3.7 Bottle, 750ml. A cloudy orange beer with a small head. Aroma of citrics and yeast. Taste is mildly sour with some bitterness. Light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Slightly sour aftertaste and very drinkable.
3.8 Bottle, 750ml. Murky orange with sediment, frothy to minimal offwhite head. Tart aromas of citrus, brett, flowers. Medium bodied, fizzy carbonation. Slick and oily. Medium sweet, medium to light sour. Juicy citrus and yeasty flavors. Very pleasant.
3.5 Bottle. Pours a clear gold with a pink hue and an off-white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has some hibiscus and a bit of oak with a light funkiness underlying. Flavor has a combination of grassy funk and hibiscus with a bit oak underlying.
4.0 Bottle. Moderate grain and hay for the malt, moderate to heavy grass and lime for the hops, moderate musty farmhouse for the yeast, with wood, crabapple and dust in the background. Head is average size, frothy, white, with good slippery lacing and is mostly lasting. Color is hazy medium amber. Flavor starts moderately acidic, then finishes moderately to heavily acidic, a little bitter and a touch sour. Palate is light to medium, watery with a fizzy carbonation and a lightly dry finish. A superb Saison. If it had a touch more complexity in the flavor I’d say it was close to perfect.
3.9 Really nice looking. Although I guess its light amber in color it looks to have a pinkish glow. Aroma is complexly fruity (I think both apples, pears, grape, tangerine, lemon etc) and a slightly sharp tartness to it. Really nice aroma! The taste is lightly sweet, quite tart and has some bitterness as well. Nice taste as well though very sharply tart and had hoped for more of the fruitiness from the aroma.
4.1 Bottle at Warszawski festiwal piwa. Nice aroma, light funky, citrus. Taste is light bitter, light tart, some leather in flavor, grapefruit.
3.4 bottle, from Anchorage Brewing, batch #2. good aroma, fruity funky. citrus, minor berry, decent, but not overpowering funk. oak. clean pinkish orange color, no head or lace. medium sour flavor. light body thin smooth creamy mouthfeel, dry sour finish. very nice, dry beer. flavor best part, real good sour fruitiness.
3.9 Bottle, may 6th 2016. Unclear golden body with a small disappearing white head. Aroma is funky with brett, lime, mango. Taste is dry and crisp, low bitterness, juicy fruits, spicy yeast and brett. Tart finish, extremely refreshing.
4.2 Bright pink-grapefruit rosé colour, opal with a fine poring white head. Aromas of lime, pink grapefruit, unripe peach and melon, floral with some funky barnyard notes, horseblanket, hibiscus flowers at the back end with hints of wood and a faint whaff of roses. Fine perlage developping some tangy effervescence, mild texture, light-medium bodied. Brisk flowery sweetness up front with a well developped sourness offering a pleasant astrignency leading to some more bitterness. Somewhat tart finish yet bright.
4.5 Despite the cold images conjured by its name, Arctic Soiree is the perfect companion to a scorching day. While I generally hate it when someone says anything tastes "summery" it’s hard not to use that descriptor for this beer. The hibiscus gives this beer a pinkish tint. This Grassroots brew smells floral, citrusy, and lightly earthy. It transcends the flavor profile, too. The sweet hibiscus slightly offsets the barnyard and horse blanket notes from the Brett. Likewise, the lime juice lifts the taste to keep it from being too heavy or bready and blends with this beer’s natural sourness. A medium-dry finish; very refreshing. I haven’t had any losers from Grassroots. Arctic Soiree keeps a good thing going.
2.2 Bottle. A- Hibiscus, lime juice, subtle strawberry, subtle funk. A- Orangish pink color, hazy liquid, white head. T- Brett, funky, subtle citric bitterness, horse blanket, manure, straw. P- Medium body, average texture, medium carbonation, funky finish. O- Too damn much Brett. That ruins a good beer. Smells nice and then the flavor is nothing but funky shit.
3.8 Finally tagging this one, bottle, hazy, pinkish amber, white head disappeared. Aroma is lemon, lime, hibiscus. Taste is lemon, black pepper, peach, melon, oak. Palate is light, carbonation average, very soft. This has a sweetish center that balances the acid nicely.
4.0 Hazy rosey copper under a thin foamy off white head. The nose has a nice rosey and hibiscus note, kefir lime, and a funky bretty barn tone to end it. Smooth and farm-y bretty flavor with a bit of hibiscus, hay, kefir lime, and a dry bretty finish.
4.0 Nice pinkish cast from hibiscus . Aroma is fruit, slight citrus and faint perfume. Flavor’s like nose plus a bit of lime in the finish.
4.0 Pours a golden pinkish color with fizzy head. Aroma is floral, bretty, with a touch of citrus. Flavors are tart brett funk with a light citrus peel and floral...dry finish.
3.3 Pink hued pour. Small pink head. Little lacing. Aroma of straw, citrus, and a bit of barnyard. Tart mouth with a very chalky dryness. Not bad.
4.1 Bottle. Cotteridge, Brum. Label states batch 2. Cloudy, deep, rose pink. Film and halo of sticky, off white head. Loads of brett on the nose. Lime juice. Flora. Some red berry fruit. The oak comes across white chocolate sweet. All of which seems to come together well. Taste is light, fruity sweet, turning floral, leafy bitter. Clean, sharp mouthfeel. Nice brett tanginess. Floral, citric bitter finish. Great stuff.
3.9 750 ml bottle into tulip glass; Batch #2, bottled in 10/2015. Moderate gusher upon popping the cork. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy pinkish orange color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy light pink head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tart lemon, lime, grapefruit, cranberry, pineapple, mango, pear, white wine, peppercorn, hay, straw, grass, oak, honey, cracker, light musty funk, and yeast/oak earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity fruity/spicy/funky yeast, lime/hibiscus, oak, and light pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart lemon, lime, grapefruit, cranberry, pineapple, mango, pear, white wine, peppercorn, hay, straw, grass, oak, honey, cracker, light musty funk, and yeast/oak earthiness. Good amount of peppery yeast spiciness and light fruity/tannic tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of tart lemon, lime, grapefruit, cranberry, pineapple, mango, pear, white wine, peppercorn, hay, straw, grass, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy/funky yeast, lime/hibiscus, oak, and light pale malt flavors; with a great tartness/spiciness balance and no astringent flavors after the finish. Good amount of dryness from tart/spiciness as well. Medium-high carbonation and light body; with a very smooth, crisp, and fairly acidic/tannic/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice Brett saison, All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy/funky yeast, lime/hibiscus, oak, and light pale malt flavors; and very smooth, crisp, and easy to drink with the balanced acidity. A very enjoyable offering.
3.6 750ml, caged and corked bottle. Poured an orange / amber color with a small sized head. Some fruits, citrus, brett, funkiness, and yeast. Somewhat on the softer and subtle side.
3.9 Hazy pinkish orange in color... Grapefruit if that's a color... Aroma of grapefruit skin, citrus, oak, hibiscus, lime... Flavor is grapefruit, citrus, Brett, oak, lime, hibiscus, floral and grassy bitterness on palate... Light tartness, really sessionable
3.6 cloudy red orange, small white bubbly head. fruity to almost sweet fruity aroma, also some sourness, the fruits appear fresh. flavor is bretty, alc. bitter, grapefruit bitter, the lime and the hibiscus add some fruit and herbal notes, it’s very well composed but i don’t fancy the taste much. The beer is super dry, and the finer sourish nuances in between the dry and bitter is quite nice.
3.8 Pours clear pale golden color with a slight pinkish hue and a white head. Funky and doughy aroma with brett and oak. Flavors of brett and spices with some funk, berry, dough, oak, and a hint of lime. Medium body with moderate carbonation.
3.4 Bottle from Saveur-Biere.com - Color: hazy orange golden blond beer with no carbonation and small white foam. Smell: fruity nose, lime and citrus balanced with brett. Taste: medium body with high sourness and brett attack. Finish fruity with lime and orange notes. Astringent. Aftertaste: fruity, sourness and astringent. Not for me. I didn’t hit the hibiscus.

4.0 Blomsterregn og limejuice! Saison er en disciplin som de færreste mestre, men wow for en skarpskåren succes. Crisp, blomstret, tør og brettet, alt hvad hjertet begærer.
4.0 Rating 3,800 2014 bottle, courtesy of a nice man from Portland, in a location remote of the library. Pours a light orange color with a good head and some nice lacing all over the dang. The aroma is like a really rich funk with brine, wet rock, barnyard & hay. It’s got lemon peel and wood. Honestly it smells like a really good Gueuze at this point, which is not how I remember it smelling last time I cracked one of these guys, so that’s interesting. The flavor is lightly bitter and pretty dang dry while retaining some malt richness. There are some earthy leafy notes to it, some tart strawberry, a bit of multigrain bread and a nice lemony tartness. There is a light floral character to the beer but it’s almost something that (at this point) one would have to look for. Anyway, a really fun beer even with a little bit of age on it.
3.9 Bottle thanks to trade with AkAndy! Pours a hazy golden pink from the cork and cage bomber with fluffy white head that dissipates to leave moderate lace. Aroma of funky brett and big floral undertones. Taste follows, crisp brett qualities, a slight hint of tart citrus. Bubbly carbonation, dry finish, really nice.
