3.5 Tap @ Naboen, Bergen. Pours a deep murky orange body with a thin off-white head. Aroma is really fruity with strong notes of peach, caramel-malts, citrus, cookies and white sugar. Body is creamy and thick and the carbonation is medium. Tastes are also quite sweet and fruity. Peach, caramel-malts, nice dry and grassy bitterness from the hops and I can sense a woody finish along with the kicking bitter hops, and leaving a slightly herbal and sweet aftertaste. I quite liked this actually.
2.8 Bottle 500ml (Batch #303) @ Patricks Pub og Restaurant, Kristiansand Pours cloudy golden with a creamy white head. Aroma has notes of malt, hay and grassy hops. Taste is light sweet, light bitter with a dry grassy finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.
3.4 From Khioskh, Copenhagen, DK. Bottled, 150111. Amber with off-white head. Aroma of hay and citrus. Flavor with grapefruit, malt and some caramel
4.0 Bottle: Batch 303. Off white foamy head on top of a clear dark amber to orange colored beer. Smell hops, flowers, fresh, fruity, pine, hint of grape fruit. Taste hops, flowers, bitter, fruits, fresh, light dry and bit spicy.    Light hoppy grassy aftertaste. Soft to creamy mouthfeel, mid body and low carbo.
3.4 Bottle at Aku Aku. Amber color, classic ipa look. Aroma is a bit weak, with caramel malt. Has a nice bitterness, the floral hops are a nice finish.
3.4 Ruddy, burnt orange color pour with light white head. Aroma of smoke, hops, citrus, some tropical fruits. Flavor is campfire smoke, caramel, Mild to medium bitterness. Pretty different and not necessarily in a bad way. Almost no sweetness, which I prefer in my IPAs (though, this is more like an english pale ale). Fairly carbonated. Finishes on a fairly dry note. Pretty nice.
3.1 Bottle. Golden, hazy, average and mostly lasting head. Moderate malty and sweetish aroma, light fruitiness, lots of sharp soapy hoppyness. Body is average, malty and lightly sweet and fruity flavor, sharp soapy hoppyness. Finish is average, malty and dryish – soapy hoppyness. Soapy IPA – perhaps wild hops just do not work so well.
3.1 02.10.2005. 0,5l Bottle. Brygg nr. 4. Pale brown colour. Malty aroma with a lot of hops and bitterness.
3.8 This was a very interesting IPA. Earthy/rauch type aromas hide any floral/citrus/pine hop aroma. Taste is mellow and mouthfeel silky. This is a great beer, just not worth the tag here in the States. Certainly worth the try!
3.3 Pours muddy orange with a off white creamy head. Aroma is hoppy with oranges and peaches. Flavour is hoppy with grape fruit, oranges and some pine.
3.2 Bottle, bought @ Kihoskh, Cph. Pours muddy orange-amber with a big, frothy, white head. Aroma has pine, some apricot, light yeast, oranges and a bit of caramel in the back. High carbonation, light watery and mildly dry mouthfeel. Flavour is mild, some slight doughy malts in the front, light grassy and piney hops in the middle and a fair, grassy bitterness at the end with just a floral and black currants hint.
3.0 Batch 199. Murky orange with a small tanned, creamy head. Wooden, fruity malty and hoppy aroma. Sweet, light bitter and acidic with smoke notes, Rounder and less astringent as it heats towards room temperature. Smooth. Medium to full body. Initial rating date 2010-12-16 Batch 138. Gushes in such a way that the sediments are stirred into the liquid making it murky orange. Finger thick, frothy, cappuccino colored, lasting head. No lacing. Yeasty and wooden aroma with some malty notes coming through and alcohol present. Grows in the mouth and is overwhelmingly carbonated. Alcoholic and bitter with an acidic and dry finish. Full bodied. May be off. 6-3-4-1-8 2.2
3.0 A simple and straight forward IPA. Very nicely balanced between fruits and hops.
2.8 Earthy floral hop aroma. Orange-gold in color with a solid seafoam like head. Earthy hop flavor thats slightly unpalatable, a bit metalic even.
2.7 Spicy yeast aroma mixed with resin and piney hops. Sweet up front with a slow growing bitterness towards the end which doesn’t amount to much for me.
3.7 50cl Bottle, same as Pinball described, from De Bierkoning. Cloudy orange colour, frothy yellow-white head. Aroma of mango, passionfruit, grapefruit, nice sweet fruity hops, earthy liquorice root. Flavour is malty, sweet, tropical fruits, hoppy bitterness with a fair amount of earthy liquorice. Medium bodied. Nice.
3.6 This might be a new beer from haandbryggeriet 6.5% "Dette specielle ølet er brygget med en lokal variant vill humle som vokser langs elvebreddene, ikke langt fra bryggeriet. ". This does not match that well with the RB description use of a mix of English hops. Label is green and the words "norwegian IPA at the bottom. I have mailed the brewer and will create a new beer if i get confirmation the recipe is different (different hopping). Pours clear to hazy orange brown, huge smooth head on first pour, large smooth head on following pours. looks great. Flowery dry hoppy aroma, pretty strong hoppy arom, american in the level of hop aroma. A litlle exotic fruits. faint malty caramelly note too, but hops are the dominant aroma. pretty bitter hoppy flavor too, flowers almost gone, dryness, bitterness, something resembling herbal licorice like flavor, faint orange juciy fruits, faint fruit peel bitterness. This is pretty damn tasty and very quenching. the malty balance is a bit lacking, but only because i start comparing this to the mikkeller single hop series. A very interesting india pale ale and very tasty too. I hope those elvebredde are huge and that there is plenty of hops there. This is pretty good. Brewed may 2010, tasted oct 2010 - at this time it tastes very good and the hop profile is still fresh. Bottle from bunker beer so it has been kept perfectly well since it hit the BB cellar.
3.6 Orange beer with medium and blond head. Aroma is fruitfull, excotic fruits, grapefruits, some pine needles and fructose sweetness. Flavour is dryer than aroma, some excotic fruits and overally flavour is quite simple, medium, but rough bitterness. Nice aroma, but flavour is not so good and more freshness would be nice. Good, but not top IPA.
3.4 500 ml bottle. Batch #303. Finland. Hazy amber colour with small off-white head. Smoothish fruity bitter hoppiness with some grapefruit and citrus in aroma. Flavour is rather sweet fruity bitter hoppy. Lots of malt balancing. Quite heavy but not that bitter after all.
3.6 500 ml bottle @ Konttori. Batch #303, brygget 27.7.2010. BBE 27.7.2012. Pours a slightly hazy orange colour with a frothy, lasting, lacy natural white head. Fresh on the nose with a decent amount of hops, fruits and citrus. Notes of caramel and earth. The flavour is mild sweet with fruits, mild hops, grass and lemon. Medium bodied, a bit thin but oily mouthfeel and low carbonation. This is a fairly sweet IPA and it lacks hoppiness.
3.2 Tap at Blind Tiger - orange, hazy pour. thin white head, woody and earthy, floral musty. Caramel malts, smooth piney and a touch of dry funk. pretty tasty and light. unusual.
3.0 Hazy orange color, white head. The aroma is earthy, hoppy. The flavor is caramel, metal, earthy hops. The finish is again metallic, earthy hops. Ok, far dfrom great. Maybe these guys should stick to the traditional styles they do best.
3.4 Bottle. Pours a hazy orange color with a longlasting off-white head. Has a fruity malty hoppy yeasty aroma. Sweetish malty hoppy bitter yeasty flavor with hints of citrus. Has a sweetish malty hoppy bitter finish with some yeasty hints.
3.7 Lots of white bubbly head on this one. Reddish-brown and cloudy with nice particulates. The aroma has hops and notes apricots. Good balance of hops.
3.0 Bottle 500cl. Bought at Vinmonopolet in Tromsø (Jekta). Nice thick and creamy beige head which takes a while to pour. Hazy amber body. Tastes of citrus, grass and spice, and maybe some caramel(?). Medium dry mouthfeel. Fine IPA, but not great.
3.4 A clear golden/orange colored beer, with a thick foamy white head. The aroma of hop bitters, fruity like citrus. The taste is dry hoppy, bitter with notes of fruits and some spices. The aftertaste is bitter with some sweet.
3.6 Bottle. Hazy orange with a medium white head. Hoppy aroma with grass and citrus. Bitter taste of grape, grass. Long aftertaste. Good.
3.7 Bottle. Distinct aroma of hops, grass and flowers. Cludy amber colur with huge beige head. Very bitter with plenty of hops and a prominent tobacco flavour in the finish.
3.5 Clear golden with a fluffy white head. Big caramel, grain, and ctirus hops aroma and taste with a bright palate, candy sweetness and an earthy bitterness.
3.2 50cl bottle. Hazy orange color with s creamy head. Sweet and spicy barbecue sauce aroma with a touch of smoke. Odd, but I like it for some reason. Big bready malt backbone with herbal and spicy yet mellow hops. Definitely faded at this point, but that’s the life of an imported IPA. Medium bodied with a nice enough texture. An odd one and definitely not worth buying compared to a slew of local examples of the style. Why export your IPA that can’t nearly compete in flavor or price with the local beers in the market?
