Hancock Old Gambrinus Beer Dark

Hancock Old Gambrinus Beer Dark

2.8 Very mild
2.0 Not My kind of beer
3.2 500mml. bottle as part of a trade with @fonefan, many thanks!. @Barcelona (Spain), 27/10/2019. [#3.080 Global - #226 Denmark - #1 Hancock Bryggerierne (My #38 Danish Brewery)] Dark amber to brown colour with a medium tan head. Aroma is caramel malts, dried fruits and soft wood. Taste is also caramel malts and soft wood leading to an intense caramelly finish. Next one please!
5.0 Så dejlig og saftig
4.7 En virkelig lækker sød øl, nærmest en smule portvin - en favorit!
5.0 Totally biased since I grew up in Skive (hometown of the brewery) but this is my alltime favorite beer
3.5 Nice taste, nice darkness, smells ok. A strong beer one takes one or two of
2.8 On bottle. Pours clear deep red/brown, with small head. Scent: Wine-ish, sweet, malts. Taste: Small roasted malts, wine, prunes and dates. Texture: Quite thin, medium to small co2.
4.2 Aroma: caramel, toast, nuts Appearance: brown, amber, clear, minimal head Taste: medium sweetness, medium bitterness Palate: medium body, average carbonation
3.3 Clear, very deep copper body with a fizzy, short-lived, beige head that leaves no foamy marks on my glass. Quite strong aroma of dark caramel, dark dried fruits, brown sugar, and alcohol. Rather strong flavour that follows the aroma, with a the addition of a yeasty crispness. Varming and pleasant alcohol. Moderate to heavy sweet taste, with a light bitterness in the finish. Full body, slick mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Quite nice, and very Danish (i.e. mostly caramel). [33 cl bottle, 5 enjoyed months before BB date, from Dagli' Brugsen Blokhus, Jylland, Denmark]
4.6 flaske andelbread, nuts, caramel, vanilla, brown, clear, tan foam, medium sweetness, medium bitterness, medium body, average carbonation, God øl.
3.0 Ravfarget klsr med fingerhøyt beige skum. Lukter kandissukker, noe melkesjokolade og noe trevirke. Middels fylde.
1.6 Very discreet sweet caramel & malt aroma. Clear brown with no head. Unbalanced medium sweet & medium dry taste. Medium body, oily texture & average carbonation.
3.4 Bottle. Pours Dark amber with a white head. Aroma of chewy caramel, Dark fruits, caramel, slight raisins, quite fruity overall, light grains. Taste is rather sweet, loads of Dark fruits and caramel, rather fruity, slight sugar.
3.3 Duft karamel malt sødme smag karamel vitrus malt sød sirup svag frugt sød kant
3.0 Bottle. Pours clear amber with a medium beige head. Aroma is mild dark fruit, caramel, maise and booze. Taste is medium sweet and mild bitter. Finishes a little sweet and alcoholic with lingering bitter caramel.
3.2 Mørkebrun med kort skum. Malt, blommer og svesker i næsen. Medium fylde, der primært kommer fra alkoholen. Sød. Fin billigøl.
5.0 God øl
1.4 Same as the light version. Can´t taste much difference. So, why make two of them?
4.0 Very good strong beer. Dark malted and tasty
3.9 This is s fine ass beer. For $2 you get bundles of sweet dark malts, caramel, coffee, bready yeast and just a light kiss from the booze which is super hidden at 9.5% abv. Some dark fruits as well and a malty, almost hvidtøl like aftertaste. Mouthfeel is alive but creamy. A true classic.
3.7 God mørk øl. Lidt for meget alkohol, men ellers fin og frisk i smagen. Flot udseende.
3.3 33cl aged bb07/2016, in 2016 EU Swap merci fonefan. - Indeed a strong, but not too heavy Doppelbock version of a Danish barleywine/red wine. Slick yet light brown malts with a rummy twist, diluted caramels...some vanilla in aroma - aged well, decent fare of oldschool quality but not too spectacular in terms of fullness of flavour for this abv.
3.8 25-FEB-2017, bottle @home, brought by Morten WHO got it as a present from Mads. Thx. both :-) Best Before 08 12 11 making it more than six years old. How old? Don’t know. Hazy, dark Brown with a low, lasting, off-white head. Taste is caramel, Wood, cherry, Brown sugar. Clearly old but still very much alive. Soft carbonation, low bitterness, sweet but never cloying. Nice. A lot better than I remember fresh versions.
2.3 From the bottle poured into nosing glass poures dark brown with little to no head. Nose of malts and booze. Taste is boozy herbal hops and unpleasent boozy finish... Nahhhh
