2.9 Uiterlijk: Goud/amberkleurig zonder schuim. Geur: Zoet, alcoholisch, gist, fruit en moutig. Smaak: Zoet, moutig, karamel. Mond: Een droge, zoete alcoholische afdronk.
2.5 Sampled from 0.5 l can from 'AH' (Den Bosch), best before July 2018. Clear, golden amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, sugary, slightly grassy aroma of grains, honey, vanilla and straw. Very sweet, malty, sugary and slightly grassy taste of grains, honey, vanilla and some straw, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, sugary, slightly boozy and a bit metallic finish. Medium to full body, creamy and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Okay for what it is, but couldn't drink much of it.
2.3 Yellow orange clear pour. Mainly malty aroma, some caramel. Sweet and softly bitter. Medium body. Drinkable
2.7 500ml Can shared. Apperance: A Clear orange copper color, with a small white head. Aroma: malts, alcohol and spices. Taste: malts, slightly sweet a bit of fruityness, quite some boozy , alcohol and a slight bitter finish. Decent carbonation, medium body. For what it is one of the more drinakble and better get fast drunk canned beers in the Dutch market. At least this one doesn't contain offtastes, it's only too boozy for it's own good. (backlog rating)
1.6 Serin bir kokusu var. Aşırı alkollü. Asit oranı yüksek ve orta köpüklü. Sevmedim.
2.9 A good, high gravity lager. Super aggressive, even a little boozy. Not necessarily the most pleasant drinking experience, but its cheap and pretty good.
2.8 Blikje gedronken tijdens vakantie. Aroma is iets gistachtig.
3.2 03-09-2017; bottle; at home (bought somewhere in The Netherlands). The looks of the beer aren't to special. The color of the beer is a nice golden yellow, darker than a regular pilsener. The beer is crystal clear. A lot of bubbles can be seen rising towards the top. On top they form a nice soft layer of foam. After a while only a lovely soft creamy drape of foam is left. Not bad. The smell of the beer is a little bit mild. I smell some simple sweet malts, some bitter hops, a slightly astringent weird aroma thingy...I can't clearly tell what it is. Not to much of it all, could be stronger. But it fits the rather simple character of the beer. The malts are a bit simple and biscuity by the way. The taste of the beer is a bit better. It is richer than the smell. There are nice sweet malts, a strong but sweet alcohol flavour, a touch of bitter and slightly fruity hops. The sweet malts are way stronger than the hops, and are even slightly out of balance. It is just a bit to sweet. The palate of the beer is nice. The body is medium, texture is quite smooth, and carbonation is rather high. The finish isn't to special. Just some warming alcohol, sweet malts and a slight bitter hop thing (very mild though). All in all, a rather simple alcoholic beer, that is actually quite nice.
4.6 If you want to get very drunk very quick without puking your innards out, drink this. Light taste, heavy beer. This is the beer that kills you the quickest, for the cheapest.
3.6 My favorite strong beer. Brewery isn't gulpener but grolsch. Had its origins in the time gulpener was owned by Grolsch
2.1 Bought in Holland in a 0,5L can. from a food store Dirk. Appearance: light golden beer with white head which reduces quite rapidly. Nose: a lot of alcohol, a bit of light malts. Taste: some caramel, booze and sweet malts. Not much hops used. Carbonation is OK, but not much body, more like a lager with vodka. No exciting after taste, just an OK heavy lager, with a low price and no special character. Don’t get me wrong, I could drink this again..
2.7 Can bought in NL, pours deep gold with a big head, alcohol and a bit of sticky caramel on the nose, warming and sweet, but with a hint of toasted bread and a drying edge that counters the sweetness a bit. Pretty clean body, and a good example of this "style".
2.6 50 CL can from Super Food in Aruba. Honey gold color topped by a small bubbly white head that disappates quickly. Slight grainy nose has a subtle spice nose. Bittersweet light toasted malt flavor has big boozy notes. Hints of caramel and nuts in middle. Finish is dry and boozy. Not very interesting, just a Booz bomb.
2.4 F: thin, white, quick gone. C: deep golden, clear. A: malty, grassy, hint of honey, caramel. T: malty, grainy, hint of grassy bitterness, honey, white bread, roses, medium body, strong alcohol, normal to low carbonation, for me till now all beer from this style are almost the same, not to be really enjoyed, 500ml can from Albert Heijn in Domburg in Netherland.
2.2 How: Can. Where: Tasting 2016-05-28. Appearance: Golden colour with a white head. Aroma: Malt, alcohol, caramel. Body: Medium body and carbonation. Flavour: Malt, alcohol.
2.8 Great value As a strong beer it has some flavour, but you can taste the alcohol; It is like drinking a beer with vodka rather than a genuinely strong beer. For the price it is excellent.
2.6 50cl can (22 IV 2016), shared with a friend. Pale golden imperial lager with faint collar. Pretty tasteful premium beer witch strong alcohol character - it surely feels heavily; this brew has a spirit-like body. The malts - almost corn flavoured - and bitters are contested by the firm sweetness. These kind of heavy lagers come in masses, a huge category to pick cans from, yet this Dutch example is far from bad.
2.8 Very strong. Cheap beer that you drink if you want to get drunk. In comparison to the other strong budget beers, this one is luckily not as sweet.
1.6 Can at home. Aroma of sweet pale malt, dried fruity notes, sugar, alcohol. Flavour is cloying sweetness with some bitterness in the aftertaste. Body is medium. Nasty boozy sweet maltbomb.
3.0 Can. Pours clear dark golden with a fizzy, unpleasant looking white head. Aroma is malty, grainy and has some corn elements in it. Some sweet, fruity elements as well. Bit soapy, herbal... Not bad actually. Taste is pretty sweet and bitterish towards the end. Well, actually it’s merely candied sugar with a hoppy undertone. Some fruits are noticeable, spicy traces as well, but the alcohol literally burns everything away. Too bad, if you consider that it has some taste potential in it. Warming, stingy alcoholic finish. Bit too carbonated, sticky in texture... This brew made me quite in doubt. Despite its unrefined, alcoholic and out-balanced character with clear misses, it’s actually pretty much okay for a can full of alcoholic’s desires (0,88€ per can)... Impressive to some extent! Could have been far more worse.
2.5 Can. Pours a dark golden color with a medium white head. Aroma was malty and grainy with alcohol and grass. Flavor of alcohol, grains, sweet malts and corn.
1.6 50cl can shared by Arve_Christian - "thanks". Pours clear golden with modest, white head. Aroma of cooked vegetables, sugar, candy, ripe fruits and caramel. Sweet, fairly unpleasant and quite undrinkable.
2.4 On 50 cl can from supermarket in Amsterdam. Clear golden color, good foam. Medium aroma intensity; honey, some fruitiness & boiled vegetables. Medium body & complexity. Quite sweet. Not impressed
2.6 500ml Dosis. Klar und golden mit kleiner Schaumkrone. Leicht würzig, insgesamt eher mild.
1.8 Malt, caramel aroma looks very clear golden\orange little foam, taste malt and a lot of alcohol i’m not to rich but can afford tot put thuis down the sewerage pilsener on steroids
1.4 from can some time ago, rating for the stats. dark golden pour with a white head. sweet grains, chemical sweetness, booze, malts, bitter aftertaste, bad malt liquor
