4.0 let spritet, og lidt sur. billig stærk øl. En klassisk billig guldøl........
3.1 Can (7,7%) imported danish native type. Color is pale yellow with white head. Taste is malty with a sting of alcohol. Overall tasty!
2.3 Aroma: big melon malts, pear. Medium body. Sweet malty taste. Harsh alcohol bitterness.
1.9 330ml bottle from Systembolaget. Clear golden, frothy white head, some lacing. Sweet malty aroma, apricots, corn and grains. Soft carbonated, medium-bodied. Soft, grainy and sweet malty taste up front followed by a harsh metallic burn making it hard to enjoy.
2.1 #1084 Bottle. Clear orange body, small white head. Aroma of malts, liquer. Taste is neutral, malty, alcohol, touch of fruits and paper. Medium body, high carbonation. Bad, but not terrible :) Still drinkable.
2.1 Bottle 0.5l, brewed in Estonia, 7%ABV. Clear, gold colored. AROMA- malty. FLAVOR- slightly sweet, malty with touch of paper and alcohol. Medium bodied. Acceptable.
2.4 Golden colour, clear. Medium white head, sweet malt and alcohol, favorite Scandinavian type.
2.3 Bottle. Dark golden, fizzy carbonation, collapsing white foam.Sweet malt, sugary aroma. Light fruity sweet base otherwise surprisingly little taste, neither good nor bad - just enough hops to balance the initial sweetness, medium body, fizzy, lean alcohol from the sugar, a hint stickiness in the end, then notjhing. Boring alcohol delivery mechanism.
1.9 Can. Pours clear yellow with medium head. Aroma is sweet malts and alcohol. Taste is sweet malts, alcohol.
1.8 Bottle, 7.7% version, thanks Jonas! Oh boy, a Malt Likka. Let’s see. Pouring while still cold. Golden color with small creamy white head. Aroma is wet paper, straw, corn, raisins, syrupy booze, starch. Taste is surprisingly tart, wet cardboard and straw, warming alcohol, grainy sweetness, and a stingy boozy finish. Low to medium carbonation. Not a lot of fun, but not exactly terrible (yet - at least while being cold, but the off flavours already start showing up).
2.9 Can shared by VsXsV at the Hyatt lobby fart share on Tuesday evening - thanks again, Viktor! Pours a clear pale gold with a small white head that settles into a ring. Sugars, cereal, corn, straw, and sweet bread. Medium-bodied, with a smooth, sweet mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. I’m not sure if words like "elegance" and "beautiful harmony" (per the deScription) are appropriate, but this is a very good malted liquor.
2.5 Can shared. Clear gold pour with thin ring of white foam. Aroma is grainy, boozy, corn, light grape. Taste of corn sugar, sweet. Palate is light bodied, good carb.
2.7 Can - Sweet corn and apple. Pale gold with a small white head. Very sweet corn and apple.
3.0 Can shared during RBWG 2016 - big thanks to Viktor. Pours clear gold with a creamy white head. Nice simple pale bread in the nose, a bit of cereal and honey. Medium sweet flavor with hearty white bread, hay, meringue, damp grains. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sugary finish, lightly warming, with creamy pale bread. Not bad.
1.3 Can split in the hotel lobby, RBWG ’16, thanks to Viktor, 02/02/16. Golden blonde with a moderate off White covering. Nose is grain, cereal, light caramel, bread. Taste comprises caramel, grain, papery notes, sweet licks. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close. Blurgh.
2.2 Bottle shared at RBWG 2016. Thanks to Victor. Very pale yellow coloured pour, very clear and a fine white head. Aroma is apple, hot alcohol, ethanol, little musty. Flavour is composed of sweet malts, Apple , thin, papery, dusty, sweet apple juice. Palate is sweet and thin, moderate carbonation. Why.
2.1 Bottle at RBWG 2016. Thanks Viktor! Nose is strong candied Apple and sweet malt honey. Light peppery alcohol. Crystal clear pale yellow. Small white head. Taste is strong in malt sweetness followed by a moderate warming in the chest. Peppery finish. Decent enough.
1.8 Can at hotel lobby fart share @RBWG 2016. Clear light golden liquid with minimal white head. Aroma of grain, corn, metal, sugar, earth and cooked vegetables. Taste is light to medium sweet and light bitter with notes of grain, sugar and corn. Sweet lingering grainy finish. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Ugh.
2.1 Can @ Gutterners julefrokost Appearance: pours clear golden with ok soapy off-white head and lacing. aroma/taste: alcohol, light caramel and some fruity notes- apricot ?.palette light to medium malty aroma, average carbonation, medium body, notable sweetness, unbalanced by a light to medium bitterness, medium duration and a watery texture. Overall: highly unbalanced
1.5 Copenhagen 9/12 2015. 33 cl can from Netto. The Classic can with the Polar Bear. Pours slightly hazy yellow with white head. Settles as 0,5 cm thick layer of foam. Aroma is sugar sweet with some sharp sour notes and some booziness. Some soapy chemical unpleant odeur as well. Medium carbonation and thick palate. The good news is that the flavour is not as horrid as the smell. The bad news is that this does not make it very good. Taste is sour and metallic with a slightly nauseating sweet aftertaste. A unpleasant boozy botch. But I actually likes the can.
2.2 7.5% version. Golden colour, small white head that dissipates rapidly. Fruity and sugary aroma with notes of bubblegum. Taste is a cloying sweetness, medium bitterness, warming alcoholic finish. Very warming finish in fact. Yeah, not easy to drink.
3.0 Dorado con transparencia, buena espuma sin adherencia. Licoroso moderado, malta maltoso caramelo moderado bajo, lúpulo herbal bajo, ligera oxidación, ésteres a miel. En boca tibieza alcohólica moderada, malta maltoso caramelo moderado bajo, lúpulo herbal bajo, untuosa, ligera oxidación y DMS. Final maltoso dulce, licoroso, amargor bajo sin astringencia. Carbonatación buena, cuerpo medio.
2.8 Bottiglia. 8,3%. Apprezzabile, tutto sommato.
1.4 Transferring old Data - I drank this can a few years ago, but I remember it being one of the typical danish industry strong beers. A lot of alcohol combined with a raw, metallic taste. My memory matches the other ratings so I might as well add it.
1.0 This beer has a pleasant aroma and mellow fruit and malt and it maintains its moderate foam layer for a long time. Mouth feeling is bold, very malty with apparent good fruit tones and hop bitterness is sufficiently balanced in the malt and fruit sweetness while alcohol warms in the mouth. These are all works perfectly and comfortable until the discount Bear lashes out at the mouth and leaves an aftertaste of synthetic and metallic acidity throughout the mouth. My can taste is a metallic taste. From the back label, I quote: Strength united with elegance - a beer that should be enjoyed with respect. What a time drunken hogwash! Shame to call it a beer,
2.4 7.7% ABV. Bottle looks very simple. Beer in the glass deep golden, small head. Starts strong, malty, quite alcoholic, sharp. Some soapy notes. Unbalanced finish. Nothing special.
