Green Flash Green Bullet

Green Flash Green Bullet

A full-bodied Triple IPA, Green Bullet combines New Zealand grown Pacific Gem and Green Bullet hops. Significant pine and citrus hoppiness hit the palate at first sip, accentuated by tropical notes of mango and pineapple, ending with a moderately aggressive, bitter finish.

4.4 Smells of slight yeast and citrus fruit hop scent. Nice lovely hazy orangish gold color very nice. Taste bite you off with a touch of malt then a water fell followed by a nice hop profile of pineapple peach mango finishing with a Nice a pine resin. Full body beer with nice crisp cardonation. Alchool hiddin nicly for being 10.1 abv. Like what green flash puts out and for being my first real triple Ipa loving it and would drink that again no problem.
3.6 Flaska bishops Örebro. Orange vätska med gulbeiget skum. Kraftfull barrig doft med citrusinslag. Sötklibbig smak med ananas, barr och hö. Alkoholen slår igenom till viss del. Besk avslutning
4.1 22 Oz: Slight haze with great color, head and lace. Very fresh aromatic aroma. Tropical and stone fruit. Hops over malt but balanced. Palate is massive however it is also balanced. Love this beer. Massive but balanced and fresh. Well done.
3.8 Clear, amber colored, small off white head, nice lacing, good lasting. Aroma is caramalt, tropical fruits, some pine, citrus, resin. Taste is medium+ sweet caramel malt background, tropical fruits, citrus and pine hops, medium+ aroma and strong bitterness, lasting bitter aftertaste, dry finish, some alcohol in the finish and a warming touch. Full- bodied, soft carbonation, resiny. (bottle, Bierhalle Deconinck, Vichte)
4.0 Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; hazy amber pour with a frothy beige head, aroma has fresh pine and clementine, taste consists of bitter grapefruit, assertive pine, big IBUs, citrus, impressive,
4.6 Aromas of pine, citrus, dank, slight tropical notes. Cloudy copper with thick white head. Delicious hop flavor, sweet tea, fruity aftertaste. Carbonation married well with bitterness and alcohol.
4.3 Bottle at Billie’s Bier Kafétaria in Antwerp. Snow white, dense, moussy, stable and lacing head over a hazy orangey golden coloured beer. Lovely DIPA aroma of pink grapefruit flesh, tangerine, papaja, paprika, toasted onion, sundried tomato, white pepper, cigarette tobacco, fried chicken, raw celery, hemp, toasted brown bread. Crisp onset of orange, pineapple and mango, sweet but in a clean way and paired with soft sourish and umami flavours for balance, medium carbo, thick caramelly malt body, smooth, biscuity with a toasted edge, beautifully supporting a rich, aromatic hop character unfolding in the finish, long, drying, very deeply bittering to the point where it becomes almost a bit ’abrasive’ so this a treat for hopheads, but not for the less experienced beer drinkers, I guess... Retronasal citrus and pine aromas and a dash of warming, whisky-like alcohol bring an end to this symphony of flavours. Certainly among the better DIPAs I had so far.
4.1 Tap at the Bridgetown Tavern in Ambridge, PA. Immediate tastes of heavy hops with an arid feel all the way down. The high alcohol is a plus.
4.0 A bit too much. Very hoppy and VERY bitter. Quality beer but a bit too harsh..........
3.3 Light yellow pour. Crisp, citrus flavor woth a smooth body. Really light for session ipa.
4.1 Rating #1458 03.02.2014 - On tap @revolutionyeg HopFest 2015. Clear golden pour with a bubbly white foam, spotty lacing. Citrusy sweet, mango, pineapple, punchbowl fruitiness on the nose.. Mouthfeel crisp, ,medium alcohol warmth, low-medium carbonation. Taste is sweet orangey notes, tropical fruit, and an assertive bitter kick in the teeth.
3.7 This is a strong beer. Slightly bitter aftertaste. Its good. I'm not a pro rater. Couple of these in a ski lodge when warming up maybe.
3.4 Very strong hop and malt aroma, nice cloudy dark golden color. A little bit of hop on the initial taste, but it quickly fades to malt and alcohol through the after taste. Has a very malty flavor after. Want to see how this opens as it warms up
3.3 Bottle@home, from Wine Spot, Cleveland, USA. Medium/strong slightly pungent aroma of bit sweet pine, alcohol and a hint of tropical fruits. Copper color with small white head and slightly hazy liquid. Strong taste of mango, pine, citrus and alcohol. Special hops come out nicely in balanced taste. Medium taste spectrum and long citrus and hoppy aftertaste. Medium palate with medium carbonation. Overall, well performing special DIPA with bit too much alcohol in aroma and in taste.
4.0 murky gold with a large white head. nose is a big floral IPA with a touch of earthiness and cherries. Flavor is a big burst of hops with a sweet big malt quickly balancing it out. backside is bitter and sticky. good stuff
4.4 Poured from a couple of four packs I had tried this beer at howell and hood like a year ago but I had drunk so much i didn’t remember it so I’ve been seeking it out lately and i happened upon a couple of 4 packs at Binny’s evergreen. Sticky, creamy, hoppy (not to mention smitty), piney, strong, and some new dwarves tropical and juicy. This was worth the wait and all the places I went to that said they had this and didn’t.
3.6 No retention and light lacing. Smells of pine, flowers and citrus. Tastes of pine, citrus fruits and hop resin. Semi-bitter aftertaste.
4.0 Pours a cloudy, deep golden orange color with dark golden yellow edges and a one finger, frothy white head that very slowly settles into a lasting ring. Very good retention with streaks of lacing left behind. Very dank and floral hop aroma with some grassy, earthy pine and a nice tropical/citrus fruit presence countered by a sweet malt backbone. Resinous oils along with hints of kind bud, fresh cut grass and pine needle followed by grapefruit, mango and orange peel. Some sweet caramel malt along with toffee, biscuit and graham cracker. Malts are subtle however and don’t at all interfere with the hop character. Medium body with a blast of dry hop bitterness that lingers over tropical/citrus fruit and caramel malt sweetness into a bone dry finish. Complex hop profile with dry, earthy bitterness and resinous oil/pine needle flavor followed by juicy tropical and citrus fruit sweetness. Strong grapefruit, pineapple, mango and orange zest character balancing things out with much needed sweetness. Sweet caramel malt backbone with honts of toffee, biscuit, hazelnut and slight dark fruit notes. Some alcohol heat in the finish but overall the high ABV is decently masked. In these high ABV triple IPAs the alcohol/ethanol flavored often kills off the hops but it’s nicely integrated into the finish of this beer. Complex, flavorful and decently drinkable for it’s strength. A touch too malty for my liking but still a very solid beer.
4.7 Copper, mid amber colour. Weedy aroma, floral but oddly bubblegummy sweet. Sticky, resinous palate, perfect carbonation for strong IPA to cut through hop bitterness. Some caramel notes from malt and slightly heavier body than average strong IPA. Great.
4.7 Dark copper/gold pour. Aroma is beautiful pine, an array of citrus, mango. Heavily dry hopped. Medium to full bodied, mild carbonation. Bitter bight, resin, sticky. The type of in your face IPA that I love. Darn near perfect.
3.5 Bottle from We Brought Beer, London - UK. Color: clear golden blond beer with medium carbonation and medium white foam. Smell: high resin hops. Pine and grassy notes. Caramel. Taste: medium body with high sweet caramel taste. High resin hops. Notes of caramel. Alcohol finish. Aftertaste: resin and high dry bitterness. Very intrusive resin finish. Alcohol finish.
4.8 Hop bomb! Citrus pine fruit bouquet of aroma. Served in a goblet, feel like I’m drinking a tropical drink. Huge punch of bitterness at first sip. Full bodied with a fruity aftertaste
3.5 Draft at Fishale. Murky gold pour with a head that lasts forever. Aroma of sweet, sticky hops. Good bitterness with a sweet kick and a little booze. Finished with grapefruit juice bitterness. Fine.
3.4 Pours a deep goldish orange with a tiny white head. First impression of the nose is very Belgian, like Westmalle Tripel or Duvel Triple Hop. Good yeast character with some mango and pineapple present. Boozy on the nose as well. Alcohol stands out pretty clearly on the palate. Quite a lot of bitterness that is noticeable on the finish. A big, bold beer with a high ABV that doesn’t necessarily come together perfectly.
3.4 Thanks to willisread for sharing the bottle! Poured into a taster showing translucent dark honey and amber tones with a thin ring of clean white foam. The nose shows deep sweet nose close to a Belgian ale. The palate is well carbonated and full bodied. Flavors of subtle malts and barely perceivable hints of mango and pineapple but a strong biting IPA bitterness that reaches its apex on the finish. A lot of finish on the linger but good hints of mango also.
3.5 Bottle from Bottle Baron. Hazy golden body with a medium off-white head. Steady carbonation. Aroma of melon rind, lime chutney and peppery earth. Flavour of honey, menthol, alcohol burn and lime sweets. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. Intensely bitter, which I usually like, however I found this quite heavy going.
2.9 Pretty aggressive. Boozy mouthfeel with pine and citrus hop flavor. Finished boozy and strong.
4.0 Bottle at Örebro Ölcafé. Hoppy smell with citrus and a malty backbone that made me think of cookies. Lots of hops in the taste, powerfull and long bitterness.
3.4 Bronze pour with white head. Hop and malty alcohol nose. Almost an alcohol punch to the face with malt finish. Its big and not for the beginner.
4.1 Aromas of hops some malty caramel and some fresh citrus. Bubbly off white head and murky orange body. Flavors of fresh lemon zest and hop bitterness with a grassy floral finish. Smooth and crisp on the palate.
