4.3Brown with an abundant head.
Smell of banana and pepper. Roasted taste with a strong banana note and a hint of spices. Low carbonation.
3.5Brown with a tall, foamy white head. Aroma is fairly traditional for the style: banana, bubblegum, toffee. Slightly grainy undertones. Taste is yeasty sweet up front, dry with a mild bitterness on the backside. Body is to the light side of medium, texture watery. Solid dunkelweizen, despite the watery notes.
3.5Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 10B). Bottle 50 cl - Batch L12374 (BBF 12.10.19). AROMA: medium banana and bubblegum notes, with a mild wheaty and malty-rich background. APPEARANCE: amber color and clear. medium-large beige head, creamy, with good retention. TASTE: medium wheat flavor, followed by medium-low banana, slight bubblegum, and a malty rich background. low bitterness with an almost dry finish. PALATE: medium body and creamy. medium to medium-high carbonation. OVERALL: an average dunkles weiss not much complex when compared with other examples.
3.2Tight creamy off white head left a good cover & collar on a murky light oak coloured still body.
Slightly vinous aroma with caramel, dark sugar & berry.
Medium bodied, finely carbonated over the tongue with a sticky back.
Orange, treacle, demerara, spices, zest & banana tastes with a fruity finish.
3.5Bottle @ Alter Fritz, Nürnberg. Pours cloudy copper brown with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of malt, banana and yeast, with touches of caramel. Sweetish flavour of the same ingredients, with mild bitter touches of hops and sourish, grainy touches. Estery and acidic aftertaste. Decent, but I prefer the helles version.
3.5Smaakt als een witbier, niks mis mee.
3.9Auch beim dunklen Weizen macht Gutmann einen tollen Job (auch wenn das Weltklasse helle Weizen nicht ganz erreicht wird). Weich, rund, sehr viel Hefe, gute Substanz, angenehme Röstmalznote, leicht "fettig". Sehr lecker.
3.2bottle @ supermarket (ingolstadt) brownish colour, normal body, medium carbonated, roasted malty, banana, yeasty, easy to drink
3.0suvellis dunkli braunis fantas well otis della sevella in destri polaris del jötra
3.80,5l bottle Nürnberg- dark chocolate color like iced coffee with a brownish head - banana chocolate hopfs- tasted all previous sweet with a late bitterness - light flavor but full taste
3.6Banana, cloves, caramel, toast malt with notes of chocolate. I prefer my dunkleweizens darker and with more roasted malt and chocolate over the banana but this is fine
3.2Bottle - Cloudy brown with small off white head. Strong banana, bubblegum aroma. Good tasting weiss beer, good aftertaste.
2.6Looks like a watered down cola. Thin, off-white head. Aroma is clove and toast. Taste is malt and cloves. Quite bland.
3.7High stable foam and a pleasant appearance. Dark brown color. The aromas of a clove, banana and roasted malt going direct into the nose. Very mild, a bit swear taste of wheat, chocolate, cappuccino. The palate is sweet and moderate though. Nice example of a Dunkleweizen.

3.7Bottle from an Edeka, Rothenburg. Pours hazy reddish amber with a big, lasting, foamy, off-white head; some lacing. Aroma of dry & candied banana, apple cake, plum, toast, cinnamon, wheat, honey & clove. Medium malty sweet onset, hints of cake, plum & apple; sourish wheat note introduces a light spicy, clove- & cinnamon-like bitter middle with a yeasty accent. Dryish, herbal & grassy hoppy finish, lingering plum, clove, bread & yeast. Medium body, oily texture, fizzy carbonation. Very nice, elegant Dunkelweizen.
3.4Bottle, a takeaway from GBBF. Aroma of banana, spice and something treacle-like. Hazy dark brown. Thick foamy off-white head. Surprisingly underpowered. Sweet and sour with a bitter edge. Banana and herbs and sour cream. Medium bodied. Creamy. Average carbonation. Long if muted finish. Drinkable. It is restrained but I suppose this is better than being overly sweet or such like. But on the bland side.
3.4Refrigerated 0.5 L brown bottle poured into weizen glass in Nuremberg near the beautiful fountain. Cloudy medium brown, suspended yeast, and with big white head. Aroma is banana, medium body, medium carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is banana, yeasty, some chocolate, and some clove.
3.5Medium dark brown color. Off white head. The nose
Is completely dominated by a sweet, estry, bananas character. Don’t pick up any of the Dunkel character. Nice mouth with good cloves and bananas with just faint hints of chocolate in the background. Smooth and very drinkable. Decent atuff
3.7Bottle. Pours dark brown-copper with beige head. Aroma is sweet, fruity, banana, citrus. Flavor is sweet, very wheaty, caramel, malt, banana. Finish is sweet. Overall: very good.
3.9Bottle. Hazy brown color with white head. Aroma is bananas, caramel, cream, chocolate, estery. Taste is bananas, cream, chocolate. Silky mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Solid Dunkelweizen! 7-4-7-3-14
Bottle, some floatees. Very nicely balanced, super creamy, not too much chocolate, all the sweet banana goodness. Great stuff! 8-3-8-4-16
3.3500 ml bottle. Pours a hazy chestnut brown with a white head. Relatively mild aroma of banana and some cloves. Medium body with a lively carbonation, a light to medium sweetness and a very light bitterness. Intense flavor of bananas, lots of spices (cloves, cinnamon), wheat and some fruity, yeasty notes along with hints of roasted malt (cocoa). Full in flavor - enjoyable.

3.6Bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus and Ansjelaah. Hazy unclear reddish brownish color, medium sized off-white head. Smell and taste malts, caramel, lightly banana, a hint of smoke and some sweetness. Decent body and soft carbonation. Definitely decent.
4.0Aroma; hops, roasted malts, cinnamon, cardamom, coriander, caramels, crispy dark bread, citrus note. Look; fawn to light beige good head on a near clear mahogany body. Taste; hops, roasted malts, cinnamon, cardamom, coriander, caramels, crispy dark bread, yeast, citrus note, pears - sweet fully nice finish. Feel; good but not heavy body, natural soft carbonation. Overall; very nice and typical German dark wheat beer. Feels as more than the 5.2, but no alco notes. Good one. [BB18AUG17, btl@Pivoteka H7 Tromsö bymyself 2017SEP17 8484'16]
4.1Bottle from Mein Bier.de Dark brown colour, beige foam. Nose of banana, some citrus, spices. Very drinkable. Medium carbonation. The best Dunkelweizen I ever tasted.
