3.7Pours a rusty copper color with a finger of gaseous bubbles that settle quickly. Lots of layers of tart fruit; cherry, pineapple, pear, cider vinegar. Nice touch of sweet malt in the background that keeps the acidity in check. Juicy front end and a dry puckering finish !
2.8Ins Glas ergießt sich ein dunkelgoldenes Bier mit großer Schaumkrone. Geruch säuerlich fruchtig, Trauben, Citrus, hefig. Geschmack malzig süß,
säuerlich, Citrus, holzig.
3.6Bottle - Sour grape and some oak with slightly nutty nose. Cloudy copper with next to no head. Woody and tart sour cherry. Light refreshing and woody.
4.2Poured from bottle into a shaker glass with Giulia, @home.
Pours a deep gold color, with a little white head, very little persistent.
It smells of leather, earthy, citrus, grass, woody, resin. The smell is quite persistent.
The taste is little sweet at the beginning but it becomes tart and citric very soon. However, the wood sensation due to aging is present through the whole tasting. It gives a pleasant velvet touch in the mouth. At the end, the alcoholic sensation balances the citric notes and makes the beer very enjoyable with a pleasant warming final.
4.7Big sour almost squash smell, slightly rotting vegetable smell but in a good way? Pearlescent glowing orange peach color light ring of head. Big mouth feel, acidic on the start then goes to and oak wood taste that then sours like a tart fermented aprium. The tart coats your mouth in a woody grain of sour the taste lasts far beyond the sip.
4.4Bottle. Pours reddish dark golden with small creamy lacings. Ahh, yes, the aroma is really nice. Balsamic vinegar with vinous tones, lots of fruit and wood, and some tart funky bretty notes. Velvety smooth and full body with almost no carbonation. Flavour is fruity and sour with apples and grapes, as well as vinous red wine barrel wood. Fruity and just the right amount of astringency in the finish. Mmmm…!
4.1Alvinne Craft Beer Festival 2012. Hazy golden colour. Soft carbonation. Medium body. Sour aroma of green apple, white wine and vinegar. Well balanced and complex.
4.1Flaske fra håndverkerstuene. oransje kobber farge. Lite karbonert. Smaker druestein, gjær, hvete, sitrus, frukt, syre. Utrolig god, syrlig øl
4.1Appearance: Clear deep golden color with a white head. Ok lacing.
Aroma: Fruity, acidic, vinegar, mild citric and yeast.
Palate: Medium + body. Tad sweet, and a moderate bitterness. Balanced sourness. Soft to average carbonation.
Taste: Pleasant balanced sourness, yeast, mild fruity, some citric notes, barnyard and a fine mild malty back.
Overall impression: Had this on several occasions. First time at Haand 2012. It just gets better and better. Last time at a tutored tasting at Havnelageret in Fredrikstad February 2014. Highly recomendable.
Personal stats: Bottle at Havnelageret in Fredrikstad, Norway
3.9Bottle 500ml @ Sandar Haandverksbryggeri - Brygghuset

4.014.02.2014, 0,5l bottle shared with Palme & Kaaz @ train from Oslo to Halden:
Tiny shortlasting head. Aroma is slightly acidic sour, sorrel, sour socks, citrus peel, oak, raw rhubarb, lemon, grass. Taste is slightly dry sour-ish, citrus peel, sorrel, oak, white wine, soda powder, sour socks, citrus. Nice acidity, slightly dry mouthfeel. Very nice.
Buonissima!
4.5A thick and very nice sour ale. Orange marmelade, Gooseberries, White Wine and dry oak/re wine in the aftertaste. A little sweetness mixes well with the sourness. This is a personal favourite of mine from Haandbryggeriet. Only beaten slightly by Handbryggeriet Surpomp. Has similarities with Beer Here Whining Blonde, which also is a great beer. Recommended. X
Skje
ønner godt at HB har suksess med denne i utlandet.
2.8Hazy, greyish yellow. Sour lemon aroma. Sour taste, but still some residual sweetness. Missing the Cantillion complexity.
3.6An refreshing albeit high ABV sour. amber pour with very little head. Funky aroma and taste, brett, horseblanket, grape, apple, wood, lemon, barnyard must. Dry finish.
3.8High class ale, worth the premium price paid in New jersey. Little head, but premium sour funky aroma and taste. Very smooth and drinkable.
3.8500ml bottle, amber-orange color, with a small ring of white head, with a nice mild funky, bretty, yeasty, white wine oaky barrel, horseblanket nose, with some sweet and sour berry, white grape must, tart green apple, light wheat, pale, toasted malt accents, with an acidic apple sauce, faint lemon juice acidic note in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a nice wild yeasty, funky, bretty, dusty, woody, white wine tannin, oak barrel, musty grape acidic character, with some mild sour green apple, honeyed wheat, pale malt, apple cider, tart rhubarb flavours, leading towards a yeasty funkiness, light wheat sour mash, pale, toasted malt, sour green apple, musty grape, lingering woody oakiness, acidic white wine tannin dry finish.
3.7Relatively clear, deep, golden-orange color with a small film of white foam. Complex aroma with citric barnyard notes, ripe plums and some vinegary - balsamico action. Taste is very refreshing, tart with strong fruityness and a somewhat dry finish. Also oak in the taste, but it’s rather subtle and blends well with the hints of balsamico vinegar.
3.9Clear amber, no head. Sour, fruity, there is vinegar, but it is not over the top.
Cherries, lemons, no malt or body left.
4.0Bottle from Mane Liquor. Smells very juicy. Pours slightly cloudy orange with some sediment ad a small beige head. As said, the nose is juicy as they come with some sweet citric and stone fruits. Acidic note comes through a touch. Taste showcases sweet citric fruits with some heavy funk and tart, acidic note works well and helps balance the sweet fruits. Quite sour and sessionable. Very pleasing stuff and drinks fantastically. Nice one
3.4bottle courtesy of mathieuc, thanks! pours hazy pinkish without a head. dusty cherries, wood and acetic notes, moderate funk, red grape skin, bit of cheese and herbs. soft to flat carbonation, light to medium body - oily, slightly harsh acetic finish. tad linear but enjoyable.
3.5Bronze copper
Nose is gueuze like with some acetic nose
Taste well mouthfeel is thick and chewy. Full body. Grape skins, barnyard and thick and sour. Nice acetic finish but too much vinegar for my liking.

3.8Drank in tulip from 22oz bottle. Aroma - sour and vinegar smell. Very nice. Appearance - beautiful golden blush color. Taste - sour but a little skunk at end. Good though. Palate - super sour and I like it. Overall - pretty good sour. Not my favorite but good
3.8Aroma is tart fruit, sour notes and mild sweetness. The flavor is tart fruit, very slight vegetative notes, malts, an undercurrent of sweetness and a tangy/mildly sour finish.
3.4Borefts’12 kleur is oranje en net nie helder met een kleine witte schuimkraag, ruikt beetje zurig, beetje brett achtig, fruitig
3.6Clear amber/reddish pour. Smallish head. Flavors of tart cherries a little red wine vinegar, light woody notes. Not the best sour but quite tasty.
3.7A hazy light-brown with no head. The bubbles are poppy like champagne, the aroma is fruity and tart. The beginning of the flavor is on the tip of the tongue and the back of the palate. It is tart but not bitter and the flavor is fruity but not sweet. Its a fun beer with flavors that you can’t get everywhere. Enjoy.
