
In a way it is an accomplishment to create a beer almost devoid of flavour. This tastes like sparkling water with a drop of malt syrup.

Mild smell of hops. Dark amber colour, beige head. Aroma of hops, spruce, grass. Dry palate. Bitter. Lively carbon.
Õlle on selline jook, et iga uus kord kui klaasi või pudeli suule tõstad, siis leiad midagi uut, sõltuvalt tuhandest-miljonist pisiasjast, mis hetke olukorda mõjutavad. Seega piirdun iga õlle juures selle tekstiga.

Intense amber with medium white head. No specific aroma. Nice strong hoppy bitterness on the mildly sour background. Lasting bitter aftertaste.

Clear, dark amber with a small, white head. Aroma of caramel, toast and malts. Taste is sweet, malty, delicate. Finish is medium long, toasty, caramel. Overall, very standard, seems lagerish on account of the body and bitterness towards the end.

Diffuus oranje geel biertje met weinig koolzuur en een schuimkraag die niet veel over houdt. Smaak is bitter hoppig en fruitig en heeft een mooie frisse fruiitige geur die bij de smaak past. Bottle on boat trip from Arkosund. Deep amber colour with thick white head. Aroma malty and citrus. Light bittersweet to light bitter. Medium body.

Mycket god, frisk, fruktig!
Keg at the Tap Station, Forbes Town, Philippines. Poured a clear copper colour with a frothy white head. The aroma is caramel malt, mineral, earthy metallic hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a light watery crisp malt, woody hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation. I hope the Filipinos don’t think this is the best Sweden has to offer.

Flavor is moderate sweet with a long duration, sweet malt, hay - straw - grass, fruity hops, caramel, light toffee. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20170318]

Clear amber. Aroma is shy hop profile resin, toffee. Taste is sticky hops, watery, medium to thin body. Boring and stale. Almost no finish. Nah.

An dark orange beer, a head is medium and blond. Aroma has papaiya, mango, grapefruit and mandarin. Taste has citrus with grapefruit and mandarin, less fruitness of mango. Almost medium bitterness is balancing the slightly caramelly maltyness. Medium bodied. Nice.
