2.4 Helder pils met een volle schuimkraag. Mooi bitter. En een goede dorstlesser.

2.2 Drinking one from the minibar in our room of the Derlon hotel in Maastricht. Clear golden, slightly amber, with a two centimetre thick head. Smell of traditional malts and hops with a herbal, buttery note. Rather bland taste for a pils. There are better beers of this style and unfortunately I have to drink it from a smaller water glass.

2.9 Draught @ Arendsnest. Clear golden w a white head. Aroma medium malty (caramel) and hoppy (herbal). Flavor light to medium sweet and bitter. Light to medium body, average carbonated.

4.5 I am not the biggest beer drinker, though I do like having an acquired taste for certain pleasures. This beer reminds me of the 1st time I tasted beer while in Ireland. This taste was stout almost like a black strong coffee yet oddly refreshing. Once the bottle was gone, I could still taste the flavors floating around in my mouth. Now I am a beer drinker!

3.1 Pils mit klassischen Werten zwischen herben Hopfen und getreidigem Malz. Durchaus gut, nicht besonders, nur der herbe Nachgeschmack hat etwas eigenständiges.

Besluit: beetje een saai bier, weinig opwinding. Ze vinden van zichzelf dat ze tot de top 3 van de wereld behoren. Typisch Hollandse arrogantie, zeker? Wat een naam toch ook weer voor een gewone pils en wat een typische Hollandse gedachte om blauw te nemen als fleskleur. Was oranje hun kleur nu niet weer?

4.3 Superieur pilsener van Gulpener. Ruikt heerlijk en volle biersmaak. Bovendien 100% natuurlijk. In prachtige blauwe fles. Topper! 5,5% alcohol.

Afdronk is spicy bitter. Lekker pils!
