3.7 Took some work to get 12 oz can into pint glass. Lots and lots of head. Hazy yellow color. Good head retention, okay lacing. Aroma is amazingly fruity. Smells great, almost unlike beer. Mango, tropical fruits (passion fruit), just about any tropical fruits you can imagine are in this. No hops. If anything, light tartness in aroma, breaks up sweetness. All that, and some wheat malt backbone. Taste is light tart at start. Then becomes sweet and tropical. It's fresh, it's fruity. Continues light tart throughout. Lots of sweet tropical fruit, and tart also. Mouthfeel is light. Nice carbonation. It's soft and wet. Kinda like biting into a fresh tropical fruit of your choice. Overall, is it a good beer....not so much. But it is delicious, and it is highly drinkable. Lots of flavor, lots of fruity stuff. Very enjoyable, although it's nothing memorable. I'd drink it again, buy it again. I might or might not recommend it, depending on the person.
3.0 Fruity but watery. Hardly tastes like beer... Oh sorry Wheat Ale
3.7 Aroma is tart, citrus and field berries. Tastes is a light funk and earthy body fairly well balanced. A fair bit of funk but it mellows out nicely.
3.6 Plenty of passionfruit in the aroma, along with a bit of spiciness. The taste is tart, with lemon, more passionfruit and spices and even a bit of saltiness.
3.4 Taster pour at Craft Brew Race New Haven. Appearance is clear, dark yellow/light brown, light sparkle, finger-width head, small lacing. Aroma is strong, sweet passion fruit. Taste is not as delicious as the aroma as the tart aspects of the passion fruit overpower the sweet. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with thin texture, soft carbonation and more tart than sweet finish. Overall, this is true to the nature of the passion fruit and I appreciate the mix of tart and sweet, but could have used a little more sweetness for my taste.
3.4 Can. Poured hazy yellow color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate fruit and yeast aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium fruit sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met.
3.4 Aroma: passion fruit, wheat, banana Taste: well balanced flavor of wheat beer from the start. Passion fruit moderste intensity in the middle and increases towards the aftertaste Easy drinkable
3.5 Hazy straw. Medium body, smooth texture, intense flavors, rich but lively mouthfeel, nicely carbonated, average length. Moderately bittersweet, refreshing in acidity. Fruity, resiny, floral. Delicious, interesting character.
3.3 From a can poured a straw color with a small amount of head. Light malty flavor with a fruity finish.
3.0 On draft at iTap Kansas City. Aroma 6/10: slightly bready and sour in the nose, not necessarily in a fresh way. Appearance 3/5:,hazy golden with little to moderate he'd retention, but still pretty served in a tall hef glass Palate 4 /5: solid carbonation, full mouthfeel. You definitely feel like you ate tasting this beer. Taste 6/10: I'm a little torn on this beer. I like the mouthfeel a little too, its wheaty and there's a nice fruity tartness. But that tartness turns into a sour, almost overly ferment, off flavor as it sits on the palate. Overall 13/20: finishes a tad too tart and not so good funky to me. The passion fruit ends up feeling a little rotten, which lowers this rating for me. Final: 3.2/10
3.7 This is good... assuming you like passion fruit. Slight tartness in the finish, but clearly not a sour beer.
3.5 The passion fruit is more noticeable in the bouquet, rather than the taste. Refreshing for Summer nonetheless.
3.2 Hazy golden with white head. Fruity aroma. Wheaty and fruity, not tart as advertised. Pretty good.
2.4 Tang and zest aroma of mango, passionfruit, wheat and water. Nice tropical fruit flavor. Very mango, papaya, passionfruit I guess, I’ve never eaten it plain. Residue, metal, wheat finish. Not really my thing but it’s creative and not the usual fruity beer.
3.5 Light, fruity aroma. Pours a hazy straw with a white head. Refreshing light tartness balanced out by wheat sweetness. Crisp flavor, with a mild lingering sour finish. Light bodied, easy drinking, a good summer beer.
3.4 Green Flash Passion Fruit Kicker (2016) Can 355ml at home, served into a shaker, ABV 5.5% Pale orange colour on the body, mostly clear, with a small and thin white head on top. Aroma of wheat, passionfruit, tropical fruits. Taste has passionfruit, dried grass, wheat, kind of yeasty too, orange and tangerine on the finish. Medium thin body. Good one.
2.4 Best by July 19th stamped clearly on the bottom rim of the can. Hazy straw yellow orange colour, big but short lived head of foam. No lacing. Big fruity nose of passion fruit, wheat, yeast. I Cannot tell if this is going to be tart by smelling it. Taste is wheat, biscuit, fruity, yes, but ever so slightly tart. Good and all but I was hoping for more. I reckon the smell was a portend of what was to come. Good enough brew but not one that I have a desire to revisit.
3.1 My wife tried it. Fragrant and looks nice enough , slightly cloudy lemon yellow with a nice head, but the sweet sour taste was not her favorite. Really a fruit drink with some malt in it. Not a fan.
3.7 This beer is another pretty good one from ol reliable Green Flash. It pours a nice cloudy hazy orange and the nose is a pleasant mango sweet passion fruit thing. The flavor is remarkably smooth, while also bring some sourness and a strong wave of passion fruit all over the place. It’s very good, but doesn’t quite have the complexity to kick it to the next level, some stronger yeast or medium funkiness would have been nice. Still, it’s worth checking out if it sounds appealing. Good for pre-gaming before seeing an old jazz dude from free while your hands are still stained with the torta from dinner.
3.3 Cloudy medium yellow, quick white head. Nose is very floral. Nice medium mouthfeel. Middle is little sweet (old bubble gum from Topps baseball card packs), some light wheat, and a vague fruity/floral character. Finish is tangy. Different.
3.4 From tap. Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is solid passion fruity. Sweet and tropical. Sweet, citric and solid fruity. Lingering fruity and mellow fruity far finish.
3.2 Draft sample. The beer is a clear gold with a white head of foam. The aroma is fruity and juicy. Taste is sweet passion fruit juice. Fairly sweet beer. Medium body and medium carbonation.
2.8 Hazy golden color with a small, white head that left light lacing on the glass. Passion fruit, wheat, citrus, fruity finish.
2.2 Bottle. Pours a dark lemon golden pour with an ephemeral white head. Nose is mild fruit with rain her heavy over the top grain. Taste is very grainy interspersed with some tart fruit. Finishes on the strong wheaty notes laced with the bitter fruit. Ugh, just not for me. Quaff Score 5 / 10
3.5 Bottle. Yellow body with just a bit of haze. Poured with a huge white head that left immediately. Aroma of passion fruit, citrus, melon The flavor is light and fruity Passion fruit predominates. Lightly sweet, then lightly tart, then a soft dry finish. .
3.4 355ml can at home on 19 Mar 2017, from Drygate Bottle Shop, Glasgow, floral, passion fruit aroma, cloudy golden with a short-lived lively head, tart passion fruit flavour, initial sourness, powdery, fruity aftertaste.
2.8 Hazy pale with a very thick head. Fairly pronounced passionfruit aroma. Light body...thin actually...vague passionfruit but the malts just sort of disappear.
3.3 Hazy orange pour from high line. Strong passion fruit notes durr..., acidic wheat and malt
3.3 Draught at the brewery. Pours hazy orange with a medium, frothy white head, short retention with light lacing. Aroma is heavy passion fruit with cracker malt. Flavor is juicy passion fruit, lightly tart with cracker malt and a dry finish. Medium-light body and medium carbonation.
3.4 Tap. Pours hazy gold. Aroma and flavor are big passion fruit, pale malt, light toast, and some floral notes. Light/medium body.
