1.3 Sampled in a blind taste-test on 11/9/2019. Zero aroma - literally nothing. Pours an amber color. Slight anise flavor, with hints of wet leather.
2.9 Golden color. Nose. Malt, caramel-honey notes of floral-grassy hops. Taste: Soft body of beer. Taste of malt, floral notes. The finish is with a small hop-grassy-floral bitterness. Very good for Lager!
2.5 Aromas frutales y un poco manzana Aspecto bueno espuma fina persistente En boca ligera y plana
2.4 Found on tap at the Carolina Renaissance Fair. Pours a clear golden with medium but short lasting foam. Taste is a bit worse than average for the style.
5.0 Light and crisp
3.4 On tap in Portmagee, Ireland. Clear golden with a decent white head. Light citrus aroma. Taste is grain, citrus, very gentle bitterness. Very good Lager.
2.9 Pours golden with a thick white head. Aroma of sweet and full malt. Taste has grain elements, sweet malt. Palate contains honeyed malt. Interesting, more full bodied than most lagers.
3.0 Pours a clear straw yellow with a foamy white head. Simple light lager taste. Nothing special
3.3 11.2 ounce bottle poured into a brandy snifter. The beer is a clear gold with a white head of foam. Grainy honey and sweet phyllo dough aroma. Sweet and grainy taste. Medium body and medium carbonation. Overall a decent beer.
3.5 Review: 500ml can of Harp Lager: 4.0% vol. The brand was traditionally marketed with the Brian Boru harp as its main emblem. These days the bottle and design is all modern, still has the famous harp logo but it’s this time blended in with a striking blue colour that it’s barely noticeable. Pity really. Lower alcohol rate in Ireland, cause we can’t be trusted with stronger volumes of beer! On the appearance it looks fine, a standard enough look for a lager really, good frothy white head and a golden coloured beer on show. Ok. On the nose it was pretty odorless really. Disappointing. It is light on the taste, a bit thin but pretty crisp, clean and very smooth, relaxing and soft on the tongue, goes down very easy. Nice and creamy mouthfuls hitting the spot. Typical lagery taste, grainy with mild hops, barley and malts, a touch of citrus. All perfectly balanced. Enjoyable, a nice one to sip and enjoy slowly. Over time enjoyed it a lot, best lager I have had in awhile. Feels very nourishing, not with a huge array of flavours but crispy enough to do the business. Just a bloody good lager. Recommended for a slow day on the sofa watching the football! Best lager in a while, nourishing, nice to sip slowly, just a great lager. Simplicity.
5.0 Smooth, light and crisp. Medium light larger flavor not over powering, refreshing and clean. An Irish pilsner it is! My go to beer. Now they just need to do something about the packaging, its ridiculous.
3.5 Crisp, clean biscuit aroma with a touch of vanilla. Beautiful crystal clear golden yellow with very fine carbonation resulting in a fine, foamy white head. More of that clean biscuit malt in the taste with a bit of toast and wood to it and some light caramel sweetness. A very light earthy bitterness in follows up to balance the sweetness which ends up coming back at the end of the sip. Creamy body for such a light beer. Finishes lightly sweet with a lasting light vanilla and a bit of leafy bitterness. Very clean, very refreshing.
2.6 ひたすら薄い。アメリカのlight並みに薄い。不味くないけど全く旨くない
3.4 Clear gold. Bright, grassy flavors with a cracker finish. It's no world beater, but for a macro pale lager, it's definitely one of the better ones out there. Stays consistent in quality, whether draft or bottle. Beer of choice at UK in EPCOT for #SnackCOT2019.
2.9 (11.2oz bottle, 4.5% ABV) AROMA: moderate lager malt notes, wet paper, light biscuit APPEARANCE: golden yellow, clear, bright, good visible carbonation, dense tight bubble foam that starts thick and lingers a while TASTE: medium light lager flavors, moderate grain, slight edge of Noble hops, green veggies PALATE: medium light body, smooth, slightly creamy, not very astringent, short finish, refreshing OVERALL: a respectable lager, nice euro/pilsner aspects, smooth and easy, okay graininess, very drinkable with no negative attributes.

2.5 12 oz single bottle from Tipsy's Liqour World. Clear golden appearance with a lingering white head and sticky lacing. Aroma of toasted grain, mild bready notes, light earthiness and a hint of fruit. Similar flavor, adding mild sweetness and a touch of bitterness. Light body with a slight watery feel and a soft finish. Not bad.
1.8 I used to buy Harp Lager several years ago; aka 10+ years ago. Back then I think it used to be much better. I thought it actually had a distict flavor; a unique character. I cannot say the same today. Back when i used to get it over 10 years ago they used to have a royal blue label with a tan "harp" logo both on the 6 pack and also on the bottle label and lid. Back then I would have described the beer as flavorful, distinct, and satisfying; even refreshing. Today's review is almost the exact opposite. I think maybe they changed the recipe along with the label. At some point I remember they changed the label to light green. It seems at that time there may have been a recipe change, if I recall from my experience, a change in taste. All I know is that as of 08/2018 at the time I am writing this review, I did not care for this beer. My initial impression was that the flavor had no unique identifiable characteristic whatsoever. I thought to myself that if I had done a blind taste taste and somebody told me that this Harp was actually Michelob ultra light, Bud light, or Tecate, I think that would have been believable. The closest flavor or lack thereof that I could relate to with this version of Harp would be Tecate Mexican beer which I absolutely despise. The only way I could drink this Harp was by adding some lemon or lime. Otherwise it had no defining character whatsoever, in my opinion. After this experience, I will never buy Harp Lager again. I hate it when beer companies change their labels. It means that they are not standing on solid ground. It represents inconsistency and unreliability in the eye of the long standing consumer. I stopped buying New Belgium beer for this same reason. I prefer brands that maintain a consistent permanent brand image over time image; something that does not change. To me this represents trust and commitment to unwavering quality instead of fly by night changes. If Guiness knew it's head from a hole in the ground, they would revert to their original brand packaging and the original recipe of Harp lager which actually had flavor and a unique character, instead of a total lack thereof. I would call the current recipe completely vacant. It's not character and uniqueness that defines it, but a lack thereof. It's like a ghost; a shell of it's former self and I find that to be very sad and disappointing.
3.0 Tastes nice. It is a good beer to have with barbecue.
1.9 400 ml can. Clear gold color with minimal small white head. Smells watter and barley. Taste are some barley and corn notes with water. Almost no aftertaste. Nothing more too ad
0.5 Tastes how I imagine what piss would taste like if you put it through a Soda Stream.
2.0 I used to think this stuff was great. Had a pint in N.Ireland. Just a sweetish lager.
3.0 UK version capped at 4% in a blue can. Has a strong corn syrup, cardboard malt and urinal cake smell. Taste reveals some sweet citrus, grass and corn syrup notes. A bit too gassy for my tastes. I would happily pick this above most lagers though.
2.3 Tall can from BC Liquor store in north Burnaby. A light to medium amber beer with generous white head and a faint malted nose. On the palate it's more sweet than bitter, as expected for the pale lager style. Very few hop plants were harmed for the production of this beer! Pleasant but very ordinary. Without a side by each comparison with other pale lagers I'll give this 2.3
2.7 Kinda like drinking a pint of cobwebs, but in a somewhat endearing way. Not something I’ve seen too often around in South Wales, but a pub in the town centre used to have it, which was a bit different. Tried it draught @ the Anchor, Merthyr Tydfil, say...a decade ago? Hah!
3.5 On Tap at PreFunk to kick off AleFort weekend. Clear deep golden with a full dense lasting bright white head. Smooth soft pale golden malts, lightly hopped and a decent body that make is smooth. A little surprised by this one. Nice.
3.2 Uit vroegere notities. Blond bier met witte schuimkraag. Geur: mout, graan, floraal en ietwat grassig. Smaak: redelijk moutzoet en een klein bittertje. Medium koolzuurprikkel. Afdronk: redelijk zoet en wat kruidig.
