4.012oz bottle from Bottlecraft San Diego. Pours a murky, muddy brown with a tan ring. Huge aroma with hints of sourness and strong, dark, sweet, malt. Massive flavor with syrup, light fruitiness and loads of dark malt. Just a hint of bitterness for balance. The finish almost reminds me of strong, sweet, black tea. This is a massive beer but it avoids being too much. Of course it better be good since it cost $26!

4.4Thanks to Matt for this awesome brew! Superior!

Sweet malty aroma, some wood, some prunes. Flattish palate. Some mango in the taste, fruity, raisins. Good barley wine, but a bit sugary. Alcohol not well hidden, alas.

[ As Hair of the Dog Otto from the Wood ].
Clear medium amber color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, dried fruit, coconut, sweet malt, initial quit buzzy alcohol - but is clears up quick, light wood - oak. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long long duration, dried fruit - coconut, sugary, caramel, sweet malt, alcohol, bread - wood - oak. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is flat, finish feel is light to light moderate alcoholic. Nice ;) [20161018]
