3.5 Tap at a Restaurant in krün. Nose is sweet, Malt, wheat. Palate is sweet, a bit tart, faint bread, citrus. short biztersweet finish. Pretty sweet for a helles, but quite good.
3.2 Pours a nice golden yellow color with a minimal fizzy white head. Aromas of grains, straw, hops, and a hint of fruit. Flavor is a nice crisp pilsner taste. Starts grainy with touches of pepper and fruit and finishes with a mellow hop.
3.5 Draft from the old Holzfass. Brilliant clear golden color with a large and lacy white head. Honey, grain, bready aroma. Flavor has a touch of honey sweetness, only mild noble hops. Medium light bodied but has something to it, medium carbonation. Good for the style.
4.0 Aus dem Holzfass, Stangeneis gekühlt im Pschorr am Viktualienmarkt. Goldgelbes Bier mit weissem Schaum. Zitronig frischer Duft. Hopfen im Antrunk, dann Getreide, ein Hauch Holz und Zitrone. Wunderbar kalt und süffig. Mein Favorit in München!
2.7 Poured from the tap. Clear golden yellow with minimal white head. Aroma of corn and candied sugar. Taste is more of a corny malt dominant. A bit boring.
2.9 Very crisp and refreshing, with a somewhat sweet scent. Nice bready aftertaste, no bitterness.
2.3 13th Dec 2014. On-tap in Hacker-Pschorr, Hamburg: 0.3 litre glass. Light golden body, bright, clean and clear. Mild (OK subtle) taste, no aroma: boring but refreshing. Typical Helles to be honest, not a lot going on!
3.3 Buona. Amara con retrogusto persistente. Leggera e ottima per accompagnare piccoli pasti e aperitivi.
3.0 From tap at Pschorr München. Pours golden with medium white head. Malt and yeast aroma. Unspectacular. Taste is light bitter, light sweet, malty. Typical Helles with rather low carbonation. Served ice cold from wood keg. Good sessiin beer.
3.8 On tap at the Essen Haus - Golden pour with a soapy white head. Nose is honey malt, light doughy yeast, and very little hop presence. Taste is a little less sweet, but the honey and dough is still there. A bit of herbal hop bite on the finish. Slick and medium carbonation.
3.1 On tap at Der Pschorr, Munich. Smooth, sweet, bland. Lokos good, well suited to the tourist trade.
3.0 Light hazy yellow colour with a white head. Taste is mild sweet, with a very low hop presence.
3.1 Tap from the barrel at der Pschorr am V-markt. Clean and clear golden with a lacing, frothy dark white head. Rich golden malt nose, simple malt taste, sweet and lightly bready. Clean and unremarkable.
3.0 Vom Holzfass im Pschorr / Viktualienmarkt, Munich Sehr stabiler Schaum, goldene Farbe.
3.0 From wooden keg@Der Pschorr, Münich Clear golden color, big cloudy white creamy head, lots of lace. Very herbal hoppy nose with hints of metal. Light-bodied. Smooth palate. Pale maltyness, some sweetness, herbal hoppyness with short finish. Good drink with greasy Bavarian food.
3.5 At Pschorr in Munich. Nice beer. I especially enjoyed that I could get it from the wood cask. Smooth and creamy. Matly and a little grassy hops. Serving: Tap from Wood
3.6 On tap, Der Pschorr, Munchen, Viktualenmarkt. First beer of our discovery tour and a starting station of my helles-loving procedure. Solidly sweet and a bit dry and delicious. Exhausting beer for a good conservation.
2.1 Tastes like a trashy lager with the slightest hint of decency. Alright for that kind of thing but that’s it. No aftertaste. On tap at beerbistro.
2.8 Originally rated August 2005. Sampled from their brown 500ml bottle in a lager glass. Pours a clear yellow colour with a small white head that is foamy (not creamy like the description says). Retention and carbonation is light. Also, small amounts of lacing. The scent is of grass and alcohol. Mouthfeel is creamy. The taste starts off with sweet malt and stays until the grassy hop kicks in the aftertaste. Dry finish and slight sourness in the background. Not too bad, but nothing to exciting. Recommended to those who like it grassy.
3.0 Lacy blond colour with bubbly white head. Fairly straightforward German lager that can be drunk over and over at a BBQ or beer hall.
3.9 On tap at Beer Bistro, Toronto. Beautiful clear pale yellow pour with ringy foam. Aroma of fresh cereal, pale malt, light citrus notes and fresh bread. Taste is citrusy with lots of cereals, all you need. Nice carbonation on the palate, light bodied. Pretty much as good as it gets, definitely could drink this all night long.
3.1 500ml bottle poured a pale golden straw color with a small white head and a few spots of lacing. Aroma is light fruits and grain. Taste is lightly sweet malts and fruit with a mild bitter finish. Light to medium body with some modest carbonation and a decent mouthfeel. An acceptable beer that is refreshing to drink.
2.7 Tap. Golden yellow pour with a white head. Aroma was sweet grain. Medium to light palate. Easy-drinking grain and mild fruit taste.
3.3 On tap at Town Crier in Toronto. Appearance : Clear pale yellow with almost no head. Aroma : Nice malt with light grain and citrusy notes. Taste : Malt and grain with citrusy hops. Nice citrusy finish with lots of malt too. Faint bitterness. Overall : Nice stuff, really refreshing and drinkable. Nice citrusy notes. I’ve had much better Helles though.
2.9 From the keg at Der Pschorr, Munich. Thick creamy white head. Clear golden pour. Ok but not that special
4.0 Vom Fass at Der Pschorr. It is a tasty brew with a sweet malt flavor and just enough hops in the finish.
3.0 Pours crystal clear "apple juice" yellow. Thin band of head. Malt-forward aroma - grainy, biscuity stuff. Soft grassy hop backing. Taste is strong biscuity malt (with a touch of alcohol?). Bit of bitterness on the finish, but not a strong hoppy aroma. Nothing too compelling in taste or aroma but it gets lots of drinkability points.
3.7 from wooden barrel @ der Pschorr. Full of fruity malts in the aroma and the finish has a delightful, mild woodiness that marries well with the sweet pale malts. Lovely.
3.2 In bottle; very easy drinking beer. Nothing special but a good solid choice. I do prefer this over the Muncher Gold.
