2.6500ml Flasche. Klar und bernsteinfarben mit minimaler Schaumkrone. Leichte Karamellnoten. Etwas malzig. Im Abgang leicht herb.
3.2A Xmas ale by name but not by taste surely a all year round ale loved the taste crispy not fruity and I’d certainly buy again but if o gotta wAit 12 months I will
5.0A very pleasant beverage which I have had the pleasure of enjoying both from the bottle and the cask. This beer should be for life not just for christmas.

3.3500ml bottle kindly shared by Finn. Good looking with a deep copper coloured body under a remaining, off-white head. Spotty lacing. Dark caramel-fruity aroma. Fine blended taste profile of slightly roasted caramel malts and English, leafy hops. Smooth bittersweet ending. Drinks very well. Typical for the style and I like it (Session at Finn’s place in Tromsø, 02.02.2017).
3.1Flaske 500ml fra Kilpishalli. Delt med Rune i heimen 2.2.17. Mørk amber. Lavt kremaktig skum. God karamellaroma. Smaken mye malt ispedd litt krydder. Litt julestemning i denne.
2.4Backlog. Bottle, 0.5l. Clear amber pour with very visible carbonation. Small sized slightly off-white head with poor retention. Practically no lacing. Smell is malty and grassy.
Thin body with watery texture. High carbonation. Bittersweet taste with notable metallic acidity. Aroma of malts and caramel. A bit grassy, touch of bread and vanilla. Watered down and quite subdued, works really poor in combination with very high carbonation level. Dry finish.
Overall, mediocre bitter.
2.8Copenhagen 22/1 2017. 50 cl bottle from Skjold Burne. Transparent glass bottle with Rudolph playing the guitar on the label. With a glowing red snout. Looks kind of delirious. Pours clear dark reddish brown with small white head. Head diminishes rapidly leaving only small remnants of foam. Aroma is caramel, butter and a skunky odeur that leads you to believe that the beer has been exposed to the sun for too long. Soft carbonation and slightly thick palate. Flavor is pretty well balanced. Medium sweet followed by typical English bitterness. Not bad - but a bit too much of skunky aroma.
2.7500ml bottle. Clear, dark ruby colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, sulphureous head. Slightly wet strawy, mellow malty aroma, half-baked fruity hints of red berries and cherry. Taste is minimally doughy malty and bitter hoppy, minimally toasty-spicy nutty malty overtones. Rather boring - maybe useful as a kind of "neutralizer" between all the heavy and spicy Xmas specialties.
2.9Bottle from the Champion of the Thames. Light russet brown, thin and clear with only slight head. Metallic filtered-to-hell beer smell, but there’s a nice berry and forest floor scent underlying this. Taste is pretty good, with vanilla fudge sweetness tempered by fruity hop. The finish unfortunately throws a bit of astringency, which doesn’t work at all. Far too carbonated. Disappointing.
2.6Clear, sparkling mahogany, thin light brown head. Dry and malty aroma, wood, bit caramel, raisins, over-ripe banana, dough. Light to medium body, low carbonation, malty. Bit dull actually.
2.6500ml bottle. Pours dark reddy brown with a small head. Aroma is dusty toffee and yeasty ribena. Taste has berries to start and a burnt caramel finish.

3.0Bottle appeared one winter few years ago at a local Konzum store in Zagreb. Shared with Marko. Amber, diminishing whiter head. Dominating malty aromas. Strong caramel in the beginning, dry fruits. Light, some hops in the finish, dry aftertaste. This could be much better.
2.8Pours copper with white head. Aroma is caramel and berries. Flavour is light to medium bitter, metal, light sweet and berries.
2.6Bottle from Aldi, Eccles. Reddish-amber with a glow and no head. Has an easy-drinking texture with a light sweetness followed by a small bitterness.
3.150cl bottle. Pours clear dark amber colour with a mid-sized beige head. Aroma of red malt, red berries, nuts. Taste of mild bitter hops, red malt and berries, some nuts, okay!
Vollkommen in Ordnung.
1.7Appearance: clear Amber with small off white foam. Aromas: Malt, grassy, subtle caramel notes, quite metallic. Taste: very watery malt with a hint of nutmeg, very simple with alcohol flavour, Palate: light bodied with minimal depth, thin in texture watery bitter. Overall: Dissapointing seasonal offering, too watery for my taste.
1.7Clear amber color with minimal off white foam. Aromas of light malt and bit metallic tones, very typical casual bitter. Palate, Light body with light texture leaving little hint of malt on the aftertaste. Taste of watered down bitter, bit metallic, malty and not amazing. Overall, poor bitter, not recomended.

2.8How: Bottle.
Where: SimCorp Pub, Copenhagen.
Appearance: Amber colour with an off-white head.
Aroma: Caramel, malt, fruit.
Body: Medium body and carbonation.
Flavour: Caramel, butter, hops, fruit, malt.
2.9Classic bitter appearance- copper, clear, with a small foamy head. Aroma of caramel, grassy hops, bready malt hints. Taste is more of the same- vague hop bitterness, then fruitiness towards the finish. Solid, unspectacular.
2.7Pours clear reddish brown with a small head. Aroma: Pale malt. Taste: Medium sweet, mild bitterness. Malty flavours. Minerals. Some hops. Palate: Quite light body. OK.
3.3Bottle. Copper color, off-white head. Fairly sweet aroma. The flavor has dark fruit, syrup and some sweet spices. Malty finishh. Medium body, medium carbonation. Not bad. Would've thought this to be a dark lager.
2.5Jan ’15. A 0.5 l bottle. It poured clear red body with a small, short living head. A bit metallic roasted caramel aroma. Lightly bitter, dry flavor, like a typical English macro bitter. Biscuit&caramel were more or less everything offered, lightly herbal, too. Medium bodied, but its simplicity gave away watery impression. Shorter finish. After some nice beers of the evening this was expectedly mediocre, even bad for a Christmas brew of any kind. Drinkable though.
