Great Divide Yeti Imperial Stout - Oatmeal

Great Divide Yeti Imperial Stout - Oatmeal

Much like its legendary predecessors, this Yeti is big, bold and dark.  The addition of rolled oats softens Yeti’s notoriously roasty backbone and the small amount of raisins added in the brew kettle create a unique dark fruit character.  Just as admired as those that came before it, Oatmeal Yeti Imperial Stout is a softer beast.

3.9 Piney hops at the front, and lots of dark, roasty flavors. Coffee is easily discernable. Dry for an imperial stout, not exactly what I was expecting. Very good.
4.2 Bottle, CanBIF. 2015 bottling date. Dark brown. Thin, bubbly head. Rich, fruity, oaty? Well definitely a deep fruity aroma with minerally chocolate notes. Rich and thick. Quite bitter - leafy hops and bitter chocolate, and it hasn’t faded. Rich fruity depths - orchard fruits and raisins alike. Tobacco. Delicious...malt, fruit, oats, hop, chocolate...really good. Loving this one.
4.1 Svart och relativt tjock konsistens. Mörkbrunt tjockt skum. Doftar lätt av rostade toner. Smak av kaffe och choklad, len och fyllig konsistens. Jävligt god!
4.3 27-NOV-2017, bottle @home, from Systembolaget, brought by Erik, thx. :-) Black with a lasting, tan head. Roast, coffee. Quite creamy and soft overall. But not a big sweet monster. Actually not very sweet. Quite some hops. Nice and easy drinking.
5.0 Great taste - very smooth beer despite 10% abv. Hard to find on draft outside Denver metro but it’s unbelievable on draft
4.3 Jet black. Brown head. Intense roasted malt, cocoa, dried fruit aroma and flavors. Full body. Really well integrated on the palate. Appropriate hop bitterness. Great beer.
3.9 Big bottle. Black color with a brown head. Malt biscuit coffee aroma. Bitter coffee biscuit raisin flavor. Heavy body.
4.0 Aroma: roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, some molasses, vanilla, bourbon. Taste: chocolate, roasted malt, some coffee bitterness, bourbon.
4.0 Svart med høyt lys brunt skum. Lukter havre, mørk sjokolade, kakaopulver og noe kaffe. Fyldig. Smaker lakris, mot salmiakk lakris, lett kaffe og kakaobitter. Middels lang.
4.2 355ml bottle from Systembolaget. Black with a dense and creamy khaki/brown head, rich lacing, looks great! Rich roasted barley aroma, coffee, chocolate, hazelnut and hints of licorice. Velvety and creamy smooth mouthfeel, soft carbonation and full bodied. Roasted taste with gentle sweetness from the oats and dried fruits, coffee and chocolate. Rosted cocoa bitterness in the finish. Well balanced and very drinkable!
3.0 4 finger tan head. Pitch black beer. Aroma is coffee, raisins, light caramel, roasted malts, dates, porridge and oats. Taste is raisins, red vinous notes, slight plum and apricot, hint of fruity hops, weak coffee and some burnt, earthy notes. Mouthfeel is velvety smooth but with a hollow, watered down feel, even though the body itself is semi-thick. Medium bitterness. Very low carbonation. No alcohol detected. Overall: I drank this about two weeks ago at a friends house that bought it from the same store I did and it was better overall. This particular one feels watery and bland at times, don't know how that's possible. Where's the heaviness? Feels like a single stout. I love oats and raisins in a beer, but this has an annoying "porridge with raisins" aura around it and I'm not a fan of porridge. Must be something wrong, this isn't up to Great Divide's standard.
4.1 Blackish brown colour with beige head on top leaving small lacing as it dissolves. Aroma has roasted malts, espresso coffee, dark chocolate, oatmeal, dark dried fruits, raisin and plums. Taste starts sweetish dark chocolate then dried fruits with plums and raisins, oatmeal porridge maybe and lots of dry roasted malts. Full body and medium carbonation.
4.0 ADT. Dark brown pour with a full tan head. Roasted malt, dark chocolate, cocoa powder, vanilla, caramel, not so much coffee and not so much sweet. Low carbonation but medium/full body. Rich, smooth roasted finish, delicious.
4.4 A very nice stout, but i was disappointed in the lack of oatmeal in both the aroma and taste. It also had a bland and weak aftertaste, but the overall experience of it as a stout was very pleasant.
3.9 @ Havregatan 20171014. Bottle (330 ml) from Systembolaget. Roasted malty, sweet, notes of dried fruits, chocolate, medium body with an oily texture. The finish is long, bitter and roasted.
4.0 35.5cl bottle. pitch black colour. medium to big dark-ish beige head. roasted malts, raisins, chocolate. medium bitterness with medium carbonation.
3.5 Bottle from Systembolaget. Pitch black with beige head that leaves lacing.Heavily roasted with some vanilla, caramel and coffee. Taste of oats, raisin coffee, quite floral perfume and some citurs. Feels weird and taste is not very well balanced for me.
4.1 Bottle@Tuulensuu, Tampere, Finland. Bold, still soft and with nice sweetish twist. Raisins and oats does just the thing they supposed to. Still, roasted malts, some licorice and coconut can be tasted. The first mentioned dampen the first too much. Balanced with wide taste spectrum. Strong/medium body with low/medium carbonation. Long, sweetish aftertaste with roasted malts and coconut. Overall, distinctive, high quality product. Could have more edge for the percentage.
4.0 650 ml bottle from Systembolaget. APPEARANCE: black with a mocha head. NOSE: moderate aroma of roasted malt, caramel, vanilla, light coffee. TASTE: lightly sweet, lightly bitter aftertaste. MOUTH: medium body, with a very smooth texture.
3.0 Refrigerated brown bomber poured into a glass. Black with small beige. Aroma is dry chocolate, medium body, lower carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is dry chocolate.
4.2 Dark, murky brown, tan head, slippery lace. Nose is chocolate, creamy oats, traces of raisin or roasted dark fruit and coffee. Wonderful full, creamy feel. Complex. Chocolate bars, lacto, coffee..little pops of cherry. It all lingers pleasantly too. Well done.
4.0 Tobacco and dark chocolate, notably smooth. Great lacing but head vanishes quickly. Some fragrance and a coffee colored beer. Strong bitter finish and very drinkable.
3.4 A bit high bitterness and creamy. Average. Carmel burnt one dimensional. Oatmeal decrease hop bite. Not bad but not incredible.
4.1 bomber pours black with thin mocha head aroma of cocoa and roasted malt taste is oats chocolate dark fruit and a nice boozy finish
4.6 Bottle from Jax Beer & Wine in Cumming, GA. Aroma is dark fruits (prunes, figs, cherries), caramel, dark chocolate, boozy raisins, chocolate cherries. Taste is silky smooth with loads of flavor...dark fruits, cherries, dark chocolate, chocolate desserts, cherry liqueur. The Yeti is no joke and this may have been one of my favorite versions so far.
3.8 Bottle - big dark tan foamy head, pitch black color, sweet and roasty malt and boozy aroma and flavor with some notes of dark fruit, smooth finish from those oats, very good overall
