Green Flash Tangerine Soul Style IPA

Green Flash Tangerine Soul Style IPA

Enoy a SoCal summer year round with Tangerine Soul Style IPA. This delectable brew is a one-way ticket to taste bud paradise. Relax and take in the brilliant golden orange color and fresh aroma of effervescent tangerine and orange. Tangerine zest carries throughout, accented by bright, flowery tropical flavors and a sweet finish. Brewed with American caramel malts and a blend of Simcoe, Citra and Cascade hops, this is a beautiful brew to behold.

3.4 12 oz bottle. Pours unfiltered orange in color. Aroma of orange peel, lemon zest, hint of grass. Flavor of orange, citrus, spruce. Has a nice bitterness in the middle of citrus peel and a sweeter finish.
3.5 Fles. Mooi schuim.
4.7 100% one of the nicest beers in any category I have ever tried. Bottle from Valhalla’s Goat (prev tried on keg at Hanging Bat). The aroma of tangerine has a more delicate citrus aroma than any other citrus fruit. Lovely and sweet. Pours vibrant orange, interplay of citrus, sweet and taste of tangerine masks hops beautifully until halfway through the gulp.
3.4 I am liking the influx a tangerine, pineapple etc.. especially when down well like this example from Green Flash. Great IPA with nice citrus hops enhanced by a slightly sweet tangerine/orange hit. Quite easy to drink.
3.8 Appearance- vivid amber, quite a lot of sediment, a thick, foamy off-white head. Aroma- orange, fruit juice, tangerine, freshly-squeezed orange juice. Taste- bitter orange, hops, rough malt, pithy tangerine, tropical fruit, grapefruit, watermelon, undercurrent of sweet malt. Clingy bitter finish, fairly full mouthfeel. Good, tangerine-dominated.
3.8 Bottle from Total Wine. I really like this one. Pours a hazy marmalade orange. Deep aromas of tropical fruit punch. Rich flavours of hops & mandarin orange peel. Nice backsplash of orange juice. Really good.
3.5 355ml bottle shared with mother at home on 26 Feb 2017, from Good Spirits Company, West Nile Street, Glasgow, orange, toffee aroma, murky golden amber with a huge foamy cream head, tangerine, toffee flavours, not too fizzy, sharp citrus finish.
3.7 On tap at Green Flash, Mira Mesa. Hazy golden with a white head. On the sweet side with tangerine, citrus, some malt and hints of caramel. Kind of easy to drink with a medium bitter finish.
3.5 Tap. Pours mostly clear dark amber. Aroma and flavor are tangerine, bready and pale malt some, faint toast, floral notes, soft citrus, and faint caramel. Medium body.
3.6 Draught at the brewery. Pours clear amber with a medium, creamy white head, long retention with excellent lacing. Aroma is moderate tangerine, biscuit and caramel malt with pine and resin hops. Flavor is heavy tangerine, bitter citrus and resin hops with caramel and biscuit malt and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.
3.3 strong tangerine aroma. golden and hazy in color with nice long lasting head. taste is hop forward. strong citrus notes, faint lighter caramel malt notes. finishes clean.
3.6 Bottle shared at Murphy’s Law. Near clear golden orange with a white head. Aroma of fruity hops, malt, citrus, tangerine. Flavour is above light sweet and moderate bitter. Light medium bodied with soft carbonation.
3.4 33cl bottle shared with kermis at Murphys law. Thin white head. Tangerine aroma. Very hazy golden pour. Nice bitterness.
3.3 Bottle bought in San Francisco. Hazy orange-gold with a thin head and aromas of satsuma and and a little caramel. Initial flash of sweetness followed by a potent and slightly harsh herbal and citrus pith bitterness.
3.4 Pleasant but mild orange hops aroma, pale and golden malts. Drinks easily, nice hubble, not quite as bitter as my personal flavour would go, but well done brew. (On tap at The Pint Shop)
3.4 Bottle from Beer Gonzo, as part of my Advent Calendar. Hazy amber colour, with a white head. Aroma has tangerine bitter pith. Taste light citrus sweet to long and bitter finish.
3.6 Slightly hazy golden under a thin foamy top. Bright earthy sweet tangerine nose with a grassy hop undertone. Brisk and citrusy tangerine flavor with mild earthy bitterness and a certain subtle candy sweetness that lingers a little at the end. Bitter but tangerine-ish.
3.5 330ml bottle @ Chez Sophie. Pours hazy amber, large white head. Aroma is of a freshly broken tangerine skin. Taste bears more of this, although seems overshadowed by a lot of simcoe, citra and caramel notes. Ok but a bit harsh and overly flavoursome.
4.1 Bottle at home. Pours deep orange colour with a thin white head. Huge tangerine/orange flavours. Refreshing tropical hops are well balanced by the sweet caramel malts. Lovely.
3.5 Bottle. Pours hazed orange with a white head. Pithy citrus, light juicy zest, moderate bitterness, some orange peel oil, and a pithy citric finish. Pretty good.
3.3 BEH.This isnt that great, Green flash has really gotten shitty. Manufactured ipa taste, very light tangerine syrup flavoring. I picture ACME tangerine artificial flavoring dropped into the yugggee vats. BORING!
4.1 Visual: Pours a deep tangerine orange with suspended sediment, a lasting super creamy 1mm head, half sticky lacing, lots of activity. Nose: faint citrus hops, tangerine juice. (lvl-5)-pungency Attack: crisp bite, smooth entry Mid-palate: fine CO2, (lvl-4-sweetness), bright tangerine zest, clean citrusy barley malt Finish: tangerine peel oil exhale, soft bitter hops Summary: Wow, such a balanced and fragrant IPA. The tangerine zest adds a very clean and flavourful boost to the existing citrus notes from the hops. A grade higher than the original Soul Style and something I would definitely drink again.
3.5 Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; cloudy golden amber pour with a thin off white head, aroma has distinctive tangerine and some hints of caramel, taste has mostly tangerine, hint of grapefruit, watery malts, a bit fake and forced in the tangerine direction.
4.1 A nice clean IPA. Plenty of tha tangerine which I like. I also really enjoy the original. It’s fall in MN this would probably be better on a beach in the summer.
3.9 12fl oz bottle at home from FirmaBier. Nose is tangerine. Body is opalescent orange, head is big, offwhite, frothy, mostly lasting, good lacing. Aroma is tangerine, honey, tropical fruits, tea. Medium sweet, light bitter, medium citric sour. Finish is medium lasting hoppy medium bitter. Medium body, soapy texture, average carbonation. Easy fruity beer, interesting, nice one.
2.4 Very bitter drink, like eating tangerine pith. Not one I would have again. (K)
3.5 Bottle, The Offie, Leicester. Golden orange with an off white head. Orange syrup with grapefruit. Resinous with herbal notes. Tangerine. Citrus rind bitterness.
3.6 Bottle from Hops and Crafts Exeter. Pours slightly hazy gold with a thick slightly off white head. Aroma intense Tangerine & some Grapefruit plus some bread notes. Taste is massive tangerine, biscuit & bread not as well balanced as some fruit based beers . Medium bodied bitter ,pithy, scraping bitterness/dryness ,loads more tangerine in the finish ,rather than balancing the beer ,it’s seems to overkill it .
4.0 12oz bottle @ Slurping Turtle Chicago. Cloudy orange brown, good head. Big hoppy aroma. Orange hop flavour. Bitter orange aftertaste. A very orange and good IPA.
