HaandBryggeriet Odin's Tipple

HaandBryggeriet Odin's Tipple

Odin's Tipple was meant to be a strong beer, but we changed our minds...its still strong but we wont follow the mega strong trend. It should be possible to make great beer without the extreme alcohol potency. Odin's Tipple is now approx 11% abv, it’s a dark almost black beer from lots and lots of chocolate malt. Its the malt that contributes the flavor...no added coffee or anything else, Its got a great body without being old engine oil and still very drinkable due to the wild yeast we use. This beer is made with a single strain of wild yeast and the recipe is dead simple.

3.7 Shared with Wim at Hoppe Beer Fest. Black colored beer with no head and no carbonation. Malty roasted alcoholic fruited aroma. Full sparkling palate. Finish is bitter malty mucca chocolate.
4.0 From a 330ml bottle pours jet black with a brown head. A strong port and roasted grain aroma. Full bodied with a strong malty, raisin, port and bourbon taste on the palate. Sweet and quite heavy, but that's what you expect from an imperial stout. A brilliant example of that style. If that's what they serve in Valhalla I want to visit!
4.1 33 cl fles. Zwart bier met een kleine bruine schuimkraag. Geur: Geroosterde mout, beukennoten, wat koffie chicorei, wat karamel. Smaak: Licht zoet, karamel, geroosterde mout, wat donker fruit, koffie chicorei, zwarte chocolade. Volmondig. Matige koolzuurprikkel. Afdronk: lang, alcohol verwarmend, licht kleverig. Lekker.

4.0 Zwarte triple, Imperial Stout, dikkig, bitterzoet, en lekkere nadronk
4.2 Molasses, liquorice, figs, roasted malt, roasted coffee, chocolate, blackcurrant, burned malt, spices. This has something for everyone who loves imperial stouts
3.5 330ml Bottle - Black with some orangey tinges when held to the light. Liquorice, molasses and black cherries in the aroma. Rich and slightly earthy taste with plain chocolate, liquorice, fennel and coffee grounds standing out. Not bad but I was hoping for more.
Något endimensionell men i övrigt mycket trevlig.
4.2 Opaque black beer with a slight brown head. Medium aroma; taste starts medium/heavy sweet and ends slightly bitter and dry. Caramel, chocolate, mocha, roasted malts and coffee. 7/5/9/4
3.8 Good nose, roasted and dark fruits, some cocoa, black with a good tan head, medium/full body, average carbonation, taste is similar, quite balanced with a nice warming...good.
3.6 (on tap) Aroma: coffee and roastiness, Taste: sweet, flavour of milk chocolate, coffee and roasted malt. Palate: medium body, low carbonation, Overall: Nice balanced stout,
3.9 Bottle. Black oily pour. Aroma of chocolate, tarr, licorice, mild smoke, caramel and figs. Taste has bitter licorice, tarr, chocolate, bitter dark berries, smoke and roasted malt. Nice flavorful, fruitish ris, very scandinavian.
4.0 Bottle. 10.2%. Color: Black, thin light brown head. Aroma: Rather sweet, chocolate, roasted malt. Taste: Moderate to medium hopbitter, over medium sweet roasted malt, pretty strong but not too sweet or overwhelming chocolate and toffee notes. Full body, soft carbonation. Lightly boozy finish, bit warming mouthfeel. Nice Imperial Stout without the pretty common dark coffee notes. I like it.
3.9 Bottle. The wild yeast makes all the difference. This beer avoids be cloying and viscous as a result.
3.6 W aromacie espresso, praliny, czekolada, nuty palone. Z wyglądu czarne z obrączką beżowej piany. W smaku espresso, deserowa czekolada, nuty palone, gorzkie kakao. Ciało gładkie i aksamitne, alkohol schowany. Ogólnie niezły ris o klasycznym profilu, dobre piwo
3.9 Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; opaque dark brown pour with a thin creamy tan head, aroma has chocolate and deep malts, taste has bitter chocolate, dark fruits, liquorice, some char, quite good.
3.6 Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate and alcohol. Smooth and sticky mouthfeel. Full body. Taste is roasted malt, subtle alcohol and lots of dark chocolate. Roasty bitter finish with lots of cocoa. Very sessionable considering the high abv.
4.7 Dark with a brown sudsy head. So dark that no light gets through. Chocolaty sweet malty goodness with a hint of coffee. Excellent stout
3.7 330ml bottle at 10.2%. Pours very dark brown with a large head. Aroma is tar, roast and a touch of liquorice. Taste has light roast to start and a strong liquorice finish.

3.9 Aroma: A very fruity profile - lots of dried cherries and kind of red fruit, then of course chocolate. Appearance: Black body, low head. Taste: Rather sweet, yet seems light, mediumly roasted, lightly sourish, no alcoholic notes whatsoever. Palate: Medium-high body, low carbonation, semi-dry finish. Ov: Pretty characteristic and interesting.
4.7 pours jet-black with brown head. aroma is dark chocolate, coffee. full bodied, taste is loads of dark chocolate, malt, sweet, hints of coffee.
4.1 Uzupełnienie profilu notatki. Piana niewielka ale drobna trwała. Kolor czarny.
