Fantastic doppelbock. Sweet sticky and malty. Good mouthfeel. Tasty beer.
Buena doppelbock.
Bottle. Nose is caramel, hints of toffee, sweet malt, light liquorice, hazelnut, milk chocolate. Taste is nutty, honey, stewed fruit, raisin, light chocolate, liquorice leading to spice, slightly medicinal hop note, smoke, brown sugar.
Absolutely delicious, really enjoyed it.

Appearance - a beautiful autumnal red, going into chestnut. Slightly off-white head.
Nose - malt loaf, toffee but also red fruit.
Taste - red fruit going into stewed fruit too. Engulfed in toffee and sweet maltiness again.
Palate - medium to full bodied. Creamy but slightly roasty through the middle and finish.
Overall - lovely doppelbock.
500ml bottle brewed in Germany at 8.1%. Clear faintly ruddy toffee colour with a large, fair-duration head. No sign of the 'naturtrueb' even after all is poured out. Rich sweet honeyed chocolate aroma, a little musty. Lowish carbonation, a little syrupy. Nice rich chocolate and roast malt notes, dark ripe fruit, very dried figgy. Chocolate syrup and a little herbs in the finish. Fair, and characterful, but not my favourite Doppelbock by any means.
0,5 bottle. Szép csatos üveg kossal :) A sör is szép, furcsa gesztenye barna, pont olyan, mint a jelenlegi címkéje. A habja barnásfehér, egy kis ujjnyi ott marad. Tetszetős. Aroma: karamell maláta alapon finom aszalt gyümölcsösség, ami erősödik, ahogy a sör melegszik. FInom malátás illatok. A sörfőzés-illatú kilasszikus duplabak sörök közé tartozik. Nekem bejön! Paulaner Salvator - szerű sör, az még nyersen malátásabb, valahogy ez talán gyümölcsösebb, és könnyebb. Mazsolás, aszalt gyümölcsös, és més sorolhatnám. A színe nem sejtet annyi ízt, mint amennyi van benne... Kiemelten ajánlott a stílus- kedvelőinek. Ahogy melegedett, egészen különleges illata is lett!

Nice buckled glass with Ram :) The beer is also nice, weird chestnut brown, just like its current label. His foam is brownish white, a little fingertip stays there. Nice. Aroma: delicious dried fruitiness on a caramel malt base, which is strengthened as the beer heats up. Delicate malty aroma. The beer-brew-scented kilassic double-bock beers are among the beers. I like it! Paulaner Salvator - like beer, it 's even rawer, somehow it' s maybe more fruity and lighter. Raisins, dried orchards, and more I could list. Its color does not suggest as much taste as it contains ... Highly recommended for style lovers. As it warmed up, it smelled quite special!
Pours a lovely warm mahogany colour, nice lasting white head. Aroma rich biscuit malt. Tastes beautifully smooth and warming.
Bottle, can’t remember where from. Poured a lovey rich brown colour with a white foam. Super smooth and malty with a hint of spice. Strong but no alcohol bite. Very nicely done.

Ein Bock, der mir zu hart war. Es hat schon ordentlich fruchtig-beerige Noten, aber der schnapsige Unterton ist mir zu intensiv.
Ich brauche es nicht mehr.
Butelka. Ciemny,miedziany kolor. Piana lekko żółtawa,średnia,opada dość powoli. W aromacie karmel,toffi,brązowy cukier,susz owocowy z naciskiem na figi i rodzynki. W smaku również bardzo słodko,dużo karmelu i brązowego cukru,słód,,suszone owoce,kandyzowana skórka pomarańczowa,trochę przypraw na finiszu. Suszone daktyle i figi.....mega słodkie.Alkohol dobrze ukryty ,wysycenie średnie ,lekka oleistosc..Kolejny dzień kwarantanny
Bottle at home. Pours clear golden orange, nose is malty, caramel, stewed fruit, taste is similar, sweet, sticky.
Dunkler Doppelbock mit ordentlichen 8,1 % Alk. und gewaltiger 19,3 % Stammwürze. Wird wie alles wo Hacker-Pschorr draufsteht seit 1998 bei Paulaner gemacht.
Zuerst recht malzig süß. Dann bittere Noten. Den Alkohol schmeckt man immer sehr deutlich. Recht trocken und etwas krautig im Nachgeschmack. Bleibt relativ süffig für ein Bier mit diesen Basisdaten (Alkohol und Stammwürze). Ja, ist ganz OK. Eines der besseren Biere von Hacker-Pschorr.
Der Animator von Hacker-Pschorr mit 8,1% ist ein starker Doppelbock. Aus der braunen 0,5l Reliefflasche mit Bügelverschluß mit rot-bräunlichen Etikett und Bock darauf. Nach dem Plopp fließt es dunkelrot bräunlich mit üppiger Schaumkrone ins Glas. Malzig-Süß riecht es mit leichten röstaromen. Der erste Schluck schmeckt wie es riecht malzig und etwas süßlich, vollmundig und den Alkohol schmeckt man jedem Schluck. Anfangs noch zurückhaltend hat zum Ende des Glases ganz schön Durchschlagskraft. Es wärmt den Bauch. Ab der 2ten Flasche fühlt man sich dem Himmel der Bayern sehr nahe, ganz so wie es auf dem Etikett steht.
Bottled 0,50L. Dark brown/braced color, light unclear and bubbly aspect. nut creamy head of good resistance. Moderate heavy malty aroma, notes of toffee, caramel, sweet caramel, brown suger. Moderate alcoholic impression, oily texture, mellow palate with robust caramel, brown sugar, toffee and light braced malt final.
De Hopt. Viendo la Casa de Pa0el 1x01. En vaso hefe de Bavaria. Birrote epico. Riquisimo dulzor acaramelado tostado con una buena dosis de amargor bien integrada. Deja con ganas de mas a pesar de su abv y formato (50cl)

Sweet malt chocolate flavour with stone fruit. Murky brown colour good head and lacing. Chocolate cherry malt flavour. Smooth palate.
В аромате много патоки, ощущаются легкие пряные нотки, вроде корицы, также есть карамельный солод. Цвет свтло янтарный, пенка маленькая, с средне крупными пузырями. Вкус питкий несмотря на 8 градусов, и к тому же не сильно пьянит, хотя совсем легкие нотки алкоголя есть. Много сладких но не резких ноток, вроде меда и карамеля. Также стойкое присутствие ноток от виски. Вообще странно но местами оно похоже на другой стиль а именно барливайн, возможно из за большого количества солода. При глотке небольшая хмелевая составляющая. Затем снова солод и пряности с едва различимой карамелью. В целом не типичный доппельбок, но весьма не дурный своим уровнем.

Bottle picked up from the REWE Getränkemarkt, Zolling, consumed at home Attenkirchen, Bavaria, Sunday 7th April 2019 listening to The Blinders whilst Loz on the phone to Isobel and Jude. Pours chestnut brown in colour, hazy with an off white head. Molasses and toffee on the nose. Malt dominates, burnt molasses a little bit of Dundee cake, i.e. fruity, spicy and with some nuttiness (toasted almonds). Good and dangerously drinkable, abv didn't show at all.
Two litre flip-top bottle, an exchange gift from a friend who lives in Luxembourg. Opened and consumed on Saturday 6th April 2019, at a family gathering, my house. I had 500ml, poured into an old 'Wolnzacher Brauhaus' glass tankard, the rest went to my son, father, etc, etc. Clear mahogany body, creamy head in colour and texture. Smooth sweet malty mouthfeel, caramel maltiness in the aroma and flavour. My sweet tooth really enjoyed it.
From the bottle. The Animator fails to show much animation itself—sits in the glass, brown in color, with a somewhat stagnant look. The foamy head proves to be fleeting. The aroma is better—full of plums and caramel with just a hint of spice. Taste has a mildly roasted bittersweetness that I would define as more bitter than sweet. Carbonation is mild, body is medium. Decent.
Amber-orange pour with khaki head. Sweet leaning with a hint at lighter fruits than the others. Still has a slight bread and chocolate nose and flavor under the fruit. Nice smooth feel.
Sweet, malty smell. Starting off sweet with some mild bitterness in the background. Honey, caramel, raisins, as well as alcohol are very present. Hops are very much in the background while drinking but you can smell them in the glass or bottle afterwards: some pine notes, as well as peach, combined with traditional grassy hops.

Aus der handlichen 2-Liter-Bügelflasche. In der Nase Trauben. Im Trunk doch recht alkoholisch, dazu Sherry, Holzfass, mittig Honig, leichte Süße, wärmt schön an, langer Abgang aus Fass und dunklen Trauben.
0,5l Flasche aus dem Getränkemarkt.
Das Bier funkelt rötlich- kastanienbraun unter feinem, karamelligem Schaum. Ein sehr leckerer Anblick, nur der leichte Nebel ist etwas irritierend - aber umso besser für den runden Geschmack wie wir feststellen werden. Der Geruch nach Schwarzbrot, Rumtopf und Trockenfrüchten lässt die 8,1 vol % kaum erahnen. Der erste Schluck ist süß und legt sich mit wohliger Wärme wie eine Kuscheldecke auf die Zunge. Ein Brot mit Honig und Piemontkirschmarmelade. Die Hopfen- und die dunkle Malzbittere reichen sich harmonisch die Hände. Die Komposition aus Zucker, Bitteraromen und Likör bleibt angenehm auf der Zunge.
Ein absolutes Spitzenbier, definitiv!
Bottle shared by bhensonb. Pours medium brown with a modest beige head and a pleasant brown sugar and chocolate aroma. There is a hearty roasty brown malt flavor with chocolate and awarm alcohol trail. Very nice Doppelbock.
500 ml flip-top from the RuWe in Munich Aldtstadt. Pours copper with a beige head. Nice brown sugar/toffee aroma. Med body or better. Flavor is brown sugar, toffee, chocolate, uncertain fruits, and maybe a touch of anise. Mild touch of heat. Not extremely sweet/malty and there’s some hop. Everything works together. Really quite nice.
