3.9 Unclear, golden colored, medium white frothy head, good lasting. Aroma is of some pale malt, bit caramel, some orange, citrusy and pine moderate+ hops. Taste is medium sweet malt, some caramel, light orange, moderate+ citrusy and piney hops, medium+ bitterness, dry finish, lasting bitter aftertaste. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, oily. (can)
3.9 1 pint can - it pours a clear light pale yellow with a med white head. Likable aroma of floral hops, orange blossom, citrus zest, herbs and a hint of vanilla. Great flavor with a light malty body.
3.4 Pour is a slight chill haze golden with a large white head. Aroma is bitter orange peel and a wee bit of pineapple. Flavor is more orange peel with some lime juice. Finish is clean and not a bitter as I thought it was going to be. This is a simple easy drinking IPA. No exotic bells or whistles here. Just pale malt and and some slightly bitter hops.
3.4 Pint can from Whole Foods (Philadelphia, PA). Citrusy and piney aromas, orange, grapefruit. Mostly clear orange-amber with a somewhat lasting white head. Dry, bitter, citrusy. Medium-full bodied.
3.2 Pours a cloudy golden with a dull white head. Understated everything. Aromas and flavor. Overhyped.
4.0 Can at home from Grumpy Goat, 6th September 18. Pours a nice clear orange. Aroma is aromatic floral hops. Taste is clean and perfume hops, nice and bitter, pith and orange marmalade, grapefruit, bitter floral linger in the finish. Good stuff
3.8 Draft @ BBP.
3.3 Can 1 pint. Pours an almost clear yellow with a white head. Hoppy, herbal aroma, rich in lupulins - dank. Medium body, fruity and dry, chalky. Dry finish with a rather subdued bitterness. 300818
4.0 Clear pale gold pour with a three finger, fluffy, off white head. Aroma is sweet citrus, melon, passionfruit, biscuit and a little dank. Flavor is bright citrus, honey, biscuit and a little cereal up front, then dank, tropical fruit, sweet melon and a little sweet pine. Light to medium body, crisp, slightly chalky feel, dry finish, medium carbonation. Really tasty stuff, I like the sweet and fruity, but crisp and somewhat dry nature.
3.3 27th August 2018 Can. Almost clear gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and mildly dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Thin malts, mildly sweet and slightly grainy. Smooth pine. Little tangy orange peel. Touches of lemon and tangerine. Whisper of ripe mango. Light and slightly tangy bitter finish. Inoffensive but lacks a centre. Weak malt backbone and a slightly thin hops, yet still, somehow, okay.
3.8 The aroma is crisp, clean and full of tangerine, mandarin and orange. The color is straw yellow with a haze to it and the head is white and soapy. The taste is crisp, clean, grassy, piney and full of citrus fruits. A nice beer!
3.8 473 ml can. Canned on 16.07.2018. Pours clear golden color with a large white head. Citric fruits on the nose, hops, pine, some resin too, pale malts. Flavor is fruity with citrus and mild grapefruits, bitter hops, some malty notes, some subtle pineapple on the finish. Nice and refreshing fruity IPA without being juicy. 4515

3.6 16 oz can to pint (canned 07/20/18; shared with the Mrs.). Looks solid; a transparent gold with foamy white head. Smells and tastes of fruity hops alongside a moderately bittersweet backbone. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied and pleasantly bitter. Enjoyable.
3.7 Can from Cotteridge Wines; clear golden amber pour with a bubbly white head, aroma has sweet malts and tangerine, taste has crisp malts, mellow citrus, some pine, quite an old school refreshing well balanced IPA
4.0 Can from Cork & Cask. Hazy golden body with a thin white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of orange, tomato, watermelon, herbs and grapefruit. Flavour of menthol, orange and bitter hops. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. A clean, bitter IPA - like they all used to be a couple of years ago before the NE IPA craze. This is great.
3.6 Pint can from Canal's in Berlin. Nose generic contemporary tropical fruit and pith, pour extremely hazy golden with a sudsy off-white head. Taste next to bone dry and moderately bitter, does pick up some sweetness from the hops eventually, blended PNW citrus with a little mango and vague tropical pith, does have soft medium caramel that lingers and very distinct oat/wheat grit in the smooth feel. Fullish but not too heavy body, smooth with tight, restrained carbonation, caramel and low-level bitterness that linger after the finish, but also rounded by a milt and bright tartness. Just a hint of bad alcohol seep. This one doesn't excite me anymore, but compliments for sure, this is textbook. [2018.08.07: 3.6]
3.5 on tap the source. smooth and fresh with lace sheet. competent for sure. bump overall.
3.7 Clear rich golden under a thin foamy white head. Big resiny piney dank hoppy aroma with juicy floral tones. Bitter flavor that’s piney and resinous, a little dank, a touch sharp. Bright and pale, a touch malty, and semidry. Nice bright resiny bitterness.
4.0 DATE: AUGUST 2, 2018... OCCASION: finally finished with the front porch, we celebrate by catching up in the new season of Battle Bots... GLASSWARE: HopDevil nonick... pours a frothy, thick clump of off-white head that rings its cavern with an expansive web around the glass... the body is gold, hazy, and lively, suggesting an East Coast influence... brilliant pineapple, heavy mango, toasted oats, honey, orange citrus, light pine, flowers, and some late resin--a potpourri of alluring aromas! Each sip welcomes the next, with a medium-bodied ease and a slightly textured finish that remains... this is one IPA that gets balance, from its citric/resin pitch to its toasted malts, from its bitter hops to its mellow draw... this drinks like a pale but packs enough flavor to be an India... besides its active, artistic can design, this beer laces well and leaves an agreeable experience behind....
3.5 Pint can. Dank grapefruit hop aroma with notes of tropical fruit, floral and pine resiny hops. Pours pale golden colored with a large white head that has excellent retention and lacing. Starts with dank grapefruit and tropical fruit hop flavors. Finishes very dry with floral and pine resiny hop flavor and bitterness. Pretty nice ipa.
3.0 On tap at Hops and Pie poured a clear gold with a lasting white head. Aromas of bread, earthiness and light grapefruit. Palate was light bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of bread, citrus and light earthiness with a smooth dry finish.
3.6 On tap at Hops & Pie. Clear golden appearance with a lacy white head. Aroma of fresh pine, resinous hops, mild herbs, light grains and light zesty citrus notes. Similar flavor, addium medium to heavy bitterness and minimal sweetness. Medium plus body with a lingering bitter/hoppy finish. Intense.
3.0 Draft. Pours a medium, off white head, with moderate lacing, over a mildly hazy, dark yellow (SRM 4) body......nose is herbs, grass, mild malts, all aromas are mild, balance to the hops......taste mild malts, herb, grass, from the light hops, bitterness on the finish is light, balance to the hops......mouth feel, medium light body, mild alcohol, moderate carbonation. This is less of an IPA and is slightly more towards of the style of a light APA. The malt and hop backbones are both quite simple. It is drinkable, but not interesting because it misses the stated style. BJCP 7/3/8/4/5
3.4 $9 On tap at The Publican at O’Hare airport. Pours hazy gold with a soft off-white head. Aroma is heavy citrus peel, orange and grapefruit. Flavor is bitter grapefruit peel, green hops, soap, pine, resin. Good.
3.5 Tap at torst. Pours slightly hazy gold. Aroma and flavor are doughy cracker malt base, floral and citrus hops, faint tropical fruit notes, and moderate bitterness with a dry finish. Medium body
4.2 Pint from can bought at Whole Foods (NYC). Clean, light, but hoppy IPA. Piney and floral
3.3 Golden color, lightly hazy, foam is fine and medium in size. Smells dank, orange and honey smells. The beer taste medium sweet, it’s like crystal candy mixed with malty liquor. It’s quite malty, showing some caramelized candy sweet like a traditional west coast double IPA. But the maltiness is not overwhelming, it’s juicy in mouth. There’s tobacco, pear, strawberry, vanilla aromas, and have warm sweet citrus fruitiness. The ending shows west coast IPA’s character, it’s herbal, earthy, bitter, grapefruit peel, roasted pine needle aromas. The ending shows a sharp transition from mostly sweet to bitter and dry mouth feeling. It’s a OK IPA, not very impressive. The color is great, but it lacks the yeast’s flavor.
3.5 Draft at Torst. Pours hazy gold with a creamy white head. Tastes like grapefruit hops, resin, pale malts, and some floral. Light body and low/medium carbonation. Smells like resin, pale malts, grapefruit hops, and some floral.
3.7 Tap @Luppolo Station in Rome. Golden hazy with a white adhesive foam. Nose: pretty malty, resinous, straight-forward ipa aroma. Mouth: refreshing thirst-quenching ipa, grapefruit, resinous bitterness. Lovely.
