4.0 Deze Grimbergen is een echt winters zeer donker bruin bier. Heerlijke aroma, zoetige smaak en lichte gebrande toets.

2.9 Voor een winterbier niet slecht. Anders dan andere commerciële brouwerijen is deze niet overwegend zoet of Kanelig, maar erg spannend issie ook niet.

3.1 Copenhagen 28/12 2018. 33 cl bottle from Ølhandleren in Give. A Phoenix on the label in a Silver version of Grimbergens usual design. Pours clear, dark brown with a red hue and a medium-sized off-white head. Settles as 0,5 cm thick layer of foam crawling up the side of the glass. Substantial lacing. Aroma is surprisingly subdued. Sweet with caramel, brown sugar and light metallic odor of alcohol. Medium carbonation. Slightly thick, very lively yet creamy texture. Flavor is fairly sweet followed by a medium bitterness. Aftertaste is lightly bitter with a little sweetness chiming in. Lingers for a bit.

2.7 Malty, caramel sweetness, cloves very present. Much too sweet in fact. Not a beer to drink moŕe than one of.

4.4 Great body and taste. A little alcholich. Beautiful color. Foam very persistent.

3.6 W zapachu klasyczny BSA, ale smak bardzo zaskakuje. Dużo świeżych śliwek, słodkich czereśni, lekki karmel, wyraźna warstwa słodowa, lekka guma balonowa.

3.3 Bottled. A nut brown beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes malt, caramel, and dried fruits, leading to a bitter finish.

2.9 Bottle@Tuesday Bottle share - dark Amber reddish pour with off white head. Sweet and toasted malty with some caramel and fudge notes, medium body, some brown sugar, some weird veg notes going on, sweet malty close.

3.2 33 cl. bottle. A dark brown coloured beer with an off-white head. Aroma and flavour of malt, caramel, hops, spice, yeast and with a bitter finish.

3.3 Fles gekregen van Inoven. Het is een helder donkerbruin bier met een medium schuimkraag. Het heeft een fruitige en moutige aroma en smaak met een licht kruidige afdronk.

4.2 Caramel, cinnamon flavours giving it a spicy sweetness that makes it a perfect winter beer. Relatively full bodied, moderately thick texture, strong tastes. Nothing to complain about here.

3.0 Van 't vat. Donker robijnrood bier met écru schuimkraag. Geur: ijzer! Mout, licht bitter. Smaak: licht zoet, mout, kandijsuiker. Medium koolzuurprikkel.

2.9 Niet echt overtuigt, maar wellicht komt dat ook door de verkoudheid. Beetje flets met weinig smaak

2.9 N'attendez pas que cette Grimbergen Winter vous réchauffe par ces temps d'hiver...loin de là. Bière décevante qui manque d'intérêt gustatif, de présence en bouche et où l'alcool n'est pas à son top pour une bière du genre (6,5 % Abv, ne structurant pas spécialement la bière et ne conférant aucune puissance ni chaleur). En verre, on est dans le correct, brun parfaitement limpide (EBC aux environs de 39), aux reflets rubis foncé avec cependant une mousse blanc cassée n'arrivant pas à nappant la surface en son entier. Le nez n'est pas des plus intenses, mais celui-ci met plutôt en confiance : caramel, candy, pruneau, raisin et épices s'allient de façon plutôt agréable (sans être exceptionnel tout de même). A la dégustation, on déchante tout de même. L'attaque n'a que très peu de présence, sur un ressenti plutôt aqueux sur des arômes peu intenses de caramel, de candi (et encore moins intenses de prunes et d'épices). Où est la chaleur et le côté suave qui doivent accompagner toute bière hivernale qui se respecte? Mystère. Le sucre ressort en plus de façon assez net (l'impression de sucre, ce dernier n'étant à priori pas réellement surdosé, amis avec un alcool aux abonnés absent....). La deuxième bouche s'intensifie quelque peu mais cela reste toujours très "liquide". Le malt est tout de même un peu plus présent. L'arrière bouche, peu ample, reprend quasiment l'attaque. La troisième bouche dans la continuité de la seconde est juste légèrement plus amère et laisse place à un final décevant, trop court laissant le malt et la sensation de sucre en bouche. A essayer peut être en été....quoi que....finalement non.

3.2 Botella. @Kraken, Oviedo 29/12/2017 Color ambarino corona de espuma blanca, aromas a cereal con notas especiadas, sabor dulce notas a caramelo y algo especiada cuerpo medio.

3.3 Botella 33 cl en el Kraken 04.. 12..2017. Color marrón oscuro turbio casi negro con espuma beige oscuro poco persistente que desaparece al poco dejando pequeňa corona. Sabores maltosos dulces con caramelizados tostados y buenas dosis de especias y ligeros anisados. Cuerpo medio con buena sensación alcohólica desde el principio, no muy denso, poco amargo. Buena.

3.0 Glass from tap at cafe Pronk in Groningen. Pours a clear dark ber colour with a small off white head which leaves a bit of lacing. Aroma of dark malt, caramel, figs, metallic. Taste is medium sweet, moderate bitter with a soft dry finish. Notes of caramel, dark malt, slight dark ripe fruit, metallic. Texture is oily, medium bodied with soft carbonation.

2.3 Draught @ Metafoor, Leuven. Dark reddish brown, beige head. No big aromas or tastes, blend, slightly herbal dubbel malts. Low carbonation, light body.

3.7 The beer looks nice. There is a beautiful ruby red color and quite good clarity. On top of the beer a nice fluffy and slightly off-white layer of foam is formed. The bulk of the foam collapses quickly, leaving a nice thin drape. The smell is a bit mild. I wish it was stronger. I smell some malt aroma’s, a spicy wintery thing and some hoppy bitterns. That is about it. In my eyes a lot of Belgian beers tend to have this flaw. They should try to increase the smell a bit. The taste is good though. it is a good typical winter beer. There is a nice malty sweetness, spicy touches of cinnamon, some red fruit and caramel and touches of pear and apple. There also is a nice alcohol flavour. The palate is not bad. Medium body and medium light carbonation. The finish is nice. It isn’t that long. There is a nice fruity sweetness and a tiny bitterness in there. Nice.

3.3 A very warm, sweet winter brew. another great beer from Grimbergen brewery.

3.2 Bottled@AIH66 Beer Session (from Saveur Biere). Copper colour, small off-white head. Aroma is wheat, some slight alcohol, spices and mild toasted and wooden notes. Flavour is fruity, some mild raisins, alcohol and mild spiciness too.

3.0 Bottled 330ml (Saveur) Clear copper color, small off-white head. Aroma has caramel and figs. Light to medium-bodied. Caramalt, raisins in the flavor. Simple "clean" without yeast esters. Quite sweet dessert beer. Could work better with a bit more maltier and with the higher ABV. Now quite uninteresting.

3.0 Une brune assez banale au nez sur le café et le malt torréfié et à la bouche simple et courte.

3.2 Bottle. Color: Ruby red, small off white head. Taste: Sweet roasted malt, yellow and red fruits. Hints of caramel and yeast. Fresh beer.

3.4 dunkelbraun, r?tlich, wei?er Schaum. Geruch ist s??lich, fruchtig, etwas Marzipan. Geschmack ist s??, fruchtig (eingelegte Kirschen) und angenehm w?rzig. Die recht pr?sente Karbonisierung st?rt etwas.

3.3 Solide und ein wenig dubbelig. Klar belgisch, hefig und gewürzlastig. Trotzdem spritzig, aber auch leider, besonders im Abtrunk, zu süß. In einem belgischen Bierkeller vom Hahn bestimmt ne nette Sache. Kleine Flasche von einem belgischen Discounter. Ca.1€.

2.9 Clear ruby body. Lightly off-white creamy head. Nose of malts, raisins, grapes, ... Heavily sweet flavour, lightly bitter. Quite dull.
