Green Flash Trippel

Green Flash Trippel

Rich pale malt flavors provide a solid base for zesty Styrian Golding and Czech Saaz hopping. Trappist ale yeast contributes the fruity, spicy profile of classic, monk-brewed, Belgian ales. Our Trippel is luscious, fiery, golden brew and a contemporary rendition of traditional Belgian Trippel.

3.6 Vanilla nose. Deep orange color. Fluffy low head. Apple juice taste in the body with a spicy end. Fruity orange and corriander end. A little sweet but good.
3.7 Hazy deep dark orange with a small layer of a head on top. Grapefruit and oranges as well as a tinge of cilantro in the nose. Sweet, grapefruit and banana taste, very rich and chewy. Full bodied.
3.6 February 12, 2015. Bottle at home. Light hazy dark golden with a dense medium sized white head. Aroma is sweet malty, fruity and phenolic with marzipan, apples, citrus, spices ,alcohol. 3.0 Rating from June 2011....Pours a deep orange with a flat head...smells boozy and sweet....can defiantly detect the age here....its mellow---nothing special , but a good trippel...I forget how old it actually is...I think its been in the rack a year and a half....a little metal on the sniff
3.9 Golden amber body and stable head. Sweet pale malts, compote, yellow fermenting fruit, funky, light spice, Belgian yeast is very apparent. Drinks well, appropriate high carbonation. One of the few really good Belgian style beers I’ve had. Excellent quality and still interesting without being a (too) modern interpretation. Excellent job! (Bottle from Saveur Bière)
3.3 Pours from bomber a golden blonde with a small, white head. Aroma is hugely yeasty and spicy like a banana nut bread without the banana. Some marzipan, fresh cut grass and rotting peaches. Flavour of citrus fruits, light spices, more honey, orange peel, yeast, and a fair amount of alcohol in the finish.
3.4 Taster... Pale golden pour with thin white head... Fresh bread and Belgian yeast... Smooth sweet finish... Nice tripel..,
4.3 161014. Bottle at home, bottle about 2y old . Pours clear golden with a nice head. Aroma spices, floral notes, Belgian yeast. Really nice stuff.
3.7 "Solid tripel, and reasonably priced (as all GF brews) at that. Fruit and spice at the forefront, a touch of alcohol, and a smooth dry spicy finish. Not too shabby..."
3.8 Transfer from BA review on 8-10-13- Poured from bottle into a chalice glass Appearance – The beer pours a moderately hazy orange amber color with a one finger just off white head. The foamy head has a great level of retention, very slowly fading, with it as it fades, leaving a fantastic foamy lace on the sides of the glass. Smell- The aroma is very heavy of banana, yeast and spice of coriander and clove. It has a drier smell overall for a triple with less sweeter smells of citrus and sugar. While it is drier overall, it does have some aromas of a lighter sweetness being of the more classic smells of orange and a bit of candied sugar. Along with these aromas is a cracker malt smell which, all in all, adds nicely to the drier yeast aromas of the brew. Taste –The taste starts with a biscuit and cracker flavor mixed with lots of banana upfront. As the taste advances it begins sweetening and gets more flavors of yeast as well. The sweeter flavors are mainly of a citrus and apricot nature, but contain a little bit of a candied sugar taste as well. The yeast, as it comes to the tongue, brings with it spice or clove and a bit of coriander. The maltier flavors lose strength toward the end, while the sweeter and yeastier flavors grow stronger. At the end, a alcohol taste as well as lemon and a little bit of a grassy and hay-like tart flavor come to the tongue, to in the end leave a warming but crisp and drier triple flavor on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is on the average to maybe slightly above average side for a triple of its strength with a carbonation level that is on the slightly lower side. A bit more carbonation may have been slightly better for the triple nature and flavors of the brew, but all in all it was pretty decent. Overall – A rather nice drinking triple that starts out drier and gets sweeter and boozier but also smoother more toward the end. It is a rather nice brew overall and a nice one to try.
3.2 Bottle. Golden clear. Belgy yeast, orange zest, creamy malts, caramels. Soft body. Creamy corny malts, some hopsies. Oranges. Flavourful, but a bit too cream malty, bit hot too. Glad to have met, but could not do more than this. -- bb
2.9 pale to medium orange color, hazy, head is off-white. aroma is citrusy, a hint of alcohol, sugary malts. flavor is a little citrusy, fairly spicy, with even more alcohol present than in the aroma. not really a fan.
3.9 A good tripel with new influences, I believe I tasted a small hint of brett in the beer.
3.5 650 ml bottle. Hazy light amber with white head. Smell is spicy and fruity with banana hay and belgian yeast. Taste is fruity sweet banana, hay, spices, orange and some warming alcohol. Medium bitterness and high carbonation.
4.0 Bottle from systembolaget. Fresh smell, fruity with apples. Similar taste, light spicy. Low carbonation. Well hidden alcohol. Very nice tripel.
3.5 Aroma is spicy yeast, earthiness and citrus zest/peel. The flavor is citrus/orange, spices, mild hops and a mix of alcohol and malts in the finish.
3.6 Bottled: Pours deep amber with a small head. Aroma is red apples and cider. Tastes red, ripe apples, brown sugar, caramel and yeast. Bitter finish. Taste more like a Dubbel than a Trippel.
3.5 A golden beer with a medium and blond head. The aroma is strongly fruitfull, mandarin, bananas and even overcooked bananas, only hint of spices. Taste has strong fruitness, bananas, spices. Power of alcohol can be noticed. Medium bodied, mild carbonation. Difficult beer to rate, there are nothing wrong in this beer but something final glory is missing.
4.0 Smak och doft av humle, malt, honung, aprikos, citrus, örter, trä med toner av banan, päron och äpple. Mycket fruktig, lagom sötma, rund och len med fin citrusbeska.
4.1 To start with the head produces a big fluffy and creamy foam head which is bright white in color. It slowly fades to a thin covering which hangs on till the end and leaves some splotchy lace on the glass. Under the head sits a hazy, honey amber colored liquid full of yeast floaters that hang in suspension. Its aroma is fruity and yeasty with notes of banana and plain white bread. Up front are the classic notes of funky Belgian yeast. It’s fruity, earthy and bready with a touch of spice. Banana is the stand out fruity note along with a touch of apple. Alcohol is present here but mellow and adds some warmth. The sweetness and fruitiness hits its peek in the middle before the hops move in and adds there dry earthy/leafy notes and mild bitterness to the finish. The body has a solid medium feel with plenty of carbonation.
3.5 Pours a hazy amber body with a thin head. Lightly funky aroma. Nice taste with a not so nice finish.
3.6 Viss jästighet i aromen och smaken, alkoholen skiner igen lite. Annars balanserad och aningen kryddig smak, Kroppen är len och tjock.
3.0 Pours a slightly cloudy golden color with white head. Yeast, spice, and raw wheat on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with sweetness.
3.9 Bottle. Pours golden with a medium white head that hangs around. The aroma is of haybarn and Light hops. Flavor is mildly sweet, moderately alcoholic. Low bitterness but very little lingering sweetness either. The finish is nice and yeasty. A true to style trippel. Excellent.
3.5 Bottle (65 cl) from Systembolaget. Clear deep golden, medium white head. Sugary malt aroma, some alcohol and pear. Medium bodied, medium carbonation. Semi sweet, alcoholic bittterness.
3.9 Det här var inte alls dumt, smaken var tung med tydligt fruktiga och kryddiga inslag. Kroppen var riktigt stabil och balansen finjusterad, slutsats; riktigt bra öl.
3.6 650ml brown bottle, poured into a Tulip glass. Appearance is cloudy straw colored with yeast floaties and a medium sized beige head, that reduced quickly leaving no lacing. Aroma of orange peels, dried apricots, lemon zest, banana and pears. Flavour of orange peels, lemon zest, banana, pears, dried apricots, wheat bread, spices, processed sugar and a hint of alcohol. Taste is light-medium sweet and medium bitter. Palate is medium bodied, smooth texture and average carbonation. Overall a great non Belgian Trippel but slightly too sweet, not as crisp as the classic Belgian brews.
