Grebbestad Lunator

Grebbestad Lunator

Lunator är en dubbelbock som bryggmästaren sätter under årets första fullmåne. Ölet jäser i lugn takt och tappas lagom till våren. Lunator har välbalanserad fyllighet med tydlig eftersmak av malt och humletoner. Servera gärna ölet i cognacskupa.

3.4 Creamy aroma full of vanilla, espresso, and chocolates. Taste is sweet, creamy, milk chocolate with vanilla notes.
3.2 (Bottle, 0.33 l - BBE 10/17, from Systembolaget, 20170414) The beer poured dark brown and clear. The foaming was aggressive and the resulting colour was lightly brown. Aroma had caramel, sweetness, malts and sweet chocolate. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, caramel, molasses, excessive sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was ma, sweet and bitter. A way too sweet brew with lightly wine like notes.
3.9 Aroma karamell, malt, plomme. Utseende sort med fuldig beige skum som varer. Smak plomme, malt, lakris, karamell, humle. En kraftig øl, smaksrik, litt fruktighet, sødme. Det kommer endel lakris i ettersmaken ---
2.9 Bottle at home... Dark brown... Small tan head.. Soft sweet toffee fruit nose... Soft sweet toffee fruit.. Light grassy herbal toffee.. Dark brown suger
3.4 Bottle, 7.9%. Sort of dry, dusty aroma. Clear dark brown colour. Disturbingly large tan head, but does not seem infected. The flavour is sweetish, roasted, caramelly, jammy. Has a hint of metal, some brown sugar and dry liquorice. Quite complex for the style, but tastes good.
3.7 Bottle. Pours clear dark copper brown with profuse, stable beige head. Clear aroma of malt and caramel, mwith notes of hops and touches of yeast. Bitter, hoppy flavour with sweetish notes of caramel amlt and touches of roast and yeast. Roasty and caramellush aftertaste. High carbonation. Decent. Has features of an ale, especially in the aroma and the mouthfeel, but this does not make it bad.
3.7 2016 version. Bottle from SB. Black colour with beige head. A: Chocolate, raisins, figs, dark fruit, prunes. Pretty sweet, light bitterness. Light body with creamy texture. Average carbonation.
3.4 Burgundy color. Sweet caramel, figs and raisin aromas with a bread malt base. Flavor is sweet, caramel, malt, dried fruit. Slight bitter and dry finish.
3.4 Flaska systembolaget. Mörkbrun/kopparfärgad vätska. Rostad doft med choklad, frukt och lite kaffe. Maltig och lätt fruktig smak. Kavring, knäck och rostad malt.
2.2 Dark brown colour. Taste a bit strange metallic with sweet licorice at the end. Not so good alone, but very nice with a slice of bread or cake. Then the metalic taste were gone and fruit replaced it. I suggest this one to bread.
2.7 Aroam of licorice, light corn from dms, vanilla, smoke, earthy, fake cherry cough drops. Taste is earthy with a lignering caramel sweetness and licorice notes. A bit boozy. Pointless.
3.7 330ml bottle from Systembolaget. Mahogany brown with a compact, creamy, beige head, leaving rich lacing. Malt aroma, honey, figs, dark syrup. Smooth mouthfeel, medium carbonated, medium-bodied. Taste of malt, rye bread, barley, honey, caramel, maple syrup.
3.2 330ml bottle. Clear dark copper body with a medium slightly tan head. Syrup, spices, dried fruit and some bitterness. Tasty, but surprisingly light bodied with a rather thin mouthfeel.
2.3 Bottle. Brown clear with a red hue. Strange aroma. Smells really corked, old murky woody. Some metallic notes, hints of brown bready malty sweetness. Med bodied, surprisingly easy for this abv. Smooth, nice texture, but again, that strange corked flavour. Im half expecting to get small pieces of a disintegrated cork when drinking. Its either a bad bottle or then this just ages horribly (the bottles a couple years old). Real easy for the abv, but too bad about the flavour. -- bb
3.6 Mørk rødbrun klar med fingerhøyt lys brunt skum. Lukter kandissukker, sjokolade og brent karamell. Smaker tydelig brent karamell og mot salmiakklakris. Medium fylde og lengde.
4.1 Aroma is dominated by rye bread and dark syrup, there is some spicyness in the background as well. Taste is malty, bready a bit sweet but the sweetness is well balanced with the bitterness. The bitterness it self is soft and just act in the background to make the beer balanced. Nice double bock and very well balanced.
2.8 Flaska från systembolaget. Torkade frukter och lite metallisk doft. Ganska tunn kropp, smak av bröd, svaga toner av torkad frukt. Lite för tunn för min smak.
2.9 SB Lund, flaska. Baksirapsliknande som sig bör. Metal rostad känsla. En impstout utan humle.
3.1 330 ml bottle from Systembolaget. Cleark dark mahogny Brown with tanned head. Roasted malty malt and dried fruit. A little grass and gay hops. Dry with medium bitterness and medium carbonation.
3.5 Fine deep amber color with a thick tan head. Ok lacing. Caramel, fruity, plums and mild spiced aroma. Medium + body. Tad sweet and an ok bitterness. Soft carbonation and a bit oily. Lots of caramel, bready, fruity, plums and mild spiced flavor. Nice one. [Bottle from Systembolaget in Grebbestad, Sweden]
3.1 Bottle @ tasting. Aroma is oxidized caramel, some fruits, light liquorice. Flavour is fruity and malty with big caramel. Nice.
3.1 Black-brown body, tan head, spangled lacings. Aroma; caramel malts, candied hops, yellow apple, milk, butter, cocoa. Taste; dark caramel malts, fruits, hops, milk, black chocolate sauce. Normal to solid on palate, soft carbonation. Finishes into black chocolate, warm malts, cocoa notes. Imperial bock. [33cl btl 7.9%abv 18° BB 1/1/16 B@SystemBolaget Storheden]
3.2 August 24, 2014. Bottle, 2014 version. Pours clear dark reddish brown with a small creamy tan head. Aroma is plum, caramel, apple, hard bread. Taste is sweet dried fruits and caramel, light roasted bitterness with spicy and a bit harsh notes. Finish is very light bitter, spicy and astringent. Medium bodied with a thin finish.
3.1 Bottle 330ml. Burnt and bready, great beer for e.g. a rustique goulash. Very good bock! Palate hangs around and is very nice.
4.0 Bottle from Systemet. Vintage 2014. A dark red brown body with light brown head. Sweet malty aroma with dried fruits. Very sweet taste with heavily roasted sugar, dried fruits and a light bitterness. Very nice. Though for me more like a porter.
4.0 33cl bottle from SB. BBE 01/16. Near black, thick light brown head, lasting. Dark bread, syrup, molasses in aroma. Really strong notes of ryebread, lovely. Flavor has rye, molasses, soy sauce, hint of chocolate. Mämmi comes to mind. Quite thin body for this ABV, hides alcohol completely. Excellent brew, really enjoyable.
3.1 Bottle at the DTE tasting, Den Haag. Poured a clear dark brown with a round off white head. The aroma is malt light apple I believe. The flavour is medium sour, light bitter with a veggie resin palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
2.3 Bottle @ DTE tasting shared by dEnk. Thanks? Dark brown color with a red glare coming through, small beige head. Smell and taste malts, leaves, slightly weird and a touch of liquor. Weird, a doppelbock?
