3.6 When I first looked at the bottle, I was not only excited but ecstatic to try this brew. Upon first sip, admittedly it was quite bitter. I understand how this particular flavor is not for all like liberty and justice. But, personally, as one whom eats lemons whole, this lambic was quite elegant. As the beer in the glass decreased, my love for this majestic lambic increased. You can truly taste the oaky afterbirth of the black currants. A beer fit for every occasion. This lambic will satiate your every mood.
4.0 My friend Egbert brought me one of these and this was discovered after he left, after a weekend of heavy heavy drinking. The yeast spiderweb and the lack of carbonation tells me that this is old. Very old. Pop the cork and it's flat as fuck. All these signs tell me that I'm on to something special. So, like a veteran, I drink it from the bottle. I don't care what color it is or the lacing. So I drank this really rare old beer and it was delicious. Sour, sweet, take your pick. Sometimes you just want to enjoy a beer and not think too much about it. This was a wonderful beer.
3.9 Bottle @ Home, 2016 vintage. Hazy dark Ruby red liquid, with no head. Dry, medium tart with a really good duration. Flavors of black currant, vanilla, acetone, some horse, oak, cherries ,lemon, leather. The black currants blends really well.
3.6 375ml bottle from Carwyn Cellars? 6% ABV bottled Feb 2017 Purpley red body, kinda cloudy when poured with sediment, not much of a head. Pretty damn funky aroma - vinous red and black fruits in abundance, sort of inky and brooding, get a good deal of leathery horsey sweaty funk in the mix, hard cheese, old grapefruit... Awww yeah good tartness to it, has a fair acetic bite to it, tannic, kinda ropey, persistent, mouthwatering. Blackcurrant in good measure, vinous, has its own tartness and tannin about it; then there's an oakiness in the mix, lots of buggy funk lending loads of tartness and earthy Farmhouse character that hangs around. Certainly packs a punch; fruit isn't over the top, provides its own complexity amongst serious funk
4.1 Bottle. Murky purple red color. Aroma of black currants, forest berries, oak, funky. Sour, berries (mainly black currants), lemon, plumes, notes of acetone, wood, dry finish. Medium-bodied, chewy, fizzy. Great.
3.9 Bottle. Nose is funk, big brett, cheese, cherry, floral, farmyard, summer fruit. Taste is more tart/sour than funk which I had not expected from the nose; lemon, green apple, black current, salt, oak, vinegar, leading to a dry slightly brett finish. The nose is spectacular the taste only good, but still very enjoyable.
4.0 Clear amber with minimal white head. Blackcurrant, resin, some meaty aromas, funk, lemon peel, some floral notes, horse blanket. Dry, salty and tart. Nice body, long lingering aftertaste, oily texture. Very nice indeed.
4.0 500ml bottle, shared by GenDv138, thanks Donnie! Poured a bright red color with a wispy white head. Aroma was super tart, light funky notes. Dried fruit fruity notes. Tart. Puckering. Very tasty.
3.4 Barwa rubinowa, piana mała. Aromat porzeczki, octowy, stajenny. W smaku kwaśna porzeczka, stajnia, ocet, posmaki winne. Spoko pifko.
3.8 Zapach intensywny, porzeczki, ocet winny, stajnia, siano. Kolor rubinowy, opalizujące. Piany brak. W smaku wytrawne, kwaśne, średnia pełnia, porzeczki, ocet winny, wino, stajnia, skóra, siano, drewno. Goryczki brak, wysycenie niskie.
3.3 Bottle at home, as Hanssens Cassis Lambic. Pours reddish dark amber with small pinkish head. Aroma of horse stable, medicine, red berries, tobacco, wood, vanilla. Tastes very sour, a bit salty. Low carbonation, medium bodied, slightly bitter finish.
3.5 Flaska från SB, vintage 2016. Mörk rödlila, knappt något skum alls. Näst intill slät. Djupa vinäger-toner möter svarta vinbärsgelé. Tänk en svarta vinbärs-vinägrett. Fina bär-toner.
Lambiky, obzvláště ovocné, mám velice rád a když je příležitost si je koupit, nikdy neváhám. Ta kombinace čisté kyselosti a ovocnosti je k nezaplacení :) (y)
3.9 Botella del @Señor Lúpulo. Despacho de cervezas, Gijón 11/11/2018 Color rojizo corona de espuma blanca escasa, aromas intensos a fruta, sabor ácido con notas frutales, notas sedosas rica
4.3 Botella. As "Hanssens Cassis Lambic". Hazy purple like look. Lovely tart sour berry fruity aroma, so tart! Some old horse blanket. Good palate indeed. Flavour is quite tart and fruity, chicken butt! Sour, dry, salty as it's so sour. very nice. Yeast brett fruity tart pleasant finish.
3.3 0.375 l bottle from 'Saveur Bière', bottled in April 2016, cellared for two years. Slightly hazy, deep ruby, no head. Slightly sweetish, sourish, quite funky and rather fruity aroma of blackcurrant, lemon, horse blanket and some red grapes. Slightly sweet, quite sour, rather fruity and slightly funky taste of blackcurrant, lemon, vinegar, red grapes, some oak and a touch of horse blanket, followed by a medium long, fairly tart, moderately dry, slightly woody and a bit vinous finish. Thin to medium body, almost oily mouthfeel, flat. Again too acidic, hardly enjoyable, still drinkable but only in small quantities.
3.8 Bottle, Cassis Lambic, bottled week 1 March 2018. Color: Red to purple, pink head. Aroma: Funk, pretty strong barnyard and horse blanket, blackcurrant. Taste: Moderate to medium tart, a lot of farm barnyard and horse blanket funk from the wild yeast, clearly present yet pretty subtle blackcurrant notes. Wood notes, dry-ish mouthfeel. Low carbonation. Long lasting funky fruity finish. Nicely balanced. I love the predominant funk in this beer.
4.5 375ml bottle from Vanuxeem. Pours a hazed deep purple, aroma is bristlingly sour dark berry funk. Taste is typically sharp and tart for Hanssens. Some pleasantly crisp blackcurrant notes, nicely balanced. Very good indeed.

3.5 37,5cl bottle, bottle date 02-2017. Pours a beautifully dark red-purple colour, almost no head. Nose has definite black berries alongside funky, sour cherry notes; nicely fruity. Taste is sweet and sour berries but lacks depth and body, light-medium sour, absent carbonation. Aftertaste lingers cassis fruity and tard.
4.0 Muddy purple colour, opaque, with no head to speak of. Big carbonation. Smell is funky wood and alcoholic fruitiness, spicy, with vanilla and minerals reminiscent of a good chardonnay. Sourwood, black berries, cherries, black pepper, clove. Wauw! Taste is sour with a good fizz, metallic and quite sticky, with a complex, mouthwatering finish. Almost meaty saltiness. Delicious!
4.0 A dark burgundy red ale with a thin lacing mauve head. In aroma, sweet dark fruits, blackberry, blueberry, light acidity, nice and smooth. In mouth, a tart yet sweet blackberry, with Epsom salts, light lemony notes, puckering sourness, very nice and complex. On tap at Redlight Redlight.
