Great Divide Heyday

Great Divide Heyday

HEYDAY is an eminently pleasant Belgian-Style White Ale. Brewed with barley, oats and raw wheat, Heyday is uniquely flavorful for such an easy-drinking ale. With a slightly cloudy appearance and traditional yeast, it is a balanced, agreeable offering. Exuding mild hop bitterness and a nuanced body, this is the easiest decision you’ll make all day.

3.1 I has a light golden to straw color with a minimal white head. The head does produce a bit of lacing. It has an aroma of wheat and spices mixed with a bit of yeast. It has a quality wheat flavor with spices and some yeast flavors. It’s a bit lively with the carbonation as well.
2.8 Bottle. Lemony wheat malt aroma. Clear yellow with a moderate, quickly dissipating white head. Light musty lemony malt flavor, not much else. Light body, moderate carbonation.
3.1 The description on the bottle reads a slightly cloudy beer. It is clear to me. Has a fast dissipating head. Smells a bit of wheat and tartness. Light crisp, a bit of floral bouquet on the tongue. There's light citrus notes and a little bit of wheat also. Finishes is a little drying.
3.6 Tap. Pours clear pale yellow with thick, creamy white head; great lacing. Aroma is wheat, cereal malts, faint banana and lemon notes, and faint spice and grassiness. Flavor is smooth and malty with some light fruit esters, subtle floral hops, and some Belgian yeast esters; great mouth feel with a dry finish. Light/medium body and medium carbonation.
3.4 Draft at Rotolo?s. Pours hazy pale gold with a thick white head and lots of lacing. Tastes like grass, straw, wheat, nutty, hint of honey. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like creamy wheat, grass, lemon, and a hint of lemon.
3.1 Single from total wine. Bordering on Pilsner and very light fruit and wheat flavor for a whit beer. Light yellow color. Light toasty corn aroma. Roasty grain flavor again. Finish is a little fruity. Light citrus.
3.2 Bottle pour. Pours a mostly clear yellow with a white head of foam. Not much retention. The aroma is light and bready with a bit of honey coming through. The taste is sweet, but remains mostly neutral. Light in body. A touch of spice comes through faintly toward the finish. Medium carbonation.
3.2 12 oz bottle from Giant Eagle in Pittsburgh. Dry and somewhat bitter. A lemon aftertaste was noted. Not for me but my wife loved it.
3.1 Mild dirty lemon yellow. Short froth, some lace. Clovy light banana aroma. Light lemon citrus. Slight leathery funk. Tart citrus taste lemon and clove bready malt. light fruit, soft malt. Peppery clove, slight smokey ash.
2.9 12 oz bottle; bottled on 24 June 2014. Pours a very pale gold color, slightly hazy with a modest sized but durable head. Aroma: fruity and yeasty; not bad but unappealing, as is often the case with this style. Flavor: mild; fruity and yeasty with some banana and clove. Light body with medium carbonation. Smooth but a bit watery.
3.6 Bottle at the Blind Monk. Clear light yellow pour with a white head. Light yeasty aromas. Yeasty with floral highlights. Average body and mouthfeel.
3.6 strong yeasty, citrus aroma and taste. Simple, smooth a little lacking, but such a drinkable beer
3.3 Unclear gold with a slight white head. Pleasant aroma. Yeasty. Modestly spiced. Lightly fruity. Bigger light body. Light creaminess. Semi dry finish. Nice.
1.7 355ml bottle. Hazed golden pour. Smell is farty citrus, literally like a bathroom with some citrus scent sprayed around. Flavor is metallic, creamy, citrus. Tastes like an animal trough with poo mixed with food and rainwater. Pretty damn bad brew.
3.3 "Bottled as Heyday wit. Nice n crisp. Distinct from other wits with the malt and yeast used. Really nice flowery citrus notes and light spice on the nose. Light, dry feel. Very refreshing and better than a lot of wits."
3.0 Bottle from Total Wine in Huntington Beach, CA. Pours hazy pale gold with a slight head. Odd yeast/spice aroma. Think some of the usual suspects are missing. Med minus body. Flavor is very washed out. Except for spice the flavor has escaped.
3.1 Average to above average Belgium white, a little bit boring. Lite and a little bit zesty.
3.2 Aroma is citrus and medium/strong coriander. The flavor is citrus, medium coriander, wheat and a tangy/slightly tart finish. A little too much coriander/similar to a lot of imperial wits, not bad but not great.
3.1 From a bottle. Pours a cloudy, light gold and makes a fizzy white head that dissipates quickly. Smells of wheat and cereal, and a bit of lemon and spice. Tastes like a wheat beer, bready and light and citrusy. Not the best if the belgian white ales, but a decent one.
3.0 Draft at the brewery\brewpub in denver. Very cool spot . Light yellow color. No head. Bready wheaty. Decent
2.3 Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle, bottled on June 13, 2014, poured into weizen glass. Pours slightly hazy really pale golden with very little white head. Aroma is light lemon, light body, little carbonation, and little really small bubble lacing. Taste is grain with hints of lemon. Little flavor, tastes like some home brews I have had.
2.9 Bottle from Lazy Dog. Pours a slightly hazy pale gold with a thin layer of off white head. Aroma of wheat with some citrus, but very faint. There’s something else I can’t place that takes away from the aroma. Taste of wheat and bread malts, hints of spice and lemon.
3.6 Hazy golden with rimming white head; aroma is light if any; Flava is light with hints of banana and spice; feels light crisp decent fizz; finishes light slightly tangy and hint of seltzer
2.8 On tap at Brunzies. Light spicy wheat aroma, coriander, grains of paradise, lemon rind. Pale golden-straw clear with no head. Medium body with light carbonation. Starts sweet with coriander, citrus, and wheat. Mild yeast esters and chalky notes. Smooth finish and clean after.
3.2 On tap at Tapwerks. Pours a near clear light yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of wheat, a bit of lemon and sweetness and light spice. Flavor has lots of sweet wheat with some light lemon and spice underlying
2.9 Easy drinkable wheatbeer. Clody golden color. High head. Wheat aroma and taste. Refreshing.
2.0 Poured from 12oz bottle. Smooth and refreshing. Nice mouthfeel with hints of cloves and coriander at the finish. Opens up with a burst of citrus and orange peel. Great beer for a hot day. --you've been Dubbed.
3.0 Poured hazy dark yellow with slight fizzy white head. Aroma yeasty banana. Flavor dry and more of a stale bitter taste with some yeasty notes. Overall fairly plain but drinkable.
1.1 Not good... I absolutely love Belgian ales, and this was a horrific disappointment. I couldn’t tell if it had skunked at first, but apparently that’s just what it tastes like.
4.3 On tap at the brewery April 12th. Pours cloudy yellow with significan head. Aroma of bread dough, key lime pie, slight banana. Moderate carbonation and mouthfeel. Flavors of lemon lime juice, light malts, light hops, minerals and banana. Overall refreshing and complex.
